I have a funny story about that. We had a popular pizza place that delivered here from Bartow county. We knew they did because the lady across from us did not cook much. The delivery guy was over there between 5 and 10 times a week I kid you not. She had 3 teens and about 5 more over there all the time. Well she went on a diet, the kids grew up and moved away. Guess what 8 months ago we tried to get a pizza delivered, they don't deliver here anymore. The point, if a lot in your area order, they will come!

Thanks for posting this. I book marked. I have become such a home body. I keep saying next time I am in town I have to bring you the scooter. Most of the time now I head west, Jen still needs a lot of help. She is weight bearing at a serious cost of pain. They are trying to keep her off narcotic pain meds because she is so young. She is very limited because of the pain. I am gonna get there with it eventually. Maybe a little push is needed LOL. Thanks again for the link!

The ground is pretty cold. We are getting a little warm up but the ground temp will fall quickly when this comes in. I always have to go to the store, we mostly eat fresh fruits and veggies so when they are gone, they are gone fridge is empty!

I saw that. I am not surprised that they have to charge those with other insurance more. In fact they have always done it. Your doctor or hospital usually had to be in network work to even get paid. They signed a contract saying that they would accept lower payment or percentage. They all raised their fees to make sure they could get paid what they needed to. For the unfortunate patients it raised their percentage also. A lot of people don't understand the game. You think I care? 0% is what I want them to make. They are not much better than the mafia. They don't care how you pay it and if

Back when this all started I explained to people how a system worked. It is a wonderful thing that takes out the middleman (insurance company) and uses the money to pay for all the personnel and equipment. It is a mind boggling amount of money going straight to medicine. As the system grows so do the access to more doctors and facility. In our community you will be hard pressed to find a doctor not in the system. For those practicing the art of medicine, truly wanting to help sick people this is going to be the best thing that ever happened to them with guaranteed payment and less than

I know more than I ever want to know and hope I can forget most of it. I was just saying that the reasoning was sound, but with many things the execution fell far short. Those managing had no skin in the game and our studio was not the only one they were working for. These people got paid tons of money whether they found a client for us or any of the other studios in Georgia. They had no stake or interest in the community. Nobody ever saw them or talked to them. The same goes for the group at the airport. They are not involved in the community and the community does not trust them. When the o

As part of the staff that fell over themselves, I would remind you that we were deep in a recession in this county. The construction business that made up at least 70% of the local economy had gone bust. I personally watched many small businesses go under followed by their mortgages. Families working in the city were losing their homes with the steady rise of the cost of living. All you hear on here is that the economy is not really improving because of the president. It seems to me it must be pretty good since everyone has forgotten it existed. They are anxiously turning on the leaders of th

This is my comment on the issue. In the past there have been folks that feel passionately about an issue, such as the airport, the new courthouse, and other projects. I have no problem with that. I think it is great. But then there are a few and I have seen it first hand that once they sign up, put their name down and stand behind that podium with an audience being held captive for 5 minutes get a rush. From then on they check the agenda, form an opinion or simply notice something that is the responsibility of the county is not up to snuff. I can only imagine their anticipation waiting f

This family has paid the very worse consequence for their uncontrolled drug abuse. Unfortunately what has happened to them is not as uncommon as people might want to believe. None of these people have any coping skills to deal with real life. Most drug abusers don't. Hopefully it stops with Bobbi, no more inflicting pain, no more doing drugs to deal with it. I am just shaking my head, what can we do? There has to be something. I was thinking about this today and it came to me that we are a country of extremely depressed people. Suicides and over doses seem to be more common than car a

I think this shows that happiness does not come from contrived circumstances but from within. Many people create circumstances in their mind that when they achieve them they will finally be happy. This family has talent, fame, and fortune yet their hearts are in shreds and they use drugs to ease the pain. I don't think Bobbi could allow herself to be happy, she never had a good example of it in front of her. She won't come out of this whole, who knows she might be happier in a simple way.

