I don't know if you remember a discussion between us about ash trays in vehicles or not but we did. Basically I was of the impression they were still standard in all vehicles. To make a long story short, you stated I must be buying truck based vehicles. (True) Anyway, Guess what... I can now say without a doubt that they are not standard in the 2011 Tahoe. Now where am I going to put the lighter and extra keys?

Do you ALWAYS look on the ground( in a parking lot)
nschur replied to wenfen's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have done that too. I even found a dollar bill in the ocean while looking for my $300 Rx sunglasses. I do not think it was a fair trade though. As far as parking lots though, I look before I pull in and generally park as far as I can from the door. Not too much stuff out there to step in, most are too lazy to park out there anyway. -

This was news to me. I still see some legal issues should CC have been injured while doing what the PCSO stated.

I think having you act as back up was a big liability. Yes it is the right thing to do but in today's society it is a huge legal risk. What would you have done if the person came running out? Shoot / don't shoot? What about had he come out shooting? As was mentioned earlier, what if the PCSO back up got there and saw you standing there with a gun? Man... This just sounds like a good deed getting punished for all the wrong people. JMHO Sorry about the break in. Hope they didn't get anything.

It's code now. Along with having sprinklers in the garage if their is living space above. There also has to be one in every level of living space.

GM tend to be oval. Our old Eagle had a retangular one.

You would be suprised at the number of folks who just do not notice. You would also be surprised at the number of these things that "seem" to fail at 2 - 3 in the morning. And they do not know what to do about it either. That is why every fire truck in Cobb carries spare 9 V batteries. I would ask them if they had noticed it was beeping / chirping. Then offere them a 2 pack of batteries. Also remind them that you are supposed to change the batteries every time there is a time change. And there is one coming up. The battery is generally for a back up with the units drawing main power f

Go swear out a warrant for theft of services or by deception. They purposely took the labor with no intent to pay for it. I say it is a crime. At the least it will force the person who did it to go through the legal system and when they get to the judge, the money owed will likely be part of the court fines which would then be given to them. As I understand it. If they came to buy your car, and paid by check and then put a stop on the check, It WOULD be theft by deception. In this case we are talking about labor / sevices. A restraunt that provided you food and service under the same si

http://www.lexis-nexis.com/hottopics/gacode/ Link will not go but go here. OCGA Georgia 16-8-5. When I worked for Cobb PD, the sheriff's office was in charge of the bad check division. PD only got those powers that the chief LEO of the county (Sheriff) gave them. Bad checks, jail, Courthouse were not among them. They can go to the warrant office and swear out their own warrant. It is free. They need to make a written statement, present any substantiating evidence (statement from the bank that there IS a stop payment on the checks) and "swear" ( no not cuss silly ) in front of the judge. He will either issue the warrant or tell you why not. After that it is in the hands of the court. I

I went to McD's to get the kids some lunch. Son has gotten into the hamburger no mustard, no pickle and a piece of lettuce. Daughter wants nuggets. We have never taken suce with the nuggets. The lady working the drive through asked me which sauce and I said none. Ok. I go to pay move to 2nd window and while waiting for the food I realized they charged me .15 cent for the lettuce. When she brought the food I told her I changed my mind about the sauce and she gave it to me. I then told her that if they were going to charge me extra for a piece of lettuce when I let them keep the sauce, that I w

Then they should not make any improvement to it either right?

I never drive on it so it does not matter to me either way. But it seems as though the toll was to pay for the extension and other projects. Anyway the extension is finished and the toll was scheduled to go away in 2011. Got it. Now it seems as though the government wants to do more improvements to 400 paid for by the toll extension. It is unlikely that these improvements could be funded solely by the state in the current economic climate. So the questions remain. Are the improvement required and will those improvements help you as you drive on the toll road or it's northern section? As I said

Last year Dis jr. mailed his "wish list" to Santa. A few weeks later he got his letter from Santa saying that he was a good boy and a Santa Poem. They know about Santa at the Post Office and there is a not for profit that takes care of the letters for him. It was a real thrill to get the letter from "Santa at the North Pole" though.

Daughter almost 11 knows but still plays along. When asked about Santa, I just tell her that "I still believe in him". She does not ruin it for the 8 y/o. He believes and is quite happy to do so. They all figure it out about that age anyway. He will take a little longer though.

He / we are already in counseling and he is in a special class at school. He does take meds for the ADHD and ODD. Daughter and I are going fishing this morning. I had already bought them the rods / bait yesterday. So he can sit here and cool his jets while we do a little fishing as promised. She does tend to get the better of things. He was supposed to goe out on the wave runners too but would not get up. So he missed out. I am past argueing with him. Do what you are told and good things happen. Go against me and it won't be so great. I am the adult, you are the child... end of discussi

Ok you win, I WON'T DUCT TAPE him, I'll hold him and let sis do it. My daughter and I have a great time together. He is the party pooper. As long as everything is going the way he wants, things are great. Another fire fighter and his family were here earlier. His son and mine are about the same age and they had lots of fun. Didn't matter to jr. that sis was left out. Now it has gone the other way and he is having fits. I can't predict everything that would set him off. To get this upset about being the only boy at dinner?!? So What?

We are staying in a condo at the Gulf Dunes in Ft. Walton. West of Destin. My Lt. manages several units rentals there. It is very nice here. Surf has been high but weather is perfect. To be honest though, I am now ready to go home. Dis jr. has put the kabosh on the trip. Dis jr's antics are well known to most here. Anyway, we went to Harbor Town in Destin to eat dinner with my Lt. and his family. Well jr. starts having one of his spells. He is mad because he is "the only little boy" there. So he refuses to eat. Then starts smashing his food. I take it away and he goes and pouts at

We are at the beach and the kids were bugging me about playing with them in the surf. You know... boogie boarding and stuff. So it is a red flag day at the beach. I think they should just go ahead and change it to suicide board but the red flag is appropriate for the blood. Plenty of surf for the kidos, but not me. Oh noooo... I need bigger waves. So I venture out into the bigger surf. We have waves between 3 - 5 feet right now. So I get hammered, then again and again. Get some good rides in too but man is it harsh with the cross currents. Yep, I caught the big one too... had to stop at t
