  2. This advice was sent by a retired State Farm agent! This system has been tried and it works in every state.

If you get a speeding ticket or went through a red light, or whatever the case may be, you're going to get points on your license and a surcharge on your auto insurance. This is a method to insure that you DO NOT get the points.

When you get your fine, send in a check to pay for it. If the fine is $79.00 make the check out for $82.00, some small amount over the fine. The system will then have to send you back a check for the difference. However, here is the trick: DO NOT CASH THE REFUND CHECK! Throw it away! Points are not assessed to your license until all Financial Transactions are complete. If you do not cash the check, then the transactions are NOT complete. The system has received its money and is satisfied and will no longer bother you. This information comes from an unmentionable computer company that sets up the standard databases used by every state. Send this to everyone you know. You never know when they may need a break

I have contact with a guy in Nigeria that would like for you give him your bank account number so he can deposit 100 million USD and for your trouble he will give you 8 mil of it.

LAWWD HAbmercy…… when will the insanity end??????

ETA; My fee for putting you in contact with this guy is only 100 USD, please pay me in cash, in advance, thank you.

  3. A note was sent home to notify parents what happened at their childrens' school. The information administration recieved was from the police, so it is not actually spreading "rumors". I'm pretty sure if a note was not sent home, then everyone would be all upset and crucifying the school for that as well...

OK, I don’t understand, was this pharmacy IN the school? What happened at the school that it needed to send notes home?

  4. Robbed: "to take something from (someone) by unlawful force or threat of violence; steal from."`

Nothing was taken and yes a knife was used but nothing was taken. The cashier screamed when he pulled the knife he ran away before he could take something.

I love how people state things before knowing what really went on. If you don't believe me go ask the store manager.

The crime/charge would still be robbery, the only difference is that in the complete /attempt box on the incident report/PC affidavit the attempt would be checked.

  5. Makes 5 cups

5 cups cabbage, cut into bite-size pieces

    6 Tbs salt

    2 Tbs sugar

1 tsp to 2 Tbs crushed red pepper flakes (according to taste)

1/4 tsp fresh ginger root, finely chopped

1 clove garlic, peeled and finely chopped

    2 green onions, finely chopped

1.) In a large colander, mix cabbage with 5 Tbs salt. Let sit for 3 hours.

2.) Rinse cabbage thoroughly 2 or 3 times. Gently squeeze out excessliquid with your hands.

3.) Place the drained cabbage in a large glass bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.

4.) Cover cabbage mixture tightly with plastic wrap and let sit at room temperature for 1 or 2 days.

5.) Chill Kim Chee before serving.

  6. Lets send this thread into ULTRA gross! How about I was wondering if that would be a good facial........the acid eating away at the dead skin cells :pardon: :bad:

I could see the potential; but what a marketing nightmare…. :D

  7. Nope. But these were not young guys. One was well into his fifties.

Next time walk up to them with a smile and a “guest registration” book “name, address, DOB”. Ask them to sign the book and ask to see ID for confirmation, tell them it is a liability issue and you are just covering the bases. With this information go to the magistrate judge and take out a warrant on them for trespass. :D

  8. This is neither here nor there, but elements from his personnel file that have since been released showed that this particular officer's instincts were flawed on more than one occasion. We all worry about the lives of law enforcement officers, but leaving this guy unchecked could have potentially led to the death of some unarmed civilian down the line via gunfire or pursuit and the DPD would have been stuck holding the bag. They were well within their rights to cut ties with the guy based on his history.

The gunman in this case is ultimately responsible for these deaths, but there are plenty of unhinged folks out there looking for a little prodding, and they are plenty of talking-heads out to give it to them.

Well I must admit that I have not kept up with this and do not know what has been reveled in this officer’s personnel file. If there is a history of not dealing with incidents well he should have received additional training and if this was offered and he still was not performing to the prescribed standards outlined by the department he should have been dealt with up to and including termination before he was allowed to proceed solo.

Maybe that is why DPD was so fast to jump on the bandwagon against him, to cover their own rear ends for not insuring that he was properly prepared to go solo and failure to remedy any problems or issues that were in his personnel file prior to this incident.

Working on the Copula and that part is about 75% done

The Weathervane is the next project sometime this week.

When it is done I will post pictures etc.

I have the main steel pole to get welded. It was snapped in two and I jsut noted it a few days ago.

BTW NE did you get your weather vane fixed?

I have the tools and ability to do the brazing, if I can help with it let me know.

  9. This is why the death penalty is in place in most states. Now this guy needs to suffer a long an painful death. Do I think this could have been prevented, maybe not as this is really the exception and not the rule. This guy had this planned out and he knew what he was doing.

NE I can only hope he does suffer a miserable existence for whatever time he has remaining. I think the death penalty would be a lot more of a deterrent if the executions were plastered all over the news and folks could actually see the death occur instead of hearing about in a passing news blip.

BTW NE did you get your weather vane fixed?

  10. It would seem to me that most officers would agree that getting guys like that Dallas cop out of the industry would be a good thing for their overall reputation, but what do I know?

Reading the accounts of the incident and the gunman, it is much more likely that this is the result of a weak-minded sociopath who was able to be way too influenced by the likes of lunatic fringe fear-mongers such as Glenn Beck.

Oh so it is the right wingers or other factions that are responsible for these officers death.

From what I DO know, your thinking is flawed. I know a lot of officers including myself who agree that it would have been better if the officer was able to handle the situation differently but the bottom line is the officer violated NO laws or department policy, which is the only thing that should come into consideration when censuring an officer.

Until the powers that be install a provision in the laws that permit people to “legally” violate the law, the only person who should be held accountable for any problems or inconveniences that result from said person’s violation of the law is the violator themselves.

All that came from the Dallas incident is some feel good pandering from the department brass and a nation of law enforcement officers that will question actions that should be instinctive in a situation; and more officers will die because of the hesitation to make a decision for fear of hurting someone’s feelings and the officer being hung out for “trial by media” and ridicule from folks that don’t have a clue what’s going on.

As far as Glen Beck, the left call it “fear mongering”, those of us with our heads uninserted call it “the obvious”.

THE ONLY PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATHS OF THESE OFFICERS IS THE PERSON WHO PULLED THE TRIGER.

  11. Three police officers were killed and at least two others were wounded in Pittsburgh Saturday after a domestic disturbance call turned into a gunfight. The alleged shooter, Richard Poplawski, was taken into custody.

I wonder if the officers let their guard down because they were afraid that they may appear to be insensitive to his situation and be forced to resign.

  12. If the break is recent; at the break site the brass will look more of a yellow as copper will look more red in color. If it is copper and it has not been kept polished there will be a layer of Patina that will look kind of green. Do you know if this is cast or forged?
