  1. We have been patients of the Wellstar Physicians Office in Hiram since we lived out here. Never totally thrilled, but not enough to go find someone. Well, after today, that will need to change.

DH has had a sinus infection since last weekend. Went to the doctor Tuesday, got a shot of antibiotics and 800 mg motrin. He has had pain in his eye sockets and his mouth from the pressure. The motrin did nothing, and he even tried 2. So I called in and told them, they called in a zpack and some pain pills. Call again this morning, because the discharge has changed from green to brown and has an odor. The lady I talked to said he needs to come in at noon. He goes all the way from Cartersville to make the appointment only to be told by the Nurse Practitioner that he needs to use nasal spray also. Well DH got po'd. If that was all he needed, why was he told to come right in? NP went and told the dr that DH was being rude, so Dr went in and ruded him out. Now DH doesn't feel good, hasn't been sleeping because of all of it, and has a Dr reprimand him like he was a child. All Dr says is you have to give meds time to work, 10-14 days and that the front desk doesn't know what they are talking about and shouldn't have had him come in. WTF? So DH wants us to pick a new doctor, he refuses to go back there.

So can anyone recommend another general practioner?

    Thanks!!

  2. I have her blog as a link and look at it every morning. I don't know this family, but I feel this immense connection.

I have a question. I don't know anything about being in a vegetative state, but all these things that he is doing, the moving around and such, is that possible in a vegetative state? Was talking back and forth yesterday on the thread about "keeping him around for selfish reasons" so I just wondered. To me all these signs would point to the doctors being wrong about that.

  4. He says that She "believed" that the kids were "damaged' Why is he STILL making excuses for her?

    ETA: and he's already remarried??

That man might not have physically helped drown those kids, but he is just as responsible as she is. There is no way he could have lived with her day in and day out and not known she was a threat to those kids. By continuing to get her pregnant, while she was in that condition is just as much on his shoulders. Those poor kids know that they were betrayed by both their parents. Just a sad sad situation for those kids only. While I don't think I will ever know the depth of her depression (I experienced post partum but never bad enough to consider harming my kids), signs were there that this could occur. She is still in jail, I believe and he should be right there with her. Not starting a new life with a new wife and having more kids.

  5. Yes. I wouldn't keep my child alive out of my own selfish interests if he had no hope of regaining any quality of life.

    :(

I think the "no hope" is the sticky point. The mother and family have every hope, every faith in god. He seems to be making improvements that they thought would never happen. I am just glad I don't have to make that terrible decision.

  6. makes it? makes it to what? life as a vegetable?

he'd be better off not making it.

    :(

You look at the pictures and the videos and that baby looks so peaceful and healthy. I guess when I think of vegetative state, I picture no movement, with the slack face expressions etc. As a mother, would you think that if it was your child laying there?
