There is a Guard unit of chopper aviators that is based out of Dobbins and they routinely fly from Dobbins over NE Paulding to the Cartersville area. I know there are several pilots that live in the NE Paulding area and are known to do "fly overs" in the area. I'd suspect this unit is on a training run or maybe one of the aircraft had an issue and had to land.

I saw something like this on I-75N about 6 years ago. The vehicle in the rear caught fire. I pulled my 10# fire extinguisher and hit it but it made no difference in the fire. Heat + lots of fuel = a job for the professionals.

That is thousands of dollars worth of big dollar attorney fees. Getting off easy in the past is probably what many of these kids in this situation. While I agree with the punishment, the problem started long ago with the simple spray painting of the road not being fully investigated and perpetrators punished. As Barney Fife always said "nip it! nip it in the bud!" Same thing for the stupid stuff with the parking cones at NPHS. Find out who is trespassing and nip it!

I'd have to agree on the insurance angle. With water, you are probably in ISO class 5 or 6. Without water availability, you drop to ISO protection class 9. If your home owner's insurance carrier is expecting your home to have water availability, and you don't, then as the carrier, I would want to adjust your rates accordingly. Call your agent and see what ISO class your area is rated at. If it is 9, then you need to have them re-look at it. ISO class is based on availability water, distance to 1st responding fire station, manpower, and many other aspects that determine the class of yo
