Wow, you were 7 or 8 and your penmanship was that nice? I bet you have a lovely handwriting now. Wonderful find with the letter, it is very sweet and it gives you a peek back into your past. I remember writing letters to my Grandmother, she lived about 3 miles up the road from us, but still I enjoyed writing.

Does anyone actually KNOW the law for this county

One of my neighbors gave his grandson a shotgun or a rifle for Christmas. That kid (high school age) shoots that darn thing on a regular basis, sometimes in the morning sometimes in the evening, but either way those bullets or shells have to go somewhere. I just hope they don't ever end up in my house or a neighbors house or for that matter the elementary school that is close by. -
If it were my kid that the teacher called an a**, I would ask my kid what he/she did to deserve the name calling. I have been known on occasion to call my DS an A** when he is being one, even my dear husband has been called such by me when he is being one. In all seriousness, I would do nothing unless it was something that happened on a regular basis and was meant to be demeaning.

I didn't hear anything at all. I didn't even know it rained until this morning. -
Now I would happily take a cake as a reward, it tastes better.
-
No I would not take a reward. Except under the circumstances where I might have to pay for vet treatment. Otherwise, I would say no and use the money to have the pet checked out. It's far more rewarding to reunite someone with their beloved pet or an item that was lost than any monetary reward.

You know that didn't dawn on me until you mentioned it, but DD won't wear skirts without shorts underneath or it has to be a skort. She always wears a cami or a tank under her shirts too for fear of her bra showing. I guess she is a bit more modest than I give her credit for. Although she does try to get me to buy the short shorts. She is tall and has very long legs, so shorts that fit most girls appropriately look almost like daisy dukes on DD. Therefore she has to try on shorts when we buy them to make sure they fit right. Heck she doesn't even wear makeup, except once in a blue moon she wil

My DD tries to get me to buy "sexy" things for her sometimes, I refuse and use the excuse "you can't wear that to school or in public so I'm not wasting money on it". She usually agrees and we find something appropriate. It really does amaze me how some of the young girls are dressing and parents that allow it. There is no way my husband or I would allow DD to dress that way, she's only eleven and if she ever decides to dress provocatively, she'll do it when she is a legal adult and no longer living under my roof. Most likely by then she won't want to, hopefully.

Hopefully this horse will soon be moved to a proper facility where it can thrive. If it is accustomed to being with other horses, it needs to be with other horses, besides they are social animals. Another thing, how is it that a 17 year old minor can legally own any animal? I always thought one must be 18 or older to legally claim ownership.

The memory book is beautiful and such a great way share pictures with others. I was actually wondering about you yesterday and how you have been doing.

I've only had four months to get them done...LOL!

I claimed it as a deductible. It was a 30+ year old pump that my Dad had installed when he had the well dug. Honestly, I was quite surprised that we got that many years out of that pump. Now if only this new one will last as long. Now I am finally done with my taxes, nothing like putting things off until the last minute.
-
Thank you for your reply. I am going to claim it as a deductible.
-
Correct, it was simply replacing the pump that is down in the well, nothing else changed. Thank you for responding, I thought it was considered a repair and considered under normal operating conditions.
-
Last September I had to replace the well that provides water to my rental property, it was $1750.00. Is that considered a normal repair or do I have to claim it as depreciation, say like a new roof would have to be? TIA

I sent you a PM, but as far as I know it's SS they cheat. I have no idea about taxes.
-
I know of someone who cheats the system, I just have no idea how to report them. They have been reported before by another person, but nothing ever came of it. Go figure.
-
Same here, I did my son's taxes using taxact and it did not ask for mine or hubby's SSN.
-
Congratulations!!! Wishing you both many years of happiness together.

When my DD was very young, about 3 or 4, she talked to someone she called Max. After awhile I started to wonder after my DS said something to me about hearing her talking to "Max". So we pulled out the photos that had been put away in the top of a closet and showed DD the picture I was looking for, I asked her if she knew who that was in the pic, she said "Max". DS and I were floored, Max was our red Chow Chow that died in 1996, my DD was born in 1999. She obviously never knew Max or ever did she a photo of him until that day. Not too long after showing her the pic, she quit talking to him. I
