LINK You have got to be kidding me. Why do I have visions of swastikas in my head? But there is another bill introduced at the Legislature that could be cause for some public relations headaches for Arizona, spark a legal fight and feed into the Grand Canyon State’s right-wing narrative that’s been turning off some tourists, young professionals, Hispanics and businesses. A group of Republican lawmakers want to require Arizona students to recite a loyalty oath to the U.S. and its Constitution before they can graduate high school. They are sponsoring House Bill 2467 in the

When millions of any product are sold per year, an ounce or an inch does put more money in a businesses pocket. I think a certain fast food restaurant has the same size bun and a noticably smaller piece of meat, this regular sized sandwhich makes no claim to size such as a 1/4lb or 1/2lb burger. It adds up or they wouldn't do it.

ummm yes People like to get what they pay for

As usual they don't know how much difference an inch can make Obviously subway gets it

Our Habitat for Humanity put their qualified people through a class, they have to learn how to maintain the home. They get an idea of the actual cost of maintenance. They also have to learn budgeting. There is a big difference in living in an apt than a home. Utilities tend to be stable in apartments. If something breaks the landlord fixes it. Home owners always need a rainy day savings, but most don't for household emergencies. One thing I love about the program is the fact they build it to be energy efficient. When we put the community chest volunteers together we would often have ap

Thanks for welcoming Chris, like every one else I feel that networks don't do a good job for us when the event is here. Chris will probably do most of his posting from his place. We will try to have him at the office when there is a big event because we have a generator. I could have used him last year, I don't know if I shared this, the night of the tornado that hit the airport Pubby and I stayed late. We we went in the basement for safety and turned the studio computers on. I was hanging out the back door with a camera, I always wanted twister footage I figured I could take 2 steps bac

They ship most of their inventory, it is truly a warehouse where they store inventory until it sells and ships. Call and ask for Arleigh, ask her if someone can stay late to let you shop. I love it there, So much cool stuff.

We had this happen to us, we found out they were not paying the mortgage. We lived there not paying rent until we saved enough for down payment first and last month plus money to pay for the moving truck then found another place. The owner was not going to tell us he was going to keep putting the money in his pocket and let the bank throw us out.

Talking to Bill he gave me the impression that the covenants are a little different from area to area. These houses are not free to these people. They are interest free loans. Everyone gets paid, plumber, electrician ect. There is absolutely nothing free about these homes, it is not a give away, The referral to get one has to come from your employer and the application process is stringent I don't know if it was different back then. The property if defaulted on goes back to Habitat, that can sell it to anyone on the open market. I also know that I have seen what you describe in low cost n

I watched a doomsday planner show for the first time the other day, I am not up for that. But what you said is what has me concerned, there seems to be a consensus that they can't do it, lets not worry overly much after 9/11 that attitude really bothers. We have a new security adviser, we don't know how he is treating the threat it genuinely worries me. There is little or no discussion about the threat yet gun control is a firestorm. If you mention Taliban or Islamic extremest everyone has plenty say. It seems like the threat from N.Korea is being played down when S. Korea is extremely conc

The fun of being a meteorologist is looking at long range computer models, most people that subscribe to it enjoy it. All of them do it, hint about a computer model showing 10 days out and revise as you get closer. There is another model about severe weather around the first coming up, the fun is in the watching and then covering it with radar when it gets here. The closer you get to the event the models come together until you get within a day or an hour. The fun in having Chris with us is he will allow us to play in the fun and suspense. This thread is the last report before his system

That is what they are saying, I don't trust it, we were pretty arrogant about terrorist and they found a way. I think the assumption that they aren't smart enough is very dangerous.

I thought it might make the difference between a nuke landing in the states or not.But what do I know, right? A group hating us is one thing a Government is another. If we had the information that many had before 9/11 would the Americans have put pressure on our leaders to neutralize them before we were harmed? It is a conversation the American people should be having now instead of after the attack. If we believe that we are in danger, then our government needs to respond accordingly. People owning guns is not near the threat that this is it took us what a few weeks to pass some useless

Exactly, as we go through the process of this change we will have choices, it is important when we choose where our healthcare dollars go that we don't choose the control you control cost in exchange for what we will be told is less expensive care. It is a way to get you to support that system and allow a monopoly system. What will happen will be the problem that has been with us for 10 years which is insurance companies dumping the less profitable patients on the tax payer. that means not only will I pay my own premiums but will pay higher taxes for those not paying. The risk can be spread o

Here is a little paragraph from the Peach Pundit. This is an ongoing issue for the state. Our Governor with the support of our legislatures told the feds to shove the medicaid money with full knowledge of the risk to our hospitals, they put the loss it back on the doctors and facilities. My guess is that the hospitals hit the worse will end up being bought up by a system, I am very curious to see which one. I am not absolutely sure that this was not part of a plan from day one. This will not address the fact that hospitals are still being forced to deliver indigent care that our state does n

I have been with them close to 10 years, they were the least expensive for self pay. The system method helps to keep cost down. This is why hospitals are creating systems. They are pulling in practices, I doubt that practices that refuse to join a system will be able to get paid, unless with cash. One of my biggest worries is that people will starve systems thinking they are fighting socialized medicine when what they are doing will accomplish the exact opposite. You should have the option to pay the system of your choice rather than going through a third party the insurance company. The ins

This paragraph is one of the most relevant to Obama care, because Obama care is just a rewrite of Kaiser care. If you have been with Kaiser then you will know everything you need to know about how Obama care will work. Our hospital systems are in a race struggling to create a system just like Kaiser. The deadline is looming for our Hospitals struggling to get the system operational, during a time when they are being forced to cover more and more indigent care with less and less funds. States that refused the federal medicaid are putting their hospitals at risk for failure and take over of th

LINK I am more that a little concerned about this issue. Reading the article all I can think of is all the intelligence people that came forward after 9/11 and said that their voices had been silenced. The administration chose the reports they wanted to believe and left us vulnerable. Quite honestly this article scared me based on what happened the last time hatred for us was expressed. I worry that our enemies perceive us as weak because of our financial woes. We are in an extremely week position as far as having another war on our hands. Our financial weakness should be a frightening
