The issue of the 21 trillion aside, I think we would all agree that the military is wasteful and poor at managing money.
My question is; why would we expect the same government to do any better managing single payer healthcare, Medicare for all, whatever you want to call it? -

I didn't vote for Trump in 2016 and I'm not sure I'll vote for him in 2020. I know for a fact I won't vote for the democrat socialist nominee.
That's why them always calling us "Trump lovers" just because we don't share their hate for him is so stupid. To them, it's either hate the guy or love the guy; there's no middle ground.
My intellect and sense of fairness is better than that.

Some of you will be surprised to learn that cptlo was an adamant Never Trumper. I was too, up until the general election, and then pragmatism won out because I knew that either Hillary or Trump was going to win, and Hillary would have been an epic disaster that would make Trump look like an angel.
The difference between people like us (cat dude and myself) and some of you here is that er judge Trump issue by issue, and fairly at that. He's done many good things, and some not so good. The tariffs are still looking iffy, he's made some poor staffing choices, he can't seem to shut up, etc. On the plus side, he's done some very good things. Tax cuts, SCOTUS picks, regulation rollback, his stance on illegal immigration, tough on national security, etc.
Many of you here have such a partisan hatred for t he guy that you can't possibly be fair in your judgement of him. In your eyes, he is the debil and does every single thing wrong. Well, that's just not true.
That's why I so often say we should all walk away from the partisan crap and make our own decisions.-

It's surprising what Republicans find acceptable. For instance chopping journalist into little pieces seems to be just fine. poisoning people on foreign soil gets their approval and murdering one's relatives in airports are just no big deal,
Still if you're going to sell this thing I'm not certain that bragging that Saudi Arabia and Turkey has one so we should have one too. Saudi Arabia has a curtain draped building they march around for a week you want one of those too ?

Regarding the lies....yeah, Trump lies. And both Clintons lie, and Obama lies, etc. The difference in the numbers count s mostly due to the type of lies and the level of scrutiny that is being used. For example: a lot of Trump's lies are his frequent exaggerations. Technically still lies, but Clintons and Obama did the same thing without the media keeping track of every little misspeak.
If we were comparing apples to apples; Obama would have at least as many lies on the tally as Trump does. No, I'm not approving of any of them, but I am calling you out on your double standard. I don't recall you taking issue with Obama's lies or Hillary's lies. Obama is still lying his butt off; he's out there on the "campaign trail" (campaigning for a legacy, it seems) taking credit for the booming economy.
Truth is...most of us on the conservative side (notice I didn't identify us as Republicans) have plenty of issues with Trump. But we know that most of them make him no worse than his predecessor or the Democratic nominee for president. Even if we wanted to criticize the man here, we'd have to stand in line behind you guys that hate his guts.

There are multiple reasons for recent stock market volatility, and Trump's policies are certainly a factor in that.
What some here with no financial savvy don't seem to realize is; lots of other factors also affect the market, including politics and the media. All the trash talk from the media and Democrats, and the change in House leadership are probably more to blame for Tuesday's crash than anything. Today's rebound is likely a correction for an over-reaction on Tuesday due to the negativity from the media and Democrats.

Even then, I gave him a chance to discuss it with me, but he didn't and he won't because he never planned on staying there. The difference between pcom and the "other site" is you are allowed to post your unending complaints and snarky remarks here without censorship. I on the other hand am proud to say I managed to get kicked off the "other site" in less than 24 hours
because the snowflakes couldn't handle an opposing point of view. You went there with the express intent of pissing the members off and then leaving; you told us so in one of your posts.
And you did it on Christmas day, which didn't set well with some folks, myself included. I was trying to spend time with my family, and having to respond to post reports because of you was interrupting that.
I didn't have to let you in; anyone joining there requires manual approval from a moderator, and I made the decision to give you a chance. And let's tell the rest of the story...I left you a message to email me if you were genuinely interested in contributing to the community, and we'd talk about it. Of course, you didn't email me, because you never had any intention of staying or doing anything BUT stirring up crap.
As one member of both forums put it; you've already killed this site, we don't want you to kill the other one as well. Discussion forums are for discussion. When you start a thread, you have already tried and convicted the subject of the thread, so there's no room left for any real discussion, and you aren't interested in hearing any other opinions anyway. Most people don't want to see that kind of hate and ugliness, except others who are equally filled with hate and ugliness. And that explains why you are allowed to stay at this site.
So, nice try, Cain, but you're busted. Up until just now, this site has had a grand total of one new post in 24 hours, and you are a major factor in reducing this once great forum to such pathetic levels. The other site has been active, even on Christmas Day. And we'd like it to stay that way.

Honestly, I don't have any more assurance of the outcome of this than you do. But if I had to guess, I don't think anything damming will come out on Trump. Nothing illegal, anyway. Both the Trump and Clinton camps had contact with Putin's people leading up to the election, but parts of that was just normal preparations since one of them would be our next president. People have tried to make something of those types of contact, when they were likely no big deal. Just kind of a "here's what to expect should I win" kind of stuff.
I do know that a couple of things have come out in the last few days that strongly suggest Hillary is under the microscope more than we have been led to believe.So I dunno for sure what's coming, but I have this feeling in my gut that there will be some surprises.