We had what sounded like someone shooting off about 100 rounds up here about 10-15 per round for about half an hour. The thing is they had to be very heavy loads, they sounded closer to what you hear at a fireworks show. It is not that unusual up here. I just assumed that some folks are making their own ammo with big loads. I don't know if it has anything to do with what yall are hearing unless it was actually blasting and like you said some wells in your area collapsing from them.

Drug Abuse Heroin, pain killer overdoses take 32 lives in Paulding in 2014

I am walking a lot more with the brace. I don't think it would help him because his is more compression issues. So far I have no compression issues, mine is side to side motion meaning that every step aggravates. If people see me lifting something they rush over you have a bad back don't do that. I have to explain my particular problem so they understand. I have to have help with things that require me going up and down steps or inclines. It broke my heart when I tried to take care of my daughter downstairs and I could not. After trying for a few days I was bed ridden. My son came through. It -

I am considering going back to the Gym by using a back brace and seated machines to reduce the amount of movement in the facet joints. I had no relief from the shots in the joints. They think I am allergic to the meds because it caused burning and enlarged area of pain. I hope that our discussion can illustrate to people the difference between real pain management and junkies. Most people with real pain hate the meds. The junkies can't get enough, they are making it difficult and expensive for those of us that truly need it. Not to mention the embarrassment factor where everyone believe -

Miss you too. I am always looking for things that work. I looked into the nerve burning. Most people get maybe 6 months before the pain comes back. I could accept destroying nerve tissue for permanent relief but not for that. I think eventually they will find something that is non-narcotic. I talk to people that are taking 3 doses of gabepenton and leading relatively normal lives. One of the weird things is that many doctors and people think that anything is better than a narcotic. I have never been so scared in my life as when I took that. I was confused and out of it. The people that take it -

My medical record says dependent not addicted. When I went in with the heart issues they treated me very respectfully. They made sure that my pain meds were available to me by request. Nobody tried to force me into withdrawal. I needed just enough to prevent withdrawal because as long as I am flat on my back like in the hospital I have little or no pain. I know there are people out there that wouldn't think laying on their back watching tv and eating is not the worse thing that could happen to them. For me it is like being sentenced to hell. My medicine allows me to have a somewhat normal act -

Everyone that has had to take narcotic pain medicine for pain or after a procedure knows that you get that buzz. After taking it for a long time you no longer get that feeling. For me I get extremely tense from the excruciating pain that is like a mild toothache and without the meds it gets to the level (that if you had ever had a bad toothache) you would let them pull it without Novocain. The only sensation I get is relaxation from the pain easing. What happens to many is they relate the buzz to pain relief, when there is no buzz they take more and more. I have goal each day take to take -

For most addicts there is no such thing as high enough, I saw a lot of it as a teen. At least with alcohol and pot they pass out before they can harm themselves. I talked to my kids constantly about the drugs of no return. Heroin and Meth. They are both so highly addictive that the odds are stacked against them from the first time on. I tried to be realistic about the possibilities of drinking and smoking, I discouraged it, but I also recognized that people can and do enjoy something to relax them at the end of the day, so we discussed doing it responsibly. My point is that drug educatio -

Great job you 2. I wanted to address the issue of removing people from boards. I am not saying I think that they should be removed. I am pretty sure that it can be done at the state level if the citizens sign a recall or petition. There is no way that there is no way to do it. The people of a county have the right to protect themselves against incompetent people spending their money. That goes for people that hold offices here too. I am glad to see you both address the issue of diplomacy and vengefulness that is common. I have talked to some of the people in the county with lawsuits a -

I just wanted to say thanks to Pubby for publishing these meetings. Another thing, I have been there when the peanut gallery could clearly be heard and they are an embarrassment period. No matter what side of an issue they are on, they discredit themselves when they do it, especially the same ones at every meeting. -
Kim, I knew you would read this. You and Nick keep up and are very approachable when people have concerns. When I wrote my response I knew you would read it. I stand by my suggestion. If the board is approached by a company to outsource anything that they will have contact with our children please direct the board to look into Shelby county schools. It has been a disaster, they have not saved money, and they put the children at risk.
