  1. I like the property resorts. Moderate - Port Orleans Riverside in the Alligator Bayou section. Deluxe - Wildernes Lodge Monorail - Polynesian I have also stayed at Coronado Springs Carribean Beach Fort Wilderness Campground
  2. And the "other guy" said thank you for pointing out the misunderstanding. And read about how things work for future knowledge. And would also like to point out that I do not believe "TARP", stimulus nor any of the other weird spending that is currently going on was addressed nearly 25 years ago in government class. So I find your condscention in poor taste. But hey what else is new?
  3. You are the one that said the President, whether it be Neil Boortz, Perez Hilton or Joy Beher, made the budget. I merely took your comment and expanded it. And that would be the first time that I even came close to blaming PIBO for it. Your own political agenda has blinded you. Pot... Meet Kettle. But I do appreciate the clarification. I was not quite clear on the process and at your prompting, I learned something new today. Thanks.
  4. Oh... Ok then. I can now start blaming PIBO for that and not congress. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Federal budget process President's budget request
  5. No I said they were misaligned. The huge deficit of $1.7 trillion belongs to the 2010 budget not the 2009. That would put it under PIBO's watch passed under a Dem congress not Bush's but also with a Democratic Congress in his las 2 years. But again, for like the forth time this month, Congress makes the budget not the President. That does not mean that the President needs to just rubber stamp it when it comes across his desk. The Executive branch is to act as a check to the administrative branch and vice versa. We are currently acting without any kind of checks and balance between those 2 bran
  6. edited for accuracy Deficits for fiscal year 2010 $1.171 trillion 2009 $407 billion 2008 $239 billion 2007 $244.2 billion 2006 $248.2 billion mrnn you are correct. The 2009 budget was made by the Dem. congress under Bush and approved by him. For some reason the first set of data that I posted was misaligned. PIBO's first year budget (2010) was the largest deficit ever to date. So no. that huge deficit does not belong to Bush for 2009 but the 2009 budget was his.
  7. You need to also remember that after his first two years, your buddy Clinton had to deal with a GOP controled House and Senate. The House being the most important because all spending legislation originates there. And yes the GOP did eventially succumb to that very same spending mentality that is so pervasive within the Democratic party. I will again say it... I do not so much blame PIBO for the spending in the last 2 years as I do his party. I will complain about him rubber stamping all the spending legislation that the DEMs in the House have put forward though. There are many people on this
  8. It is not the interstate. That rule does not apply there. But I do totaly agree with getting stuck behind 2 trucks going the same speed. Yes even if they are both doing the speed limit. They should be following each other leaving the other lane open to be passed. Even if you have to "speed" to get by. Chances are they will have a harder time going up a hill or starting from a red light. My driving pet peeve is basically courtesy and driving like you basically have a clue about what is going on around you. Driving is serious business and should be treated as such. Many accidents and near accide
  9. I'm a little distracted at the momment mrnn. That $1.4 trillion budget was Bush's? I do not think so. PIBO took office in 2008 and had to deal with Bush's $459 billion budget that year but the 2009 was done by his congress under his direction and with his approval. Was it not?
  10. My wife and I had been using condoms after my daughter was born as we (or so I thought)did not want another child yet. We decided to go to the pill. Well after 3 months on the pill DW decided she did not want to go another month on the pill. She failed to advise me of this change of status. So even though we still had quite a number and selection of condoms available in my nightstand she elected not to say anything to me. Dis jr. is the result of that ONE (did I say 1 !!??!!) connection on the very first month she was no longer on the pill. Someone in my house was pretty upset about this!
  11. Might I ask why you were so foggy?
  12. Aww heck... let me help you out with this whole control thing... Control of congress As you can easily see the GOP has had a SIMPLE MAJORITY in both houses AND the Presidency for only 10 years of the ohhhh... last 65 years. The Dems have had it for 22 years. Oh yeah it is all the fault of the GOP.
  13. Might I direct your attention to the year 2006 to year 2007 comparison? Now what was it you were saying here in the bolded section?
  14. Deficits 2006 $248 Bil 2007 $161 Bil 2008 $459 Bil 2009 $1.41 Tril 2010 $ 1.29 Tril I think that means they brought it down by what? $120 Bil. I get a little confused when trying to deal with numbers this large in my head. yee haww... That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy that they managed to bring it down by an amount less than the smallest defict listed here under Bush. So that means they cut the deficit amount by 8.5% yeah... Too bad they increased the worst Bush did by 300%. Got another arguement you would like to use to defend the current administration
  15. So the current administration increases the annual deficit amount, in 1 year, by more than what the other administration did in 8 years by 2 to 1. And now you are saying that at least they are spending less this year than last. Well I guess GW and crew could easily have done the samer and made the same claim by even bigger margins.
  16. You have to remember that the occupant of the vehicle is traveling at the same speed, initially, as the vehicle itself. They are seperate but the laws of physics apply equally to both.
  17. The wife is mad cause she can't go. I just say, we'll have enough fun to cover your part too. She didn't seem very amused. You guys have fun without me today. Remember, it is not polite to talk badly of people behind their back. So please wait till I get back to begin insulting me again.
  18. If that is the case I would say that the reduction saved you from an increase.
  19. Delta V is the true killer. You can walk away from a really bad wreck with no outward signs of trauma, but if the D V was high enough you could have torn your Aorta from your heart and bleed out in short order. As we say in the FD "it isn't the fall that kills you, it is the sudden stop at the end that really F's you up"
  20. Recent budgets haven't covered rising costs for those missions, especially peacekeeping, says George Abrahams of State's Bureau of International Organization Affairs. The United Nations has 17 peacekeeping missions, including a new one in Sudan's Darfur region, he says, and the United States pays 25% of costs. In 2007, the U.S. bill was $1.6 billion; it's likely to hit $2 billion in 2009. WHY??? Do we get credit for our men, machines and supplies both military and civilian. Something tells me we don't. Are there only 4 countries in the UN? If not why are we paying 25% of the cost. The UN c
  21. Poor guy? absolutely! Poor dog? As far as Mia is concerned she just had a VERY good nap. It really is a bad thing to happen though. As bad as it hurt me to put mine down, i could not imagine doing it to her again.
  22. Going to the airshow Friday. Perk of working for Cobb DPS. They invited us for the Dress Rehersal. Small crowds, same show!!!
  23. I'm lost. Why do we owe them money? What about all the "police work" and enforcement we provide? They do not pay us for that. So Why do we owe them money. Maybe it is time to get the hello out of the UN. I never thought I would actually say that.
  24. I would never write a speeding citation for less than 15 mph over. 10 is required for Radar but over 15 is "points" on a license. If I was going to risk having to go to court on my off time, then it was going to cost the person points. Anything between 11 and 15 over had no points but a fine would be asessed. I hope that makes sense. So in a 45 I started writing at 61. 55 would be 71 an so forth.
  25. As a side note for the renters. I would have a form stating that absolutely no insurance is provided for their belongings. Further that you have explained the ramifications of them not having "renter insurance". (Spelled out in the form) and have them sign & date it while having it witnessed by another person, maybe a notary. That is just to protect you. Everytime an apartment fire occurs they all say they didn't know and want the owners to pay for their stuff. I believe it is now required for them to sign the acknowledgement form in Cobb.
