  1. I can bring cake to the nrxt coffee. It wouldn't be the first time. I might even be able toscrounge up some thin mints for Madea.
  2. You don't have to... but you won't get any cake if you don't.
  3. It is a small price to pay (for me) for the priviledge of driving on decent roads.
  4. Got to love those tag fees. Anyway just a couple of thoughts. I still believe they need to charge the fees based on vehicle weight. Yes I drive heavy vehicles. Second, the lady that works there (is a friend of mine) confirmed what I suspected. Due to the new $35 prestige tag fee this year, many people are turning in their prestige tags and taking a new Georgia tag instead. That was a real smart move by our elected officials. Now they do not get the extra money AND they have to pay for a new tag to replace the old one. Yes I know, the cost is covered in the new fee, but I bet they were not an
  5. My bill was $18,000. Luckily the county picked it up because it was a line of duty / hazardous duty injury. But that was for the 2 teeth plus rebuilding my jawbone from the shooting.
  6. It is only a matter of about 6" GW. The DKBs could easily make you adjust by that much. But until then... See that bright orange hose? Do not step on it. It could really be bad for you. Kaplaw!!
  7. Apparantly what they are calling a "foot print" is what they can see in regards to my home. Response time, upload / download times, line noise stuff like that.
  8. CRACK IS, WHACK.... Heyyy... owwww.... that hurt.
  9. Wow!!! it only took 55 days too.
  10. I'm just waiting to see what a hammer to the front teeth will do... DKB
  11. I believe so. Link to some pictures. Use discretion while viewing.
  12. Crack looks whitish yellow. It is basically the solidifed surface "scum" from boiling cocaine. It goes to the surface and makes a layer about 1/4" thick and as big as the pot. They let it harden into a sheet and then break it up into chunks roughly cube shaped. It is not quite as hard as hard candy but you get the picture. Meth, I would have to look up, I do not recall ever busting anyone for meth. But if memory serves it is a clear to whitish powder.
  13. I will stop and render aid whenever it is needed and my family will not be endangered. I do not get paid for it. I do it because I would want someone else to help me or my family if the need was there. I assisted on 1 fire in my neighborhood at 5 in the morning. I pulled a guy out of his burning house on old cartersville at 3 in the afternoon. I stopped this last summer and helped an elderly couple after a car wreck in front of Stars and Strikes. I put him in my truck with AC after he pased out and helped her along with others until we got her into an ambulance using my county jacket for shade
  14. Been there done that already. Fri. internet went real slow. 2kb/sec slow. Called ATT. This ain't my first rodeo with this. I checked lines. Deleted net garbage. Restarted modem. Restarted modem then router. Restarted computer, modem and router. Took out the router and went directly to modem. ATT "good, lets try different cable". Yup done that too. "try moving to new outlet." Ok. No joy. ATT "must be a bad modem." Ok send me a new one. ATT "it will be there Wed". Nope, I'll go get one from WM. Install new modem. No good. Call them back. "you must have a virus" Nope. AV is loaded and up to date.
  15. And I agree with that. It is a shame though that someone would put another into that position over $75. Thankfully here we do not do that. We even go across couny lines to help each other. i personally have helped on 2 fires in Paulding while off duty.
  16. It is not that simple. The fire dept is not like Chicago gangsters. They do not make you pay for the "insurance". They do tell you the consequences of not enrolling. They do not then come to your home and light it up like the gangsters would. Like it was posted earlier, it is a lot like car insurance. You get it but hope you never need it. If after 5 years you drop collision, then have an at fault accident, would you then be mad at the insurance company for not repairing your vehicle. Do a little research on this topic. It is quite common and usually is implemmented where the local GOVERNMENT
  17. I lost 2 teeth to a gunshot wound in 94. I have implants for those. Have had no real problems with them. A maxofacial surgeon repaired my jaw and set the posts. Another Dr. handled the implants themselves.
  18. I personally think it has to do with the 4 vs. 8 cyl. programming. I have searched the internet but can not really find anything. It appears to be a SOP with these. I just can not believe that this has not really become a widespread knowledge issue. And it has apparently been since 2007. The LT. on tomorrow has a 2007 and says his does the same thing.
  19. Whew!!! I saw Bradenton and thought my cousin had been caught yet again. but it wasn't him.
  20. Since this was my topic I'll take the liberty of changing the topic for the moment. I just got to drive the vehicle for the first time the other day. I noticed an issue with the throttle. Has anyone else experienced or heard of issues with the throttle response on these new LH6 DOD 5.3L engines? The best way I can describe it is like the old "carbuerator stumble". You give it a little gas and it seems like it wants to "think about it" before it goes. You can give it more than you want / need to improve response but you have to back off real quick or you will really be going. Ours is in the sho
  21. Might I ask, if it took hours to get to his home while he watched then where was his and his neighbors water hose. I have seen grass fires start apartment, home, car and outbuilding fires. But short of the huge wildland fires outwest, I know of none that someone watched for hours before it got to their home.
  22. Not to argue, as your stance does have merit, but should everyone take the attitude that "I'll just pay the extra if I need it" then there would be no money at all to fund the department and staff. That is untill someone has to pay the big bucks, if they actually do pay after something like this happens. This is a truly harsh lesson to learn but hopefully others will take note of it for the future.
