  2. I was diagnosed 30 years ago with Type 1 Diabetes. I use a pump. If your Doctor told you to take insulin to control your Diabetes you really should talk it over with him/her before going off of it.

  5. I have had a terible couple of weeks. It started with my husband leaving me and our daughter. The reason I have no idea. Next day our cell phones were shut off. Not good since I am Diabetic. Then found out that I have a nail in one of my tires, it is completly flat now, but I do have another vehicle to drive. I had to take my daughter to the ER and I didn't even have the money to buy her medicine and thanks to an Angel that God sent to me, she paid what I owed and told me to keep the change! Then I fell the other night and broke my laptop computer screen! I need to know if their is anyone on h
  6. Oh My Gosh for several years I took my daughter to Downtown Dallas Trick or Treating and never lived there! Do I need to return all the candy she got? Could you really look at a child and say "I'm sorry you don't live in this neighborhood, so NO you can't have any of my candy"? I couldn't!

  12. There is a woman at the off ramp of 285 @ Hwy 78 that sits on one of her legs to make it appear she is an amputee. I have seen her pushing her wheelchair then sit on her leg! She also switches amputated legs (she will be sitting on the right leg in the am and the left leg in the pm!) I guess she wouldn't won't to cut off the circulation and truelly become an amputee.
  13. My daughter is friends with Courtney. The family is in our prayers!
  14. My Moma passed away yesterday. She will be at Winkenhofer Funeral Home in Kennasaw. I will post arrangements when we make them later today.
  15. I thought it was a BRILLIANT Idea! So there probally have never been two disabled people living in the same household. Disabilities are not all visiable to the eye. Just look at the handicapped tag application for examples of this. How about when they get that ramp done they come to my house and do the same thing. I also need a pulley system installed to pull my mother up the walkway since I can't push her this far up hill. My husband can't always be here to get her from the car to into the house and I have had surgery on my shoulder and only have 30% use of one of my arms. Thanks for the sug
  16. ok. I respect yours and eveyone elses opinion also. Just curious how long have you and these people been neighbors? We have lived where we do for 5 years and haven't met some of the people around us. The people next to us,(a father and adult son) grass had growed up kinda high and instead of calling the marshal's and possibly making an enemy out of our next door neighbor, my husband went over and talked to the father. Come to find out he had to have open heart surgery and can't be out in the heat and the son works most days until dark to support them. Also their mower was in the shop. My husba
  17. Sometimes people have a good reason to park in their yard like maybe they have a family member or even theirself that are disabled and this is a health issue. My mother is in a wheelchair and YES I DO park in the front yard of our home. The same yard that we own and owe $0 on so it belongs to us and not any neighbor or anyone else. Try pushing a person in a wheelchair through grass or down steps to get to a concrete driveway and you will see the point of parking in the front yard. My yard is big enough for me to take care of without having to take care of everybody and there brother,s yard i
  18. It was on the 4th Thursday of each month. It's been a while since I've been to one. The Hubby has an appointment tomorrow with Glenda Summerville and I'll ask her. I really miss going to it!
  19. If there are any Boy or Girl Scout Troop Leaders on here that would like to take their troops to see the Shrine Circus please contact my husband Bruce Parks at 770-855-6569. Bruce is over group seating for The Paulding County Shrine Club. The forms need to be sent in before circus time to make sure all groups will have seats. Also if anyone wants to buy tickets to the circus at a discount please call him. Tickets from a Shriner are $7 each and will be $10 at the gate. He also has ride tickets for $10 a book. Thank you!

  24. Me and my daughter went to Walmart on Dallas Hwy. and saw more people with their buggies full of beer and other alcoholic drinks than bread and milk. The lady checking out behind us had at least 15 bottles of wine!
