  1. ...and this is more to the point and the reason i posted this. Today, i saw this happening 3 times just between 2 schools for the <5 minutes i was at both locations. How often is this happening when you run it across the departments? And i'm not naive enough to think that it's just Sheriff Officer - take it across the county to all those that drive tax payer funded vehicles. it sets me off i guess because i just got finished writing the check to Paulding for 2010 and I (like many) are struggling. I'd love to have a no-expense vehicle. it'd be at least a $5k raise in my budget.

You could always think about it this way: Their salary, (like everyone who works for the state) comes from the state budget, the money for the state budget comes from taxes that are paid, they receive a check for their work (of which they pay taxes), so in all reality if you look at it that way, they are actually paying part of their own salary. I for one am thankful for the job that all of our LEO's do and I know that when I pull up to the school in the bus and the kids see a LEO car, (even if they are just dropping off their child), it makes a difference!

  2. Will, the issues I have expressed on the outsourcing of ASP, bus drivers, etc. is NOT about the amount of money saved. Maybe you should research this one a bit more prior to commenting. You COMPLETELY missed the point. dry.gif

After school program "ASP" is offered at the elementary level as a form of daycare for working parents. It's been mentioned that the BOE has discussed outsourcing this program. It is overseen by paid staffers.

You should also research what has happened to the middle school sports.

    Madea-

I was also wondering what the deal was with the school calendar. I mean why are we starting school in the hottest month of the year and having a break every 6 weeks? I would love to see a power bill from one high school in Paulding county for the month of August versus the month of September. I mean how much money would we be saving there?

  3. It is just like a tanning bed except it has the red light lamps instead of a tanning lamps. Unlike tanning, you start out with the maximum session time of 20 minutes. You are not required to stay the full session time, but results will vary depending on how long you do stay.

$40 is for a full, unlimited month. You can use it everyday if desired, but it is not required. It is recommended to use the bed 2 - 3 times a week in the beginning.

I lay in that bed sometimes before I get in the Matrix bed and it helps my back feel better (I have two herninated disc)

  4. :D I love it!!!! Hunting kept me and alot of Our Friends out of Trouble when we were younger! I love hunting and I still do.. Our children will have a chance to see what it is! Nothing wrong with it at all... :D

    Great Job

Yep- me too. My dad would be at the football games and we would leave after the game go hunting for the weekend and I'm sure I stayed out of a lot of trouble. We are teaching our kids to hunt and take the time to teach correctly.

    The pics are awesome

  5. :D Yea!!!!!

That would be a GREAT thing to win- it cost me 48.00 to take me and 3 kids to see Transformers and buy popcorn and drinks the other day- there were some great previews and that would be right on time! Fingers crossed
