  1. That is awesome, I love Whole Foods. Is this in Paulding or just inside Cobb? Hoping it's in Paulding.
  2. I have had my Roku for five months and it's great and I want to drop cable. However, I have not been able to find a way for him to watch NASCAR with out it. Does anyone know how to watch a LIVE sports event, preferably NASCAR, any other way? It is not on any ROKU channels, or playon tv, or justintv.
  3. It must have been very hard for her, as it was for your grandson. Just because someone is deaf doesn't mean they don't have a voice, they simply need to be shown how to find it. We've come a long way in how we as a society treat those who have disabilities. I always thought I would learn to sign, never did, but I am always amazed when I see someone who can.
  4. That is incredible. I used to love reading about her when I was a child. She was so fascinating and now to hear her actually speak has made her story come full circle for me. She truly was an inspiration and oh the patience "Teacher" Anne Sullivan had with her, especially when they first met, Helen was a wild child.
  5. We have a neighbor who kept their snowmen sidewalk lights and garland up AND lit until shortly before Easter.
  6. Blondie, it's okay, you can watch it. Wonderful story.
  7. How did I miss this, I live in the same SD as Stradial? Prayers sent for whomever needed help.
  8. Sams Club had gas this morning. I only put $50 in, maybe I should have filled up.
  9. You can also try calling Lifesmiles in New Hope. Dr Parbhoo is amazing.
  10. No kidding. DH has tickets to the NHRA race that was postponed last weekend and is supposed to be run today and tomorrow. I REALLY hope the rain doesn't come so he can go.
  11. Prayers for Spencer and your family.
  12. She really enjoys the manga's, the ones you read back to front and left to right. I will check with the branch on 92 next to the old cotton gin first before you have to make requests. Thank you so much and I will let you know.
  13. Does your branch have any of the Dragon Ball Z mangas? My daughter has read the first 13 books in the series and her school doesn't have the rest. Thanks
  14. I read the same information on FB, too. Really hoping he will be okay.
  15. My husband and both of our kids are supposed to go to Commerce for the NHRA race with friends. It looks like it may be rained out, but hopefully it will pass through and they can all get to go. They have been looking forward to this for quite a while.
  16. Thanks for the info, I didn't know either.
  17. Congratulations, Wade. I know you are so proud of your son,SS and you should be, he has worked very hard to achieve his dream. I hope he continues to follow those dreams and will soar high with all the other "stars" out there, it's well deserved.
  18. Hmm, good question. I have not thought about that, going to look it up. Here's what I found: "There currently is no state death penalty in Massachusetts, life without the possibilty of parole being the only punishment for first-degree murder. The federal government prosecutes capital cases within Massachusetts, however. " source: My link
  19. I hoping that due to his age, he will talk and talk a lot. Some say it would have been nice to put an end to his life for what he did and do it on the spot. However, if the FBI or whomever can get as much information out of him, then it will be to the benefit of our country. He will still have to be tried, whether it is done in a civil court or military and he will likely face the death penalty. If that's the case, he will die for his crimes and we will might be lucky enough to get info to put others behind bars.
  20. I like the Marriott, it's at the end of River Street. The Hyatt is also nice and both places have valet parking, so no need to worry about finding a spot. I have also stayed at the Hilton Desoto on Liberty St., it's very nice, but not really walking distance to the river front unless you don't mind walking a few blocks.
  21. Good luck, GT and hope you all have a fun run.
  22. Now that you mention it, I remember hearing something too. I thought it was a jet, but it would have been really low, since it sounded so close. It sounds like it was heard all over, we are in the South Paulding area.
