question for the arthritis of the knee sufferers
mojo413 replied to Mama Carol's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My wife went several years in 24 hour, 7 day, 52 week pain doing every treatment, shot and theraphy the insurance company would allow. She also tried every home treatment suggested by every friend. Finally the insurance company decided to let her have the worst knee replaced in August 2001. The recovery was brutial. Within the first 3 weeks I thought we had made a mistake due to the after surgery pain being so intense. She then started getting better. She was out of work 15 weeks. At the same time the other knee was getting worst. By May 2002 she could not stand the pain any longer and -
Help! We are buying a new vehicle and need some advice
mojo413 replied to raclay's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I've got to counter your suggestion. Our daughter died suddenly almost 2 years ago. She had bought both her vehicles here a couple years before. Unexpectedly we were thrown into handling her estate. We wanted to recover all we could for her 9 year old son. Needing to know if she had bought credit life insurance and not being able to find the sales contracts we walked in the front door at the aboved mentioned dealer and asked for help. Everyone there stopped what they we doing and within minutes found the contracts for us. It was amazing, they went into battle mode to find these cont -
Whitey you are right. The Court House turns my stomach each time I ride by it or go in to conduct business. $65,000,000.00 at 4% for 30 years works out to a $310,320.00 monthly payment. Figuring a 30 day month that's a $10,344.00 payment per day. Figuring occupying the court house 21 working days a month that's a $14,777.00 payment a day. Figuring a 24 hour day that's a $431.00 payment per hour. Figuring occupying the court house 9 working hours a day that's a $1,642.00 payment per hour. Name 1) job anyone knows this court house has created. We need to bring up this video and

Ms. Jessie update - for those who wish to know
mojo413 replied to HawkeyeAngel's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I can not disagree with you. For years whenever I would see her on the road I would turn the radio up, close my window, look the other way and imagine she was not there. After reading about how nice she could be (here on Paulding.com) I made the mistake of speaking to her in Wal-Mart by name one day, of which she replied she would "kick my A$$". I will not make that mistake again. I pray a drunk, distracted or disabled driver never runs her down while standing on the edge of the major intersections in Hiram. -
Looking for a cool family friendly place to eat

We went to Big Pie In The Sky in Kennesaw the other night. Great pizza, big portions and lots of fun. They have a challenge... If 2 people can eat a 30" pizza in 1 hour they get it free. -
Dallas Collision... Did us a great job. Henderson Collision... Did us a great job... Friends of ours. The Collision Center at Dallas Dodge... My insurance company sent me there for a write up after a minor ding. My adjuster was upset with them when I told her they tried to hard sale / strong arm me into leaving my truck there on a Friday afternoon. I wasn't going to do anything without the adjusters approval... Ended up she did not approve them to do the work... Starting the job on Friday afternoon would have cost her 2 extra days rental car cost while the truck sat there over the weekend

They fixed a pickup for us about 10 years ago. They did a great job. I have since then become friends with Ricky at Hendesons. They do great work too.

Wondering what's happening? Did they close, move or stay?

I enjoy going to Joan's in downtown Dallas. It's like stepping back in time 30 years. Most likely because they haven't done anything to the building in 30 years. Nothing fancy just good old fashioned breakfast.

Your Paulding Tax Dollars continue down the drain

Surepip have you considered running for BOC? Seems to me we need you to shake the trees of government. I live in Tommie Graham's post. If you do too I will vote for you. -
Large Bank Gets Pad Locked After Homeowner Forecloses On It

The comment about Surepip ending up with the Court House was numerous. I read it as a funny joke. Here's the part that isn't funny. The taxpayers did not pay for the court house... The taxpayers WILL be paying for it for many years to come. I do not know the exact details of the bond sale to build it, but here is some educated guessing... $65,000,000.00 at 4% for 30 years is $310,319.94 per month. That's $10,344.00 per day based on a 30 day month or $431.00 per hour based on a 24 hour day plus utilities and operating cost. Converting that to a 5 day work week and an 8 hour work -
You are exactly right about both companys. I grew up where Winn Dixie was the king of grocery stores. It was easy to see them sinking. If you ever have the opportunity to hear Dan Cathy speak you will be blessed. Truett Cathy is leaving Chick-Fil-A in good hands.

Read post # 9. A short version of why they closed is given. I'm sure most will agree Ms Winners had tastey food. But the upper management did nothing but raid the proceeds from the loans. Go into Chick-Fil-A in Hiram and ask yourself why it's full of customers and Ms Winners were all almost empty? I'll give you a hint. Look at the sparkle in the eye of each employee. They are excited you came in and they will stop at nothing to serve you. The poor Ms Winners employees were trying to endure another hour in their he'll hole. Why the difference? The upper management at Chick-Fil-A lo

Agreed... Wonderful food, good size portions, clean and friendly staff. -
Agreed. We had not been there in several months. We went in about 7pm Sunday evening. The buffet looked NASTY. We turned around and left real quickly. We might try it again in several months. If it's still open then.

The uninsured driver is a fire chief? If so, that would make a great channel 5 story.

Paulding County, GSP and City of Dallas use a rotation system where approved towing services with inspected equipment, Screened drivers, secure lots and lots of insurance are on call depending on their position in the rotation. They are on call and must respond within a set amount of time. Their rates and fees are set by the government agency. You can call your own tow service but they must respond within the set amount of time. If your car has a "hold" on it, it must be impounded until the agency releases the hold. Normally this would be if the vehicle did not have current tags or insurance o

It sickens me. I consider myself a conservative, right wing, family values republican, and then we have high profile leaders in the party sleeping around. I never liked Bill Clinton and there was Newt leading the charge to impeach Bill all while Newt had his mistress shacked up in their condo. No wonder people don't trust us republicans.

Hiram IHOP is one of the few places on my "Will never step foot in again" list. New one at West Cobb is nice.

For many years when I did a nice little gesture for someone and they said "thank you" I would reply "no problem". I intended nothing offensive it was just a reflex to responding back to someone who said "thank you". Really to hold a door open for someone or slow down and let them pass by first really wasn't a problem. Yesterday I held a door open for a lady and she said "thank you". Just before I replied back I thought about this topic I had been following for a couple of days. My first thought was she might be offended if I said "no problem". So I said nothing. For many years it rea

I do not know the property or cafe owner either. I do hope they can come to an agreement that works for both. I really hate to see this coffee shop leave. I love the atmoshere, food, service and friendlyness of the staff. It will be tough to replace all the atributes elsewhere. Hopefully the building owner, cafe owner and customers can all win.

I don't think I will ever own a Volkswagon and if I ever do I will NOT buy it from the dealer on Thornton Road. Month or 2 ago I got a mailing from them. I either won a new car, $10,000 or 2 lottery tickets. It also had a coupon worth $4,000 on a new car. No strings attached, no pressure, just come in and claim my prize. Sales person was a jerk. I told him up front I only wanted to claim my prize and I was not interested in looking at a new car. He told me I was narrow minded because I did not understand he was trying to give me $4,000 off on a new car. He grabbed the mailer out of m

Since this seems to be an opinion thread, here's mine: Judge Tony Beavers is a fine man. If you ever have the chance to meet him you will find he is a very good man who loves his family, community and country. I have known Tony for many years. James Watts first referred me to him to do some title work for me. That first meeting turned into a long term friendship. When he became a judge it was bitter sweet for me. I was happy for him while at the same time I was saddened because I lost my lawyer. Tony handled several closings for me and did some estate work work us. I always enjoyed meeting wit
