  1. To think that these parent's hard earned money for tuition pays this women's salary.

The young people graduating will not have good memories of that day.

People think that private schools give their children better educations.

Being private they also make their own rules and decide what is and is not appropriate behavior by their teachers.

We ran into some issues with that. 15 years ago when searching for a private school for our son we decided against a few schools because there was no diversity in the students. It just did not feel right that all the kids were white.

  2. I was shocked at the people that jumped on this women for child abuse.

Parents teach children self discipline by creating a consequence for their wrong actions.

We do it because we know that the world out there is full of worse consequences we can not protect them from.

His mother was protecting him, maybe even from death in a riot.

He is a big boy, she got his attention.

Sometimes I see what amounts to abuse when kids are not disciplined and they stay in trouble in school all the time because they don't really know right from wrong.

  3. I was stunned to see the archives scrolling by and the familiar names.

It made me miss the old p.com and all the fun we had.

I especially miss Tbar, he is such an interesting person. He was a great contributor to this site.

As far as the tunnels and the conspiracy theories I am not to sure.

I think we all believe at times that the other shoe is going to drop.

I can't live for that day so I make the best of every day.

The thing that stresses me out when I think about it is the global shrinking of the pie.

It is not changing just getting worse, common sense tells me that the 99% can't live on 1% and sooner or later the pressure will build until we start reducing the numbers that we have to share it with.

As a behavioral experiment this is not so much a prediction but a fact.

I think this is were a lot of the conspiracy theories and preppers are coming from.

We all have the weight on our mind, we may not be able to articulate it but it is there.

It definitely makes us want to believe some of this.

  4. This is a very in depth article and answers a lot of questions about why there is suppression of studies, information and treatment.

It explains why people go undiagnosed and why it is so hard to cure in late stages.

I believe that knowledge is power and it is key to early diagnosis and cure of this disease

Why? Because this clever bacteria has found a way to dumb down the immune system and white blood cells so that it’s not detectable until treatment is initiated. To diagnose Lyme properly you must see a “Lyme Literate MD (LLMD),” however, more and more doctors are turning their backs on patients due to sheer fear of losing their practices! Insurance companies and the CDC will do whatever it takes to stop Chronic Lyme Disease from being diagnosed, treated, or widely recognized as an increasingly common issue.

  5. Does the tic serve any useful purpose? Time to make them extinct.

Believe me we try in my yard. We were late getting the granules down. Of course the first warm weekend we had to get rid of sticks to mow the yard. Husband and I got multiple bites. We bagged and tagged them and put the granules down. It helps, but we still see a few.

I am not comfortable in putting down a broad spectrum insecticide all over the yard and into the wood line. We are hopeful of getting the population down and who knows how many carrying the bacteria we kill. We may be saving some of the small critters from getting it and spreading it to more areas.

  6. Her story was also on the front page of people magazine.

She thought she was going to die......that's how bad she felt.

She's learning to deal with it.

A little known fact about people dying from Lyme. A very small percentage die when it attacks the heart. The rest die from suicide.

They are so sick and so depressed. After many years of looking for help only to find very little relief from long term antibiotic treatment they have no hope of any quality of life. Many are treated as hypochondriacs due to the bacteria invading the entire body. They have hundreds of symptoms.

After years and hundreds of articles, plus private testimony I have changed my conclusions about why this has been suppressed.

This bacteria has the ability to mimic almost every disease known. If proper reporting were done, we would have wide spread panic such as the fear we see from pandemics. If the CDC lied about the 30,000 a year was really 300,000 a year then it is more likely 300,000.000 a year and more than 1/2 is late stage due to not reporting and lack of education.

I had an infectious disease doctor that ask me how I could catch it multiple times on my own property? All I could think is this is supposed to be an expert on these diseases and he ask me that? That is why I drive everyone crazy this time of year.

The general public is just seeing these horror stories from famous people. We hear hundreds of these local every year.

These people never fully recover from this disease!

  7. Can anyone tell me, (or tell me how to find out), what churches in Paulding County or Villa Rica hold pot luck or hobo dinners open to the public? I know some seniors that are interested and only know of 2 locally.

    Thanks for your help

You might try Burnt Hickory Methodist church, they have quite a few throughout the year.

  8. This is my comment on the issue. In the past there have been folks that feel passionately about an issue, such as the airport, the new courthouse, and other projects. I have no problem with that. I think it is great.

But then there are a few and I have seen it first hand that once they sign up, put their name down and stand behind that podium with an audience being held captive for 5 minutes get a rush.

From then on they check the agenda, form an opinion or simply notice something that is the responsibility of the county is not up to snuff.

I can only imagine their anticipation waiting for the publishing of the video where they get tell the BOC what is what.

