Empire is way over-priced. They have a limited selection (whatever the salesman brings to your house after he asks you what colors you're considering). Cheap carpet. Lots of middle men to feed.

I'm not a grandparent, but I've seen enough of my friends malign their in-laws that it sickens me. People (especially daughters in law) get their panties in a wad over the dumbest stuff. Maybe Grandma just wants to be a part of it. Maybe Grandma doesn't have a winning personality. Maybe Grandma isn't your biggest fan. Maybe Grandma really DOES have some wisdom born of experience. I had the worst, dumbest, meanest Mother-in-law on the planet. And I treated her with the utmost respect. I thanked her for her input. I often followed it, unless it was even minutely detrimental. It usua

Can you clarify something for me? I have a business. So I think what you are saying is that I should keep enough to get by and then give the rest of my profits to my employees. I'm not there to make a big profit, but to take care of my big asset (my employees). I should not sock away money for a downturn? Or spend more money on myself? I kind of wanted a house with indoor plumbing, something a bit fancier than I have now. But perhaps I should rethink my needs? Maybe I do not need anything fancier . . . I'm just curious about one thing: where can I find the acceptable numbers on what I

thank you. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it existed anywhere on the planet. I've searched many hours. I'd buy the sheet music, if it existed anywhere on the planet. I've searched many hours for that, too. I'm not skilled enough to poke out the tune myself on the piano. It is the theme song to the "New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking." Specifically, the one that starts, "Freedom calls, Pippi runs . . . . Pippi Longstocking is coming into your town" So even a crappy karaoke is fine with me . . . if it didn't seem above my head. Of course, the mp3 I have might not even be in stereo.

Hey, can anyone on here make a karaoke track for me if I have the Mp3 already? they have free software that will do it, supposedly, but it seems a bit above my head. If you can do it, please let me know your fee. Thanks!

We need someone to come out and trim all the shrubs and edge the lawn and refresh pinestraw. Does anyone here do that?

technically, though, there is a place on your tax return where you are to list "other income". It becomes more of an honesty thing, but not traceable in this instance. But former member said that because of the tax ramifications, her tax advisor advised AGAINST it. But guess what. The capital gains tax is the same percentage no matter what you buy. Buy IBM stock and sell at profit, is same capital gains tax as buying gold and seling at a profit. So that is a stupid reason to advise against buying it. It isn't taxed differently. Naturally, another stupid reason not to buy it is tha

but we're as solid as it gets short of a true collapse ... pubby I think you are beginning to understand what others are worried about. Gosh, I hope our government gets structured like so many European nations. Their model is working so well . . . And naturally, for those European nations who are struggling, well, they obviously just need to make a few adjustments. We can do their model, but better, no doubt. Say, we could try it with the National Health Insurance! We can do it better than Europe. And we already do our National Retirement really great. No problems there. I t

I agree with you!! You are right. The extremists want to remove our rights on a National Level. Damn extreme lefties

HUH???? What do you mean we don't have a national retirement plan??? What do you think Social Security is? I don't understand what you mean when you say we don't have a national school system. Toe the line, or you don't get federal money. All schools, all 50 states, are government run, and essentially, nationalized. We DO have a National Health care. Yes, it was passed. It is coming in to play piece meal. Can't shove it all down right away, the economy would collapse. Soon, the national health care will be as solvent as the national retirement program, er, i mean, social securit

Yes, cease to try to convince with your evidence. Let's see, what was your evidence again? Oh, yeah, we MUST support unbiased PBS so that we have educational tv for viewers. And your evidence says that I must pay for it. You decided it. I must pay for it. The Government, which does a fabulous job with our national retirement and national school system and national health system, MUST also provide a government t.v. channel. Good evidence! Keep it coming. My emotions are slowly swaying your way because of your facts.

Why do only amateurs and partisans dwell on the parts? It would be foolish not to research the number and find out exactly what it means. Please do not vote based on this number alone. Do your research first. Break down the number. Make sure you understand it. Annoy a liberal! Think for yourself (someone has a quote very much like that).

Probably the OP also realizes (but maybe forgot to mention it) that there are a record number of people in USA not employed. That's right. NEVER in history have we had so many people not working. That is what a 'record' means. I am glad we added some jobs. But it is not an arbiter of a "slow and steady" economic turn around. You see, we have a "record" number of employable people who are NOT employed. http://cnsnews.com/news/article/record-88921000-americans-not-labor-force-119000-fewer-employed-august-july

sick-minded anti-aboortzion law enacted? Just curious, but for those who believe life begins at conception, how does that make them 'sick-minded?' And, if life doesn't begin at conception, is it okay to abort a day or two before delivery? And, if not, on what day does the life begin? What happens if you choose the day (say, for example, the 123rd day of pregnancy) and you were wrong about the conception date? Note that I am not putting my stance out here, but I'm merely asking a legit question. I refuse to address the criminalization of a miscarriage. That is a good way to p

Cher's voice is distinctive. You know who is singing, even if you do not know the song. Mrs. Homer Simpson's voice is distinctive. You know it, with your eyes closed. The news anchors voices are distinct. They are trained that way, as are actors. Their voices are "set apart" and easily distinguished.

Yes, my 17 year old also has high liver enzymes. He, too, is drug free and only drinks water (I don't think he's ever had an energy drink). The doctor thought it was perhaps Gilbert's Syndrome. They are running further blood tests this week. We discovered this on accident two weeks ago during a routine physical.

United States Took The Right Action After Crash Of 2008

You are right of course. The only way to pull out of debt is to spend more money. How do those other countries not see that? -
Another fine example of an American Corporation...

You're right, of course, How ridiculous can that company be to pay the workers the least amount they can. They should pay them more and to hell with profits. Really, we do not need any strong, wealthy companies in United States. Profits should not be their primary concern. They are in business to provide well-paying, secure jobs. That is their true function. And I have decreed how much in profits they are to be permitted. In fact, while I'm at it, I am going to decree the profits each individual family in the United States is permitted. -
let us not forget "the man wasn't hung from the tree until dead." One can only be hanged. Irregardless isn't even a word, so I guess there are no rules attached to it. And here is the one that is possibly the least well-known: snuck is not a word. One sneaks out of the house. "I sneaked out." Never, "I snuck out" My two cents . . .
