  1. We used Nextel for years in the bit'ness. In the last couple of years the service actually got worse and the rates kept going up-up-up. We dumped them and went with Cingular (ATT) and never looked back.

  2. Don't buy an anti-virus program, the better ones are free.

    AVG Free http://filehippo.com/download_avg_antivirus/

    AntiVir http://www.free-av.com/

    Adware cleaners, also free

Also use this, free once again. Be advised, this will usually erase stored passwords so write them down.

And use Firefox as a browser, IE can be trouble.

  3. I turned 50 a couple of months ago. All in all, the last ten years have been great. I have a loving wife, a daughter I adore, a good business, lots of friends, a comfortable home, and God loves me.

I can't think of much more that really matters.

  4. Aside from Grainger (and maybe Fox), these places will not sell retail or direct to unlicensed individuals.

This is not a DYI project. The electronic ignition systems in modern furnaces are very proprietary and most of the parts should be gotten only from the equipment manufacturer. A generic control module can look identical but have different programming that affects gas purge times, lock out cycles, Rectification curves, etc. Special training is needed to safely service these systems, for the safety of you and your family I strongly recommend that you call a qualified technician. There is a reason this is a licensed trade.

I hold a Georgia unrestricted license so I know what I'm talkin about, I just don't want anyone to get hurt. :)

  5. It's true, but subject to approval from the FCC and FEC. The "monopoly" issue is a potential problem.

Both companies have lost money since their inceptions, the plan is too merge so they can cut overhead and become profitable. XM is the larger of the two with considerably higher revenues. Sirius is so far in the red, most market analysts say they will not survive unless they merge.

  6. And dollar bills folded!! Can't forget those!!! :DThe inside blower is blowing. The circuit breaker has been checked and is ok.The switch next to the unit is in the on position. The outside unit is not doing anything. It's about 10 years old. Any diagnosis? Cause I have no idea!!

-You'll have separate circuit breakers for the inside and outside units, be sure to check the one for the outside.

-You may have fuses in the service disconnect at the outside unit, one could be blown.

-The small control wire to the outdoor unit could be broken. critters like to chew on the wires so it's a fairly common problem. This wire is low voltage so it won't hurt you. Kinda looks like speaker wire.

-The contactor in the outside unit may be bad, this is very common. This is a magnetic switch that starts the fan and compressor when the thermostat calls for cool. You could also have a wire burned off the contactor or elsewhere in the outdoor unit.

And there's several other possibilities, but these are most common.

    Yep, I'm an A/C guy. :p

  7. Gunshots are part of a typical weekend where I live. Lots of woods around and most of teh homes are on acreage. Not violence, just people practicing their shooting.

Every now and then it's me doing the shooting. :p