The board of commissioners politely listen as always.

The way to test the waters is not to publish to see if someone really cares about the issue or if they are grandstanding. Those grandstanding tend to disappear after a few times of not being published.

I don't believe in censorship, but on the other hand I don't want to hear someone babble about any and everything to make themselves the star of every BOC meeting.

  9. We had this discussion on my fb page. It does not bother me. I had my children in the day when you had to go to the car or restroom to avoid dirty looks. My babies hated a blanket over their heads and would fuss.

Muffin tops offend me a lot more. I am so sick of thin shirts over spare tires showing the out line of the squinting belly button.

I don't make any effort to disguise the look on my face. You know why? Because I know damn well you have a mirror at home and you are lying to yourself. You need a dose of the truth, that is just plain gross.

  10. Congratulations to all of the newly elected officials and to the people who held themselves out for public office but fell short. It is a humbling experience to run for office and anyone who takes on the challenge deserves the respect of their fellow citizens.

I could not agree more. After observing local politics the last few years, I am not sure if we can ever get good decent people to run here.If no dirt can be dug up, it is made up.

Honesty and integrity are not a requirement to run here. It is about serving those that want something and are willing to pay for it. I have distanced myself from local politics. I saw all I ever want to see.

At the state level the issue of the almost impossibility of replacing incumbents makes me feel hopeless.

I want to thank you for doing a great job.

  11. I am stunned to hear this. She was way too young, this is tragic. I can't understand how she could have

been in the emergency room a few days ago and they did not find whatever was wrong with

    her that caused her death.

It had been a long time since she was happy. I am pretty sure that my husband and I helped

her with Christmas for her teens years ago. I know then that she talked about how appreciative

she was to be able to give them something for Christmas, it meant a lot to her.

That is the reason we always chose to help families with teens. It hurts the mom more

than the kids to not be able to provide for them.

I am glad that she found many who cared for her through p.com.

I am praying that she is at peace and comforted by the unconditional love of the creator.

I pray for her children, no matter the circumstances, they will suffer from the loss of their mom.

  12. I have been thinking about Ron off and on since the accident.

I keep remembering his big smile and almost child like enthusiasm for his company

and community projects. I remember doing ad campaigns with him, he loved to negotiate.

When he walked into a room you could feel the energy. This is a huge loss to this community.

My heart goes out to his family, friends, and employees.

  13. And you would close this thread if you did not want this out there, of course this would not fit into LPPT and your game plan on this issue.... Shame on you!!!!

When it comes to politics and campaigns you see everything as manipulation and strategy.

Bottom line there is no strategy to this issue.

It is called integrity and honor, maybe that is an alien concept to you.

The decisions on this issue were made on those grounds.

  14. I love their food! Fresh.! and cooked like mom's.

I don't care what it is served on. the money goes to fresh vegetables

and hard working people that know how to cook and truly serve!!

Some folks love to eat at the corporate food trough, that's fine, but don't be tryin

to kill the individual business owner going above and beyond.

Maybe some folks just don't like food without the plastic aftertaste from being

reheated in the microwave from the production plant.

I can't believe you are trashing these people.

    As always sounds WONDERFUL.

What was your last health inspection score? I haven't seen anything posted on p.com since your failing grade. I am sure it has come up and am sure I am not the only one wondering what that recheck was.

Sounds like a personal problem to me.

A time and location might be helpful for someone who wanted to attend. :)

I think there was some info on this here, sorry...........next time we'll make a special thread. I have a feeling we'll have more of these. It was really great for all but one to attend. There is a full video on here somewhere. Would you like the link?

Who is the one it was not great for to attend?

I worded that wrong. All but one attended because he had to take care of his mom. I thought it was great that 8 out of 9 attended.

I thought it was great too. I thought you may have worded it wrong since you are normally straight forward but I wanted to make sure.

  17. I have always felt that it is important for people to be as informed as possible before going to the polls.

I hope the Save Paulding group does not mind me sharing this.

They did a great job and I appreciate them organizing this and contributing to the education of Paulding voters.

I appreciate the candidates that participated also.

We are all effected by the decisions of all the commissioners, it is important to

get to know them all and express our support for candidates even outside our own post.

  18. Blackberry winter generally comes on the tail end of the Dogwoods blooming.

Easter is late this year, or the equinox. While freezing temps can kill vegetation the hours

of daylight generally cause growth or slow it down.

The weather systems aren't really tightly controlled by the angle of the planet. I think we will see some very warm days between now and Easter but you can't expect too much growth from

annuals and vegetables until after the equinox.

I am beyond ready to put the big hibiscus I wintered over in the house outside. It is simply to soon. It has to be well after Easter to safely put them out.
