  1. I thought about contacting the BOE. Since you thought the same, maybe I will give it a try. I'm not exactly sure where to look, or even on dates, now that I think about it. I've only heard the generic area and time frame. I think, based on what I've heard, that it is supposed to be opening in 2018. Thanks for your reply and input.
  2. Has anyone heard anything about new schools that are supposed to be built next year in the Seven Hills Connector area? I can't seem to find any information online. Everything seems to be word-of-mouth, and the information varies.
  3. Hi everyone. I apologize for this post. After a conversation with the person who sent it to me, I decided to investigate further and I think it may have been a scam. Here is the link on snopes.com...http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/horses.asp I'm very sorry. Does anyone know if I can delete this post?
  4. I had no idea this e-mail had already made its rounds. Thanks for letting me know. We were contacting local stables and everyone we could think of.
  5. This is copied from an e-mail I just received. If you are interested, please PM me and I will be happy to give you the phone number, as I don't feel comfortable putting someone else's information on a public forum. There are 52 horses that need a home. Evidently, the owner died and the son does not want to deal with them. Sadly, the horses are expected to go to Sugarcreek this Saturday for slaughter. Most broodmares are broke and some are in foal weanling, yearlings, 2 yrs & 3yrs old. Most are gelded. They are FREE and come with papers. A friend of the deceased is trying to find
  6. Hello fellow pcommers, I just bought a vehicle that has the clearcoat peeling off the front quarter panel. Any idea how/who could fix this? I just want to get it fixed before it gets worse --plus it looks bad. Thanks!
  7. Hey everyone, My daughter has not been feeling well so we stayed home last night and she missed the Hiram and Powder Springs tree lightings last night. She was hoping maybe one of them was canceled due to the weather last night. Do any of you know if/where any future others are? Thank you!
  8. Thanks LR, and at the risk of sounding like a complete moron...who are the satellite providers? I know of DirectTV...any others?
  9. Apparently, I have to switch over to digital cable by the 24th or I will be without TV. Who services our area and do you like them? Thanks.
  10. Thank you orrby...that puts my mind a little more at ease. According to what I have been told and read today it is only dangerous after 36 weeks. Did it work well for you when you took it?
  11. I totally agree with you...hence my suspicions. I am more into handling things naturally (neti pot, garlic, herbs, etc.) before taking any kind of "modern" medicine --especially antibiotics. I had never heard of this medicine either, but from what I understand it has been around for ages and it is almost exclusively for UTI's...which is what I have. However, I think at this point it is beyond cranberry juice (I'll spare you the details) and I have no other choice but to take it. Really stinks because I don't want to, but then again, if I understand correctly, the benefits outweigh the ris
  12. That is exactly what I was about to say. Honestly, referral or not, he doesn't sound very reliable. Would you rather be out $650 or $25 for a stop payment fee?
  13. I have never "settled", but when my husband and I lost our jobs last summer we tried to be proactive and simply call the companies to see what they could do for us. In my opinion, we had decent success. Only one company flat out told us no. I'm not sure why either. We are good customers for them and never late. Anyways, I would just give them a call and explain it to them. It was relatively easy and the people were nice. We didn't have many cards, but I think the most common thing we ran into was for them to lower the rate for a specified amount of time as well as lower the minimum
  14. LOL...reminds me of the gal from SC in the Miss USA (?) competition a few years back.
  15. Have any of you ever taken Macrobid while pregnant? I am super leery of antibiotics, so like any neurotic pregnant woman I Googled it. Of course, I was able to find plenty of horror stories and reasons to not take it. My logic knows you can find horror stories for anything when looking on the Internet, but I don't want to take any chances. Therefore, I hope some of you have had good experiences you would like to share.
  16. By the way, I'm sorry that happened to your son. I would be really upset about that too. People need to be very cautious before accusing others. Not to mention, calling the law without even talking to any of you is just plain stupid.
  17. Very good point! I had thought of taking pictures of the damage and then mailing it to them with a formal letter, but not to actually invite them to come and look. That would be interesting...
  18. Sorry for the multiple posts. I couldn't figure out how to reply to everything all in one posting. Thank you all for your support. I guess the main reason it got me so upset this time is because I have about 20 lights and around 10 of them are damaged. PLUS I had already talked to this kid's dad once --AND the child with his dad standing there. Not to mention, it wasn't even two weeks ago! I was super respectful and nice about it. Maybe I was too nice and my point wasn't CRYSTAL clear. I try to keep in mind how I would feel if someone came to my house to tell me about what my
  19. Unfortunately, I'm referring to the sidewalk that comes up to my door. He actually has to come way into my yard to even get to it.
  20. Agreed, but I know exactly who (don't know him because he doesn't play with my kids, but know who he is and where he lives) this kid is. He even admitted it the first time when I went to speak to his parents. His dad already knew he had been riding in driveways.
  21. I live in a subdivision and the kids are always up and down the streets on bikes, skateboards, walking, etc. That is to be expected. However, one day about a week and a half ago, my husband was in our driveway with the truck ON preparing to back out of our driveway when these two random kids came riding into our driveway. Not just into the end of it...ALL THE WAY UP TO THE BACK OF THE TRUCK!!! I went running outside because I knew my husband was leaving and asked if he saw them...he said, "who?" He had no idea they were even back there. After a long debate with myself I decided to go
  22. Oh wow! That is a great price! Do you like it? Is it easy to use? I only have the one I was given, so I have nothing to compare to. I have just heard others say that some are not as user friendly as others.
  23. Don't know about Vistaril, but Geodon (from what I know) is indeed for schizophrenia, but will often be prescribed for secondary conditions such as paranoia. Many times a psychiatrist, maybe regular doctors too, will prescribe a medication for its "side effects" as opposed to the med's primary labeling. Sorry, but I don't know anything else about the meds. Hope this helps.
