  1. I signed up for the federal court pacer project last night and got the credentials today. I checked these documents from that source and I'm appalled the documents were as easily editable as they were ... but apparently they were as available from the federal court filing system.

There are a couple of other things notable and that includes the original loan apparently was to mature in 2009 and, as the banks were in default, etc. that deadline passed.

If the law is such that this disqualifies him from holding office, then so be it. It doesn't change my opinion that Mr. Heath doesn't represent Paulding and given the residents of Polk and Haralson county voted 2:1 against him, he wouldn't appear to represent them either.

However, I do not think that a loan that, through receiver after receiver comes to be owned by the FDIC - an insurance program put together by banks under law to assure the stability of the banking system - is necessarily a disqualification if for no other reason this would give the federal government the ability to buy any debt and declare the borrower in default (rightly or wrongly) and therefore be able to dictate who can represent people in a state senate or house district. I just don't think we want to cede that power to the federal government .... and finding that this is a formal disqualification is what that amounts to.

I think even the current Supreme court would have that much confidence in the local voter to choose their representative.

Well, the proof is right there that he lied.

  2. Is there a honest canidate?Or just not in trouble, does it just come with the turf. Our elected officials have to be some sort of honest don't they? maybe.......

That's Paulding for ya! No wonder the news people come here so fast when it's negative. This whole county is crooked. LOL, now watch I get the heat for that one. And no, I'm not generalizing EVERYONE, just the crooked politicians/school system in this town.

  3. In his statement, he did say he owed no taxes whatsoever.

The note to Silverton Bank, however, became - if this is a true statement at all - was federal debt only through the receivership of the bank by the FDIC. That allegation is apparently based on documents that IMHO have some real issues (possible forgeries).

I can't say definitively that these are forgeries as the copies I got were not questioned (or appeared questionable) until after 5 p.m. meaning that verification of them would not be possible until tomorrow. However, the failure to use security for the documents makes it quite feasible that the documents could be fakes as the copy I doctored so easily proves.

Pubby you actually believe that? Come one now, you honestly think that a voter would go out of their way to make up something so damaging as that? You can't trust him (Carruth) either. Apparently he doesn't know where he lives neither. Even if this wasn't happening, Crist and Carruth would never received my vote. I don't like sneaky/ crooked people. Gee's, kinda reminds me of the school's Central Office. IMHO of course!!! Now if these are forgeries that you think they might be, I feel sorry for the person that brought this to everyone's attention.

  4. Thats a great point. This is the main reason we register each one with the local emergency services. In Paulding Co. we are supplying a picture and address of each install to the Sheriffs office. They are then setting it up in their system to alert any fire, rescue or police of a shelter at that address. Also, we install our shelter in the garage 12" inside the garage door. This allows the least amount of building material to come down on the shelter and also keeps your family 12" from safety. We offer a 7 ton hydralic jack that can lift the shelter lid up if there is a total collapse. One can also park a car over the shelter to allow the material to "tee pee" over the shelter allowing easy escape. Thank you for your response.

Thank you for replying, I just learned something interesting!

  5. That'a pretty cool. I've always wondered with people who do have storm shelters in their garage or out in their yard, how do you get out if the house is on top of you? I saw on the weather channel about a tornado that ripped through a neighborhood and this lady went to her storm shelter in her yard and after the tornado passed, she couldn't get out because of the tree's and trash that was over the door. It took two days for someone to find her. This pre-teen that was with his father looking for people after the storm happened to hear her faint yell.
