  1. Nine years ago today this world lost a precious soul. I love you buddy......I'm still trying to fulfill the promise I made to you. I'm no closer today as I was that day and I'm so sorry I let you down. I will never give up. I love you buddy.....always and forever like we always promised.

    Rip Shad, I love you!

  2. I've gained so much weight I can't squeeze into my size 6 wedding dress. Davids Bridal won't let me exchange it. Its an ivory (but looks white), strapless tea length dress. I paid $349.99 but am willing to sell it for $100 just so its not a total loss. I don't how to post pictures here but if you are interested PM me and I can either text or email you a picture.

Any other suggestions on where I could take it to sell? Would like to take it to someone local so they could make a profit off it. I'm just sick to my stomach and want it gone so I can go buy a "bigger" one. Thanks!

  3. It don't seem like it has been that long. I know how you feel.

I knew your mom and her entire family just about my whole life. Me and your aunt Caroline are the same age and grew up together.

I will be thinking about you and Caroline today. And praying for your great uncle Buddy.

    Awe, Thanks!

  4. Was this a publisized murder?

Yes, it was shown on the local news, Georgia's Most Wanted and the Montel Williams show. You probably remember hearing about it. Shad and his cousin were both murdered, placed in the trunk of a car and the car was set on fire. They dropped the car on I-20 close to I-285. Because of the location, the case belongs to Atlanta Homicide. Until they can prove the murder took place in Paulding (which they do believe it did) the case will not be investigated here in Paulding.

    Thanks everyone for your prayers.

  5. Seven years ago tonight Shad was murdered. His case still remains unsolved. I've been playing this night over and over in my head all day today. I may never know what happened to him. Maybe it's too much for me to handle. Whatever the reason, God is protecting me from it. I still want to know. I won't rest until I do. Shad was a true blessing to me. I was lucky to have him for a brother although I wish we could have had more time together. He would have turned 28 last Saturday. He would probably be married by now and possibly have children. He did live his life to the fullest but was still cheated of his future. Please say a prayer tonight that his case will be solved. He deserves that. The first time I saw his body I promised him I would find out who was responsible for killing him. So far I haven't been able to keep that promise. That burns me up inside.

Rest in Peace my buddy! I love and miss you always and forever!

  6. I worked for Jim several years ago too. He was a great man. He would always send me to the store to purchase things I'd never heard of. I was only 18. I remember being so nervous that I would purchase the wrong thing. He wouldn't let me drive my own vehichle so I had to cruise around in his huge lincoln towncars. I'm sure I looked so funny. I will miss him and I know the ladies that still work for him will too. He was so much more than a boss. When you worked for him, you were family.

  7. I am so sorry! I was reading his story last week. I got hooked and ended up spending a whole day reading, crying and praying. I was deeply touched and admire this family for all their strength. I was so happy to read that he hugged her. Tears of joy were rolling down my face. I will continue to keep them all in my prayers. Although I didn't know them personally I'd still like to go to the funeral. Ashton touched many many hearts.

  8. All day Thursday & Friday and Saturday until noon.

I was unable to post this in the yard sale forum.

We have boys clothing up to size 5, lots of toys and movies among other stuff. Come check it out.

  9. I too am sorry for your loss. I lost my Mother to stomach cancer when I was 17. Since then 3 of my Grandmothers (one step), and my Grandfather all died from cancer. I know your pain. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

  10. When I moved in with my boyfriend I was OUTRAGED when I found out he had been paying $200 a month for his couch. He had been paying on it over a year and still owed almost $2500 on it. It was a piece of crap too! Needless to say, it went back to the rental place and we are using the "old" one until we can save up for a new one.

He was paying weekly and can you believe they actually came to our HOUSE on CHRISTMAS EVE wanting a payment that was only a few DAYS late!

  11. We've never had any problems in Paulding

Guess again. Our crimes are swept under the rug. Do some research and find out how many murders have occured in our county in the past 5-10 years. You'd be surprised at how many still aren't solved.

  12. I missed the news, any more information on this? I haven't heard anything from the family but we do have a family member with the same name as the victim. I hope it isn't him, I am trying to confirm that now. This will make 3 homicides in my family in the past 4 years, all in Paulding County. If they would arrest these murderers maybe our we could be safe in our county. It always gets swept under the rug.

Anyone heard anything about the school?

  13. hi my name is Jessica. I am new to paulding.com. I moved to paulding about 8 months ago and still haven't met many people. I have a 2 1/2 year old son and a 6 month old daughter. I am looking for other moms who might want to have playdates. I live on Braswell mountain not to far from Dallas.

Hi Jessica, welcome to our great county! I have a 2 1/2 yr old son and I'm in the same boat. PM me anytime, maybe we can get the children together. I'd love some adult conversation. I'm sure my son would love to play with someone his own age.

  14. I had to go to the courthouse to pick up some paperwork today. I had my sick child with me. I had to park 2 blocks away from the courthouse and walk in the cold with my sick child. I was so frustrated! There was even a woman (who I later found out was not a county employee or employee for the City Cafe) walking the parking lot instructing people not to park in the restaurant lot. I completely understand their business is affected by the parking situation as well. This is crazy. The new fountain is beautiful but what are they panning to do about parking? I'm sure most of us would rather have a parking space than a fountain we can't park close enough to see. Does anyone know what they plan to do about parking? That area is highly populated as people go in and out of the courthouse every day for many different reasons. It is not fair that there is not adequate parking. What about the ederly? Don't they have to pick up their handicap parking stickers there? How in the world are they able to get them if they have to park a mile down the street and walk.

Is there a plan in place for this problem?
