Hey Lucky...it's been a year, but time flies, but I hope all is well with you and Smokey. Check out Animal House...another mother cat had kittens and two are up for adoption. Beautiful Male Kittens. Just thought I'd tug at your heart a little with their sweet faces. Have a great time on vacation.
  3. Good Day, I'm not sure if you can help me or not, but I did notice your posting, yet due to physical limitations cannot come to his showing. Could you pass this information along to him in case he would be interested. My father-in-law has left us a huge amount of stain glass and we do not have the talent nor time to pursue this adventure. I'd like to sell all of these pieces to someone that will put it to good use. Library Girl, do you read your "personal messages"? I sent this direct to you, but you didn't reply. In it, I provided you with my contact information, so that Mack Port
  4. Where do I start? First, I've taught adults of all ages 18-60's how to read, that had never learned for various reasons. Their world was verbal and a struggle otherwise-grocery lists to books, yet their desire to learn was enormous and some of the best students I've ever had the privilege to work with. I've worked with first grade students just as an extra "hand" to help out a teacher and again it was the basics, yet they too wanted to learn and had fun learning and were proud of themselves. This is when I discovered cursive was done for as a skill or required learning tool. I wailed! I
  5. It is about time! All my animals have been rescues, and some adopted years ago from Animal Control. Two died within two weeks of adoption, due to upper respiratory illness, yet they were barely old enough to adopt. I had to stop going to Animal Control due to the sadness I felt for those marked for death on Wednesdays and the fact that they did nothing to deserve such a fate except be born, abandoned, left behind by stressed families or just inconvenient due to some misbehavior a human didn't want to tolerate. We humans barely should call ourselves HUMAN, because we cause the suffering to the

  10. Glenn is the MAN of the HOUR when it comes to repairs! We had our old mower that needed serious reviving, but he did it with speed and grace to boot! I happened to really like our large back wheel mower-even over the self-propelled we now own, so Glenn helped us tremendously with all the parts/repairs necessary to bring it back to life. Honest hard work went into it with concern for a timely return and what else can you ask for in getting anything repaired these days? Paulding county is lucky to have people like Glenn to help us out...call and give him the business flow he deserves!

    HOAs

HOA's can be good and bad as most have attested. Here's one not mentioned. LIENS on your home for failure to pay HOA! One friend in FL-hoity-toity gated neighborhood, High HOA etc. had a neighbor fail to pay for several years, and it turned out the HOA OWNED the first rights to any monies when house sold even over the mortgage holder. Needless to say, this became a real issue for the seller when it had to be declared by any agents showing the house. That homeowner had "hard times" and finally abandoned the home and it is still sitting empty. AND the HOA fees keep mounting-no joke-occupied or
  12. Glenn you are a man of many talents! I hate that you risk injury to your fingers or hands by doing repairs to equipment, but I like that you use those hands and fingers for the enjoyment of many music lovers. Thanks for the video and I did watch several and enjoyed each one. I'll pass it along to others. U THE MAN
  13. The price of the car is nothing compared to the price of surviving burns and living the rest of your life with them (if they survive) and the mental anguish all will suffer for years to come. Pity it has been such an expensive lesson learned that had nothing to do with money. So very sad, but worth discussion with teens, other family and friends about what NOT to do!
  14. Did Mommy2 and you ever get together re: dogs/cat and if this would work for her? Hoped my suggestions would be of help to you both. Sophie deserves a loving new home-don't cha think?
  15. MEOW-Let's do our best to find Sophie a new home! She is a "COOL CAT" and may just get along with dogs, but it should be tested in "neutral territory", not in the dog's domain and dog's held on leash. And Sophie would need a HIGH spot to escape to should the introductions not be what you'd hope for. Those are my suggestions and we've had cats and dogs (large and small-both cat/dog) get along fantastically, despite our preconceived thoughts of "this isn't going to work"- soooo it's maybe worth a try.
  16. HEY P.com folks-let's find this cool cat a loving home, tell your neighbors, friends, church members, school friends, family (those you like and those you don't) and anyone that is an animal lover. What we know is Sophie likes to ride in a truck (very unusual), play with kids, and is sweet natured. Love is a warm fur-baby!
  17. HI PC, Saw the photos up and glad Sophie can now represent herself and such a unique personality-loving a car ride! It is evident that Hubby has no intention of working the relationship out between the cat and kid! I understand his frustration, but is he willing to help in posting photos/info at vets offices, or whatever it takes to find a secure home for Sophie? Shift work and lost sleep probably contribute to his problems, but the cat deserves a chance and needs his help in finding a new home too. It isn't all her fault, nor the childs. All cats run and hide when they've had enough. The ch
  18. Good luck finding a new home-it may take time and effort. Put up a PIC and phone/email whatever you prefer at every vet office in Hiram, Dallas and up in N. Paulding on Hwy 92 @ Cedarcrest area (3 offices). In the meantime, uploading a photo: look below the box where you type your message in, see Attachments? See the Browse bar, to the left of it is where your Photo selection will eventually show up. When you select (click on) Browse, it will "open" to a window selection on your computer and on left margin you should see Libaries-Documents, Music, PICTURES etc. Click on PICTURES. All your f
  19. What a fantastic way for people that otherwise could not afford "wedding photos" to capture a moment (maybe after the fact or before) that could only hope to have someone like yourself provide them with fantastic photos! I know from experience because Angela did our wedding video and we've been so grateful to her for the extra effort and time she spent in getting it produced and edited with music of our choice and in "our style". SNL-Christopher Walken in The Continental:>) I think she will be overwhelmed with responses and I hope whoever she chooses is as happy as we've been with her pro
  20. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE POST? What is wrong with asking for help? Please MSG me direct if you have an answer to this HIJACK. If put in another "header" then wouldn't it be polite to at least private message me and let me know where to find my post? I did find it, but it took 2 searches and appreciate the replies. But, I still think that a poster should be notified in a private message if this action is taken.
  21. First thing I noticed was two responders did not read your post well enough to note that you DID NOT WANT the one cup this or that, but hey, it works and with that I do agree. Next, take the peaches to a dear friend that is the best cook you know and ask them to make it and share! This way you don't mess up the kitchen, mess up the peaches and you get to eat someone else's cookin! Enjoy!
  22. Fridays at Hwy 92 & 120 from 3 to 7 the Farmers Market and look for Maxwell Farms, Trina and you will be very pleased with her preserves of all kinds including fig. I know because I gave her my Brown Turkey Figs to make a big batch. They are so naturally sweet and and I hope she will have some for you. LINK: http://www.maxwellfarms.com She also makes Apple Butter without sugar so diabetics can enjoy without guilt. Her pickles of all kinds are just plain delicious and it is hard to pick just one kind. This is a woman who enjoys making wonderful food items and sharing her products
  23. Hey Winston, WE agree, but we can't avoid it, we live behind the park and the noise is not fun at all hours of the night, but hey, the mosquitos, bugs and kids will have fun! Please do not smoke...re: fire is a real concern from even the smallest spark!
  24. I sat at the scene and saw the people being put in ambulances and children in back of one vehicle while mother put on stretcher. I felt sorry for all involved knowing how life changing an instant can change it. What I'd like to know is this. I don't get out much, but to my knowledge this particular intersection seems to have a high rate of accidents. I try to avoid it actually, because if I've seen at least 3 accidents and yet don't leave my home but once maybe twice a week and don't always go in that direction, then the probability of this occurring when I do seems really high. To me the
