So sad. Sorry to hear about the dog, but I'm glad the motorcyclist will be okay, from the way it sounds he will be.

Congratulations, he's a pretty baby. Hope LGM is doing well this morning.

I absolutely agree. This is not something to sit on. If it was just a matter of the Dr having a "bad" day, then all will be fine, but if it is something more serious you could certainly be saving someone's life.

Call around and ask for discounts, I believe March is spay/neuter month. That is what vet told me last month, so we had our puppy neutered last week. We use Hiram Animal Hospital.

Wow.

That sounds like fun for a little girl. My DD has been to the Ritzy Pixie and I have to say that place is so great. DD and her friend left there with very special memories they will have for a life time.

My thoughts exactly!!

It's clear now. The back up happened because of the 6th grade field trip. They required six coach buses for all the students and since they returned to school after normal school hours, parents had to pick up their children, That is what caused the back up, fortunately this only occurs a few times each school year for each grade.

student had a field trip today so ridge rd is clogged around Austin ms. Probably for about 15-20 more minutes.

I am sending my thoughts and prayers to her family and friends. RIP Brigette.

We went to the Marietta Diner...had chicken paresan sub, DH had blackened tilapia and DD had pancakes. It was very good, we'll go back.

I bet you're right if there had been a police officer there at the time. The law now is that drivers must slow down and/or move over one lane for emergency vehicles. I believe this should apply to accident scenes, even before the arrival of emergency workers. IMO it's just common sense to slow down and proceed with caution when the situation permits.

You won't be too far from the Marietta Diner. Glad to hear that you and the band are getting plenty of gigs, I need to get my husband out so we can see y'all play.

My fave would have to be Scalini's Ciopino. Yummmmmy!! -
ooooo I love Chicken Parmesan, I bet it's awesome on a sandwich.

Thanks. I have seen plenty of topics on here about the Diner and all had good things to say. DH and I have been talking about going and as soon as we decide to go, the place caught fire. He thought it would be closed for a while, but fortunately it was a small fire and they only closed for a little while.

We have never been there and are planning on going tomorrow. What do they have that's good?

My DH and I have been planning on going to the Marietta Diner tomorrow for dinner. Well, this morning on the radio, DH heard that the restaurant had a fire in the kitchen area and it has been closed. So, I called them and they said it was minor and expect to re-open in about two hours.

Glad he was found safe. Thanks for the update.

The hottest pepper in the world (Bhut Jolokia)
raclay replied to chynnapink's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I've heard of these peppers, but since they are so hot, what do you do with them? I won't be eating them, can't take that kind of heat, but DH loves hot stuff. It's probably best we don't try to grow these. I bet it is funny to watch some drunken fool eat one though. -
I concur. If it ever happened to one of my own kids, DH and I would do whatever to help, but that is only in order to get them through school and/or college. Being a teenager does not exempt them from shirking their responsibilities. As long as we are in a position to help, we will, but we won't raise a kid for them.

Definitely no good. Nope. Nada.

I was a teen Mom and a wife at 18. My DH and I married when I was 17 and he was 20, it was HARD!! The shows that depict "real life" are a joke. They fail to make teens aware of what they are giving up by having babies at such a young age. Don't misunderstand, I don't have any regrets about having my DS, but if I had known then what I know now, I would have waited. Not every teen has parents or other family that will willing or able to help with raising a child so that the teen parent can finish school, go to college and so on. DH and I now have two kids aged 20 and 11 and we have always let t

Those trees are gorgeous and are blooming right now. I only know them as Japanese Magnolia, so thanks for listing other names for them. They do look like pink saucers.
