  1. He clearly sided with those that don't believe in climate change in his campaign. He seems to be back peddling, as in he now believes it but the Americans got a raw deal. I believe he could not only shoot someone on the street and still be supported, he could open fire on a crowd killing dozens and still be supported.
  2. Actually it was a study to find out if a connecting HWY was feasible. A toll rd. was one of the options to pay for it. In the end there was simply too much residential growth through all the options. It would simply cost too much to purchase right of ways and fight residents in court that didn't want to live near it. The express ways have brought industrial growth to our neighbors and tax relief. Paulding will become a more and more expensive place to live in the future. Very little of our state income taxes will come back to us in the way of transportation dollars.
  3. We would be going gang busters if we had a 4 lane running through the county that connected I-20 to I-75. The problem is that our neighboring counties already have an expressway in their counties and are not inclined to help us out. Now if we could persuade the feds that the connection is a need for commerce in West Ga. we might have a chance. If our representatives would focus on these things rather than re-election by religion we might actually see some progress in this direction. We also have people in the county that have a vested interest in seeing us remain a bedroom community. We spe
  4. Are you suggesting we start killing Muslims because they kill Christians?
  5. Not too savvy but we do have fiber here. Interestingly enough ATT has been providing Uverse on it. After they bought direct tv they have tried to get customers back on satellite. If my internet speed is any indication they seem to be rationing it to residential consumers. I am not sure if there is a big difference in size or quality from one area to the other. It was actually a northwest Ga. project.
  6. I am encouraged to see them addressing the litter problem in Paulding. It is not only the dumping but so much throwing litter out of car windows. People always want to point out everything bad about our county we have a great drug program that is truly helping our people. The reservoir is going to be a future game changer for us. I still hold out hope that one day we will have industry here to bring in good jobs, also giving us some tax relief as we continue to grow as a bedroom community. I have to agree with Deena in that our reputation as far as industrial development has been harmed ove
  7. Condolences to you and your family on your loss.
  8. These evil people want a war between Muslims and all other religions. They have convinced themselves that only the Muslims that die will go to heaven and the infidels will all go to hell/ Every act is to push the world into going after Muslims. They do not care how many suffer and die. They have no empathy for anyone. They want Muslims to be discriminated against and thrown out. Every law in every country made to discriminate against the Muslims is one step closer to a religious war. It is against our christian beliefs and principals to be pushed into this.
  9. Mark works very hard. There are realtors that will put you and your house on the back burner if it is under a certain amount. I have never know him to do that to anyone. Inventory is low in the 150,000 and under range so you may get a bidding war and get the most possible in the market. By the way Mark is married now so it is Mark Palm.
  10. My guess is she is not playing along. She may have to show up but she does not have to pretend to be the loving wife. If he doesn't want to deal with the tabloid fodder he needs to keep his hands to himself in the future. I will be shocked if that marriage last through the presidency. It is hard on good marriages catastrophic on others. He has made it clear how he feels about females in general.
  11. I have a belief that most drunks are more fragile than the rest of us. If you look hard enough or at the right time you will see it. The family often struggles with the feeling of relief that causes them guilt and pain in the end. It is often difficult to memorialize them. The fact that you did so says so much about you as a person. It reminds us that everyone is at least the child of someone and maybe a brother, or father. I hope he has finally found that soft place to fall and rest.
  12. Strangely enough some Muslims believe we are getting what we deserve. Like the ones whose family members are being killed with the weapons we sold a dictator that kills his own people. In the end it is the fault of the women that not having a legal way to abort will use a coat hanger or other illegal objects intended for that use. As we know the enemy of Americans are impoverished Americans. No young women and her child want to be hated for her inability to provide. We encourage aboortzions more than any other nation. Complex problems that no meme can truly portray.
  13. I thought the same thing about the headline. It assumes too much. On the other hand outward appearances as in the little gestures of affection most couples share are glaringly missing. The contrast is of course in comparison to the loving Obama family.
  14. The first lady’s hand slap heard ’round the world is far from the first time she’s shown disdain for her husband. Welcome to the club.
  15. Religion has always been a way to control people and God an excuse to kill those that don't believe the way you do. Christians often scurry back to the 1st testament to justify discrimination and killing. In fact we have practiced many of the same discrimination's as Muslims in the past, if not for the New testament we would be stoning and killing also. I don't subscribe to the blog in the link, it was just the first to come up on a google search. America also has many small cults that generally allow sexual exploitation of women and children. http://www.alternet.org/tea-party-and-
  16. It was good to see Melissa surrounded by family and close friends yesterday. The coming days will be tough when everyone flies back home and others go back to work. Please continue to pray for her comfort.
  17. If anyone wants to send anything I will be glad to meet and take it with me this afternoon, just message me.
  18. Thad, Dad, left this world early this morning. He always told us to have a party, so that is what we are doing. Please come join us to reminisce, chat, laugh, cry, whatever you want. But come to celebrate Thad because he would have loved that. Please BYOB and let me, or Thad IV, know if you can bring a covered plate. Thank you to every one who has reached out to us. Lets remember him as he would have loved!!! Tomorrow at 3:30 PM 670 Lowell Drive SW, Marietta, GA 30008
  19. Ryan Hale, Thad Morrison III ... I will forever miss you. You made me laugh. You stood with me through two of the most difficult times of my life. You taught me a lot. You shared your stories, your home, your food, and your time --- and I am most grateful. Most of all, you shared with me your friendship. Thank you, Thad, for being a good person and being like an older brother to me these past 17 years. I'm a better man for having known you. We never got to open that Chateau de Pape I've been saving, but I promise that it will go with the finest meal I can get, and Melissa Morrison will e
  20. That was a lesson in integrity. I was also taught that an omission that misled was the same as a lie. You did not lie in my home period.
  21. Jamie Gilbert So sad to hear about the passing of my friend Thad Morrison. He was a good man who cared about me and economic development in Paulding County. Always trying to be a mentor and do what he could to help our cause of bringing jobs to Paulding despite his disagreement with the county. He leaves behind a wonderful wife and family. Please keep them in your prayers.
  22. From Steven Redmond on Facebook 22 mins · Thad Morrison III… he was one of the special ones. He was a mentor… a friend to so many. I'll remember his stories… his laugh… oh that laugh… I may miss it the most. He was a larger than life figure with seemingly bountiful stories and knowledge. But he was also just a big teddy bear. He made you feel comfortable, accepted, and wanted without being anymore than himself. It goes without saying Thad accomplished a great deal in his life. But to hear it from Thad his most cherished accomplishments started the day he met his prize, Melissa and the
  23. We spent many hours on the porch. They were an extraordinary couple. Most remember them for their political struggles with the county. They were so much more than that. They were tireless in their community activities and support before their business failed in the recession and troubles with the county. Many will remember that. I knew them as world travelers with many engaging tales of that time in their life. Thad was a very intelligent man, he continued to work even after his disabilities from the last surgery. Melissa was very proud that he was still being sought out by the poultry busines
  24. We know from many years on p,com that the internet is very appealing to the mentally ill. The definition of mental illness is their actions are not reasonable in any way.
