I saw this on the news. They said one person is missing. I hope they find them. This is so sad that those house's are on fire. Prayers and good thoughts sent to the families.

ITS OFFICIAL: NO CLASSES FRIDAY, JANUARY 14, 2011 FOR STUDENTS. Twelve-month staff should report to work at their regular time. All sporting and extra-curricular activities and events for Friday and Friday night are canceled. A decision on Saturday and Sunday school related events (ex: sporting contests) will be rendered on Friday.
The Youth Tournament at EPHS is canceled for Saturday

Thank you for the information....My question didn't get answered in the other thread so I will ask here. What time is EPHS going to start since I don't know when school starts there. When I have to bring my kids early it's normally by 7:30 and also, the buses will be running by then unless the school does close since they closed a road tonight.

I understand what you are saying BUT and IF you are from up North we are equiped with such vehicles that handle these kinds of emergency where the South isn't equiped with such vehicles because they normally don't have to deal with snow or ice. They do the best they can with what they have. They can take all the class's they can but if they don't have the equipment and the experience in dealing with this, it will take some time. I'm from the New England area, raised in Michigan, and I have to say that our boys out there, whether the sheriff department, EMT's, or the fire station, they are doing a wonderful job out there tonight to help those that ran off the road.
Also, I don't care where a person is from, it is a b*tch to drive on black ice. I have all the experience in driving in winter conditions, but black ice, one will never master.
And for the record: Don't use salt, it ruins the roads and vehicles. Use dirt/sand, it's better all around for roads and vehicles.

Supposed they've executed a search warrant on a storage locker and have recovered some of the stolen items. They've also recovered some items from two different pawn shops. It should only be a couple of days before everyone is contacted and requested to go down to identify their property.
See, certain posters of this thread were right, the theifs would slip up somewhere. Dumbest criminals, not to bright. Glad they finally got caught.

I have to stand up and say - I'm not frightened - I'm pissed. Someone has invaded my quiet safe neighborhood and taken things from it. And, I'm not going to stand for it. Frightened is just setting yourself up to be taken advantage of. The fact is that us watching out for each other is what is going to stop this.
The fact is that no SO is ever going to be able to figure out if the red truck in your neighbor's driveway belongs there or not. They don't know and can't know what's normal. I've never seen the comcast van. But, you better believe that I'll call the cops if I see one.
Put your stuff away - secure it well - don't leave things where they can seen or easily taken. Put valuables in a safe or other secure location. Watch out for your neighbors. I've seen four SO drive through the neighborhood tonight. I've seen 7 neighbors driving through the neighborhood. I know of four of us that are driving the neighborhood at different times during the day. I know have a good idea of what "normal" looks like in the back of the neigborhood. I've gone and gotten the paint ball gun from the farm. Fact is that I can tag someone's A$$ and mark them pretty well. Try explaining the fact that you've been turned in to the cops and you've got the big orange blob and bruise still on you.

And, what I'm truly dreading is when these stupid idiots break into the wrong house and get thier a$$ shot and killed. Then, we're going to have to go through the whole - he was such a good boy. He has such a future. He sang like an angel. That's what I don't want to deal with - the garbage about how wonderful this/these thief/thieves were. Yuck.

On another note, they spoke of Paulding reporting or being involved about some Mayor in Braselton, something to that. Any one have the complete story on that?
