  1. I recommened a friend use Johnboy for a transmission in a Ford Taurus and he did a good job.
  2. I have used Johnboy Automotive numerous times and he is fair and does a good job. He is just south of Hiram area and can come to you if needed. Call Steven - 404-444-0289
  3. Anyone have experience with HUFFMAN FAMILY EYE CARE DALLAS, GA 30132 My insurance has changed and old doctor is on on new plan. TIA!
  4. my guess is either the capacitor outside on the condenser or the relays (bugs or dirt keeping them from operating properly.) Probably only a $20 part for the capacitor. First thing to do is pull power from the condenser and then open the access panel where the power is going into. You should see a large tube with some wires coming out of it - probably 2-3 in in diameter and 6 in. long. Does it look like it has exploded or is there oil on it? If so, then that is the problem.
  5. I would stick with oil. Otherwise, you have to prime with an oil based primer and then use your latex paint. I am assuming you are dealing with trim - to me, oil looks better and is more durable. Use a liquid deglosser and then re-paint with the oil-based paint. This is the same for applying the oil-based primer above, so just save yourself a step and stick with oil.
  6. German to US government to Italian hands. I wonder where they will go next. More here: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/11/business/global/11chrysler.html
  7. I thought this one was interesting - story here: http://www.wsbtv.com...401/detail.html
  8. If you are getting ready to sell then just get "jose and sons" to blow and go for the lowest price. The new owners can deal with the pealing paint in 1-2 years. If you want to keep the house for a long time, then go with someone that knows how to prep the house to properly accept and hold the paint. I have used http://www.parkersdesign.com/801.html with good results.
  9. motorcyclist should be charged as well with wreckless driving - both sides should learn lessons that our roads are not for this type of driving
  10. Will loan out my English Pointer for one month. He'll trench up the yard so bad that they won't want to come back.
  11. GemMan, those peaches back in '04 were the best I ever tasted. My wife asked if any would be available anytime soon just a few weeks ago. We enjoy local blueberries. My sons enjoy picking their own strawberries, etc., but I just assume go up to Foster's market on Cobb Parkway for local produce.
  12. The IAC will probably need to be set within spec - you don't just throw it on - based on experience with Toytoas. I am not familiar with setting it on that engine, although I do know that they are prone to getting dirty in stop and go traffic. Do a google similar to this: http://www.explorer4x4.com/iac.htm edited to add - what was the code that pointed you to the IAC? did you check all vacuum lines? Here is a little better troubleshooting link: http://www.ford-trucks.com/article/idx/0/170/article/Ford_Explorer_IAC_Fix.html
  13. probably just needs to be cleaned (not replaced) That ford engine is bad for that, especially in stop and go traffic did you clear the code after replacing the IAC?
  14. I would not like to have "trailer park types" at my pool with their redneck music, smokes, 88 hats, and Budweisers all over the place. So, I guess there would have to be some type of application process and home visit. That would not happen with our association. It takes enough time dealing with the "trailer park types" that somehow purchased a home in the subdivision. So, community pool or a memebership at the Y should work for many.
  15. remember that the property does not need to be rebuilt in the event of a fire - so the price you paid and replacement value will be two different numbers
  16. Assessed value dropped 10% - I think it is still too high for what comparables have been selling for in the community.
  17. Well, all I can say right now is that natural selection has done us a favor with this blue superbike driver. Have not seen him out since that day. Maybe bike is being repaired and we'll get to look forward to EMS racing down the road again in the future.
  18. No way the darter would survive the errosion and sedimet an eyesore like this would cause. I think the onlly way it would fly is for private business to buy up about 10000 acres and then apply for zoning and permission for a park right in the middle of the property. There would be no neighbors to cry about noise, etc.
  19. Congratulations - time will go by quickly so enjoy it while you can.
  20. How many home invasions have there been in Paulding this year?
  21. For the longest time I had Pointer Security Systems. Seeing at the old unit was getting older, I added, as primary backup, Blue Tick Coonhound Security as well. No break ins to date.
  22. I rented one for a church function - to run a PA system. It was about the size of a sewing machine and super quiet. It was $40 for 24 hours.
  23. 50-55 is normal speed on that road. I have never seen GSP running traffic, but PCSO will, on occasion, write speeding citations.
