Charlies Angels, I just looked on the Paypal website and they have a service where you can set up an account for donations. It looks as if there are no monthly service fees only set percentage rates per donation. One example they gave; it costs you 2.50 for a $100 donation. It is 2.2% + .30 per transaction. It seems like it could work. Maybe you might want to look at it and see what you think.

It bothers me too. IMO it makes the folks doing it look really lazy, disrespectful and down right dirty. We have few people in our S/D that blow grass in the road and leave it, then the clippings dry up and after a rain, end up in the storm drains.

We had a yard sale in our S/D last September and got in touch with The Endless Yard Sale beforehand to set up pick up. They were able to get a lot of stuff because we had something like 17 or 18 homes involved. Mary was straight up with me about donations she makes to the Alzheimer Foundation, she donates what she can every month based on the months sales, rather than a set percentage. I for one appreciated the honesty and to tell you all the truth, the way these thrift stores are able to help people out right now makes them worth their weight in gold. JMHO

We have foxes around us too. They are wild animals and it is our responsibility to appreciate, respect and admire them but from a distance. We feed the birds and squirrels at our house, it's something we enjoy doing. Some of the squirrels are so comfortable with us that they will hang out in the yard while are out there or they will just hop over to other side of the fence and watch. We have no desire to get close enough to touch them. Just don't jump on the medias bandwagon and assume that all of these wild critters are rabid, just take it as a warning to watch from afar. We always have our son's best friend come here to house sit. We have two dogs, a bird and two fish. I make sure he has plenty of food for himself while he's here and we pay him $20 per day. He is not only caring for our animals, he is taking care of our home too. We have known this kid (he's 19) since he was in 3rd grade and trust him completely. If for some reason he can't stay, then we take the dogs with us and my neighbor takes care of my bird and fish. Or the dogs go to the vet for boarding as a last resort.

Try Terro Ant Baits. They work. you can find them at Target on the grocery side with the bug killers. Or Walmart has them now, I saw them in the Hiram location with the bug killers just before going into the garden center area. The Terro is in an orange white and blue box with 6 baits. There are two types indoor and outdoor, get the indoor. Place them where the ants are coming in, the bait will attract a TON of ants to it and in a couple to a few days they will be GONE and DEAD, the whole colony because they take it back to the nest to feed to the others and the queen(s).

When Greystone replaced our electric meter to a digital one, the guy came to my door to let me know what he was doing and that my power would be turned off for a couple of minutes. Could this be who came by? I do not recall if he was wearing a vest or what he was driving, it has been a couple of months or so.
