  1. I'm a little surprised (not a lot, but a little) by those who think cheating is an automatic deal-breaker without looking for the underlying cause. There are many ways that trust can be broken.

I agree. I think that some people can work through things. It really depends on a person's personal experience in the marriage.

  2.

    1) For women: What would be worse - if you found out that your husband was having a long-term affair with his secretary (or a female coworker), or, if you found out your husband had used a high dollar call girl/escort service to just have sex on the side but wasn't having an "affair" with any particular girl?

    2) For men: Similar: What would be worse - if you found our your wife was having a long term affair with one of your neighbor's husbands, or, if you found out she had a quick "fling" with the young guy (18 or over) who mows your yard?

Both are bad and I would leave without thinking twice, but I think having sex with a call girl would put the spouse being cheated on at a greater risk for std's than having a long term extra marital affair with one person. Both would cause an end to the marriage.

  3. I have a friend that is a private pilot and eats there a lot - loves it!

I went there with my husband on march 19th and will NEVER go back. It's called Elevation Chophouse. The steak I ordered was not edible because it had so much fat on it. I didnt want to say anything because I dont like to complain, but when she asked me if I needed a to go box for my leftovers I told her no and that it was all fat from the steak. She said sorry about that and gave us our check. It was a nearly $30 steak for crying out loud. I asked to speak to the manager or chef but nobody ever bothered to show up to our table.

Additionally, the booths and tables appeared recycled and the floor appeared dirty and unfinished. There was a missing tile in the bathroom ceiling, which made me uncomforatble when going to the bathroom. There is a corner office off the kitchen with a giant window. It appears disheveled and cluttered. They really need to put up blinds and keep them closed.

They might have won me over with the sweet mashed potato's and nitro martini. It was their lack of professionalism in handling my complaint that did them in with me. I expected so much better at those prices. I was not impressed and will never be back.

  4. ABoout 35 mins ago we passed a bunch of swirly dirty looking clouds between MArs Hill Road and 92. It looked like someone had a mixer up there swirling the clouds. Scary. From what I saw on the tv once I got to shelton elementary they think it was an actual tornado. I was really scared.

  5. My kids play in our cul de sac. Kind of hard to ride your bike in the grass.

I do hear you though about people letting their kids run wild with no supervision and never cleaning up. It's crazy. I see 4 and 5 year olds around here running around wild outside with NO parent in sight. I finally got fed up with it when two of my neighbors chewed my son out for all of the toys in the yard and culdesac. They did not realize that the toys were not his. We have several toys that look the same, but we clean ours up 90% of the time.

When my kids were that little I was outside with them. I would sit in a chair and read a book while they played or I would play with them. Now that they are little older I let them play outside as long as I can see them through a window or if I am within earshot. It's better than playing the PS3 all afternoon.

The new rule is when somthing gets left in my yard it goes into time out for 30 days before it reappears again. It applies to my kids as well.

  6. My answer is that if you feel a need to record your spouse you may already need to seek an attorneys advice anyway. Play it safe because things can get really ugly when people are backed into a corner.

  7. My Mom and I were talking about what the Bible says about Ghosts the other day and after going back and forth a while we decided that if the dead are "asleep in Christ" that the ghosts must be the insomniacs. :) That's why they make such a fuss. Their grumpy and tired and just can't seem to turn the world off long enough to get some shut eye.

  8. Yes. My house that I grew up in and that my parents still live in is haunted. We think by several "spirits" but cannot be sure. I have tons of pictures of "orbs" floating around Moms house. Lots of cool experiences too. We smell pipe smoke when nobody smokes a pipe except my dead grandpa. Doors close and open. Kitchen doors slam. Oh yeah, my son swears he see's a ghost cat every time we go back to Grammys.

Check out my myspace pictures. You have to click on the link that says photos and then you can go to the orb pics. I just started adding the photos yesterday, I still have tons more.

  9. The Bean Town Possie RULES! I saw them twice back in the day. Once in Albany and once on the Magic Summer Tour in ATL. They had a great show. They definatly knew who their fans were, hopefully they do now too! My favorite songs were Hangin Tough and Please Don't Go Girl. :) I will sooooo be going if they come here for the reunion. I may bring my daughter. I bet they still appeal to the tweenies. :)

  10. My Mom said she saw them many many years ago when they were youngens and said that the lead singer was really a showman. She said that his hair was soft and whispy and blew with the wind and he was all hunkered down on stage in some leather pants like he was actually "sittin on a mountain high". Funny.

  11. Yes this it what I always say. Ecspecially when people are suprised it happened in thier neck of the woods.
I don't think this is shock that it happened on this side of the county and not the other side. Not sure what that's about.

I think our reaction is that of dismay in the kind of world we live in. This is not somthing you want happening ANYWHERE, but it does. As I said before it serves as a reminder for all of us to reevaluate how we handle the potty breaks with our older children.

  12. I know, and I didn't mean to sound suspect of what you posted...I just so hope it's not true!

I knew what you meant. B) I really hope it isnt true as well. I did take the opportunity this morning though to talk to my son about being in the mens room alone. I think that once they get to be 11 years old or older we don't worry as much about them going to the bathroom alone. I know I have been lax in that department for sure and in the very least this has made me reevaluate how we handle this kind of thing. Once kids are in 5th grade we move to DARE and warning them against doing drugs when this threat is still very much a part of our society. We still focus on girls alot at that age, but the boys need to be reminded to be careful as well.

I called the SHERIFF'S OFFICE (SO) and spoke to Crimes Against Children -- They said they would look it up if I had a date this incident was suppose to of happenend -- Understand now!??!

I will try to call her and find out what date it was. As I said, she is someone I know from the ball field, not a close friend so it may take me a while to get her phone number.

  13. Last night at a baseball game an aqqaintance of mine told me that when she was at crossroads Kroger an incident happened where a boy around my sons age (11) was in the bathroom and a man touched him inappropriatly. When she asked the employee why all the police were there the employee said that they were not supposed to say anything about it, but then kind of told her that the boy had been touched in the bathroom...

I know how rumors get embellished, but I would like to know if there is any truth to this rumor? She said she was there when this happened and I beleive her, but she may have been given false information. Is this the same incident that was mentioned on the Paulding.com broadcast where they are looking for a black man with dredlocks? If it is true and the police do not have the person in custody I really beleive parents in this area should be aware of this threat.

Anyone know if this is true?

  14. I saw him too. He was there at aroun 815, gone by 845 and back again when I took my daughter to the ortodontist at 1045. He looked completely MORTIFIED! I was laughing a little (probably not very nice I suppose) and he gave me a big scowl. LOVE THAT! I wonder what he did....

When I was in school a kid in our class was always skipping school and so his mother came with him to school every day in hair curlers, a robe and bath slippers. She walked him to class every day for a week. That was great.

  15. I had our daughter spray tanned prior to a wedding recently and it was disastrous! It was raining when we left and I didnt realize it but several sprinkles landed on her arm. WELL, she ended up polka dotted. We were told to put her in a tub with baby oil. That didnt take it all off, but the hot tub with chlorine did the trick. I really don't reccomend it. Nothing wrong with beautiful pale skin. Tanning beds are even worse. My mother has skin cancer now because she couldnt stay out of them.
