My daughters math teacher said she wasnt going to have us go out and buy the really expensive ones bc they have some in the class they can use we just bought an 8$ one that says scientific on it. I know its not the ones they use but its a calculater in our budget

ouch! That is pretty bad. Ours has worked out ok I guess. They split the furlough day over a certain period of time but it has cut our paychecks by about $50-$100 every 2 weeks. My dh is just happy to have a job and he loves his job so that makes it easier. I am no longer complaining about our supply list. We went to walmart to check my 2nd graders supplies to make sure we had enough and my mouth dropped when I looked at the list. It had an actual dry erase board and markers, highlighters, permanent pens, red pens, blue pens, sharpener, ruler, pencil box, binders, spirals...and a few othe

that has always been my issue. A lot of parents are in the same boat as teachers with furlugh days, we have been going through them for months and we lost 7 of our 10 holiday pays...but any way you spend a fortuen on the supplies only to find out thats not what they want. If your kids are like mine you cant take the supplies back bc they have already opened everything so they can neatly organize them in their bags/boxes/etc so you go buy additional supplies which the teacher wants and you are out a fortune. I only buy supplies after I talk/meet the teacher.

me too have to admit im a little surprised though how is this going to play out? chima leaving just seems to have made the double eviction confusing. Guess they arent going to do veto for that and natalie is safe and now new hoh puts 2 ppl up and then do they do a veto right away? So much drama im confused now. I will say this season started off pretty slow but it is def making up for it now

ok they did another hoh comp so Im guessing since chima left natalie is safe from that but it is a double eviction so this is step 2 to the double eviction. I just found out who won next hoh and there is a lot of fighting/drama but I am thrilled about next hoh. well if the picture isnt too large you can just click the upload button under the box you are typing message in. A lot of times it is too big a file. If that is the case you can go to photobucket and upload there and then they just give you a code to copy and you just paste it in your box you are typing your message........hope that made sense. lol. Im horrible on computers and explaining things.

oh im glad I posted then....no soap makes sense though. I always have old magazines and newspapers. I used to keep everything and put it aside for crafts with my kids but then at some point I realized I had about 10 huge coffee containers and I sent them to school for the art teacher thinking he could use them for paint/brushes/something. Not sure if he was able to use them but some things we dont really think about could probably be a great thing for the classrooms

lol, its sad this show occupies so much of my day that im on cloud 9 bc chima is gone wonder how this will effect double eviction this week? Also wonder who will go up with natalie? Also saw russell is throwing jeff and jordan under the bus so im thinking he should go first. Natalie is annoying but not such a strong player especially with her buddies gone. She has been glued up jessie and chimas butts for so long she is probably feeling like an outcast. cant wait for tomorrow!

Thats a really good idea. For most things I would think bulk would be cheaper but I do remember seeing a news story how some school system used a particular office supply store for their items and turned out they were paying more then public

In a couple of days my youngest baby will be 2 It just doesnt seem possible. This week it has hit me so hard especially with his siblings growing up fast too. I am still in shock I have a child starting hs and one in their last year of elementary. Its so sad but I am so proud at the kind of ppl they are turning into. Now we just need to decide if we go with the curious george, spiderman or scooby doo birthday We are just doing cake and Im hoping to have it at one of the parks so it should be really easy and really cheap.

Im hoping to get a box of kleenex for each childs teacher but It will probably be a little harder since my oldest has 6 or 7 classes....cant remember which Im also hoping to pick up so copy paper and germ x but after that I am broke!!!!! So I thought maybe there were additional things I could do that wont put my account in the negative. lol I saw at brooks salvage they had huge bottle of antibacterial soap very cheap...do the classes use the soap or just the germ x? I guess I need to run to kroger bc that is pretty cheap!

there is an antenna on our roof but dh couldnt get it to work I think we have an rca digital box. It was at walmart and it cost $10 plus tax so probably not top of the line we tried several different antennas with no luck so I think what ever we have is all we will get. I know there are cheap packages going around for tv but we really dont need an extra bill. We had comcast and were so unhappy with billing/service/etc so I wouldnt go back to them if they paid me $50 a month Satellite isnt too bad but hate to sign 2 yr contract....guess we will continue watching the way we are for now es

Im trying to come up with ways to help the teachers/classrooms out but Im on a limited budget. I noticed on all my childrens list there was dry erase markers and one even asked for an old sock to wipe dry erase. Well I was wondering if the dishcloths would work for that as well. If so I may try to make a bunch to donate to the classrooms. Here is a pic of the cloths. they are made from cotton so they are washable and very durable.
