  1. Carolina Jasmine is wonderful but it will attract bees. Clematis is easy as long as it gets enough sun and it will die back in the winter. I have one clematis growing in my backyard and it comes back every year.
  2. Glad you all enjoyed it and your son had a great birthday dinner.
  3. That last few times I have been out for Japanese the food has been good, but the show, not so much. I guess you may need to call ahead to the place you choose and let them know this is for your kiddo's birthday and you want a chef that will put on a great show. The last place we went was Saporro and it was good but like I said the show was just "okay". A friend told me the Fuji Hanna in Kennesaw is great and to ask for Julio. She said he is the manager now, but will cook upon request. However, it sounds like you don't want to have to drive to Kennesaw if you don't have to, and frankly I don't
  4. Yep, I got it this morning at Target for 19.99. It was a Blu-Ray and DVD combo pack.

  6. So sad to lose someone so very young. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Rest in Peace young one.
  7. This is so sad to hear. I will keep this boy and his family in my thoughts and prayers.
  8. Good for her!! Glad she is okay though. My DH is from that area, Harbor Oaks... Port Orange... DB Shores.
  9. Wow, and why would someone do that? are they just doing it to you? I'm curious now, and will be looking at all of your posts as I see them just to see if this person keeps it up. Weird. Did you tick off someone Lucky64?
  10. That is an incredibly nice thing to do for the food pantry.
  11. This topic prompted me to look online last night and see if pool salt can be used with our system. I think it can be done but then I would have to use a couple other chemicals to keep the pH and mineral numbers within normal operating levels. My pool is not large, 18 ft round, and it's above ground and other than having to add 8 bags of Beginnings at $27 each and $12 for Renewal per bag, it's not terribly expensive to maintain. We had to completely drain and refill the pool this weekend to do some repairs which is why we had to add so many bags of Beginnings. Normally it would only be 1-2 at t
  12. That's what I think and since it is so young it has not developed all of it's natural fears yet. I'm going to call the Dr when they open and see what they say. It does worry me since treatment needs to begin before symptoms appear because after that treatment is nearly always ineffective. Thanks for your reply PM, it does set my mind at ease a bit. Miss Sophie, I see you, just to let you know, this happened in our S/D Buckingham Park.
  13. Last night about 10:30 DH went outside to do something and he heard the fox yapping over in out driveway, DH was on the front porch. DH froze and the baby fox came over sniffed, licked and then bit one of hubby's toes. It did break the skin, barely, but now he's worried about rabies. Let me say that we have seen two baby fox out in the yard every night around the same time for a few nights and they seem to be acting normally as any nocturnal wild animal should. I'm thinking since this fox is so young it came up to him out of curiosity rather than it being fearless due to rabies. It still has b
  14. No I don't use salt, the Mineral Springs calls for Bioguard brand Beginnings and Renewal products to treat the pool. Now the system is a salt water generator and a service tech from Brown's told me last year that I can use pool salt, but I am just afraid to do it and then damage the SWG. What kind of SWG do you have?
  15. I used a fish last year, I really couldn't tell any difference in temp. With that said, my pool is in semi shade and we always have to wait for it to warm to a comfortable temp. If you find that the fish works for you then please post and let me know. I am having the trees around mine removed tomorrow and hopefully that will help with warming it up sooner.
  16. We opened ours today. Hey for those of you who have salt systems, are they actually salt or Mineral Springs? Just wondering because mine is a Mineral Springs but I just call it a salt system since that is pretty much what it is except for some extra mineral and softener stuff that comes in the Renewal product.
  17. So sad, my thoughts and prayers go out to this family.
  18. Subby, I dropped the weed eater off at your house and left in front of your garage. I hope you can get it running or at least be able to use it for parts. Maybe you will be able to find someone that can use a weed eater this year.
  19. I will bring it by either today or tomorrow.
  20. Thanks I will try that this evening. Certainly can't hurt.
  21. My DS has graduated so he will wear them he wants to, but my DD is in 5th grade and she has been wearing capri's when the weather is supposed to be nice. She won't wear shorts right now because she has eczema on her legs that has healed alot but not entirely, yet. It embarrasses her when kids ask her about it or tease her. So far nothing from the dermatologist will clear it up completely.
  22. Wow, congratulations to you and you will definitely love that mixer!!
