Trust me, I know about names. My name is on the top 10 list of names NOT to name your son every year. But I doubt if it has had much impact on my career. Though it did have much impact growing up.

So what you are saying is thay if they had been white and she told the story the exact same way for the same exact set of facts (for some some reason I am picturing a couple of "Jersey Girls" in my mind), then you would have been just as incensed by her making these comments about a couple of white women while not giving specifics as to the racial make-up of the other 100 or so people in the court room?

I believe she was relaying the facts as they happened. I'm sure she would be happy to use "liberal license" if you like as it is her story. I'm also sure she pointed out the "nice car" and the hair and manicure part to contrast with them saying they could not afford an attorney while being more than able to obtain those items some how.

Cobb ADC uses a double fence. You drive through the outer gate and wait for it to close. Then the interior gate opens. That is so that at no point is there a free open access through the fence. I t will always be completely sealed by one ring or the other. Acworth used a garage. You pull in and they close the door. The prisoner is not taken from the vehicle until the door to the sally port is closed. If they fight, there is no where to go. Unless they decide to go in, but that is locked and remotely controled too.

I have been looking at new ATT phones. The new Blackberry Torch just came out today. The reviews are mixed. It seems to be an excellant phone but just does not match the iphones app capabilities. It seems to be a more sound phone with bluetooth. The iphones do not have that. Also there is a new issue with the droid. Somekind of virus like thing. Not real sure about it but I read a little today. I just don't know at this point. I love my BB Bold but wish I had some of the iphones features.

Nope. A bullet to the mouth/jawbone pretty much put the kabosh on that. My embouchure sucks now that one side of my lower lip is partially numb, not to mention all the surgery and the fact that there is a bullet under my tongue. Children... Never ever, try to catch a bullet in your mouth. I speak from experience.

Hey Bub... You play the trombone not the trumpet. Or did you switch sides when I wasn't looking. But he is right. Also, until you are sure that he will stay with it a rental or used would be a good start. Many who start band do not stay in it. Mom rented my basic trombone in the 6 th grade but bought my sister's clarinet flat out. She quit before high school and I stayed in it through out. She did buy me a new "f" attachment trombone after I got back from 9th grade band cam though.

I stand corrected it is the 1st not the 30th of Sep. I knew that. He is in Paulding. His 8th BD is today 3rd grade. 7 2nd grade, 6 1st grade, and 5 KG He made it by about 2.5 weeks. Glad you like the siggy. And I am now back at 24 again.

I meant more to the tune of there would have to been a history of retention for any reason. The schools policy does not allow for a child to be 18 at the start of 12th if they stayed within policy guidelines. Dis jr. will likely be one of those. His maturity level is really low and he started on time in the early class as his birthday is today (8/12). He just turned 8 in the 3rd grade making him one of the youngest before the Sep 1st cut off date. He will start 12th at 16, provided there is no retention, just as I did.

My daughter got the occasional spanking, but has pretty much gotten to where she doesn't need them any longer. Dis jr. is a whole different story. He has EARNED and recieved every kind of punishment imaginable. That boy just does not do "no". We take shifts as to who is doing the spanking / punishment. It does get tiring you know. We have even resorted to bringing in the grandparents just so we can get a little sleep.

If they start 12th at 18 there is a problem. Some would be 17 at the start of 12th. My daughter barely missed the cut off (Sep 01) for the prior school year. Her birthday is Oct. 04, making her one of the oldest possible, and she will be 17 when she starts. If her birthday was on or before Sep 30, she would have started 12th at 16. per GA law

If I wanted to I could by a home in Bent Water or Seven Hills and put it into section 8 status. Those folks would just love that.

Which school does your daughter attend? I do not believe a minor tried as a minor and convicted of a sex crime is going to be on the S.O.L.
