Woman who questioned Obama’s handling of economy at town hall is laid off I think she summed things up very nicely in her comment/question. Back in September, at a town hall meeting broadcast nationally by CNBC, Velma Hart became the face of Americans anxious for their future. Hart stood before the microphone and gave President Obama a dressing-down about the state of the economy. "I am a chief financial officer for a veterans service organization, AmVets here in Washington. I'm also a mother, I'm a wife, I'm an American veteran, and I'm one of your middle-class Americans," Hart
  2. I don't know Highly likely Not very likely What's a mandible?
  3. Call me skeptical. I just think the odds are way too high. But I could be wrong. So you might want to add a couple more choices to the poll.
  4. I think Im going to take the kidos on a bike ride there today... and we are going to do some Serious swerving all over the trail. But we will stop at all intersections.
  5. I can spell LTD, but I still keep wanting to through that extra "p" in striper. Striper or stripper there IB?
  6. Yep, I remember that too. We had to watch a video about it during fire training. Since we are comparing great explosions , How about the Port of Chicago explosion? Port Chicago explosion I learned about that one a few years ago on the history channel. This kind of stuff just boggles the mind.
  7. Making threats now are we. So what are you planning to do? Sue me, Stalk me to death, Pray for my untimely demise, Send your Goonies after me or what? Why should I back away from any of my statements? Because YOU say so?!? Don't make me laugh!! You are so full of YOURSELF it is not even close to funny. And just for the record, I do not intimidate easily and am quite capable of defending myself, both physically and especialy in a mental debate where my opponent (that would be you) Comes unarmed. And of course they are regards to Israel. That is what I quoted. DUH!!! But I did dis
  8. All I can say here is WOW!! The Halifax Explosion occurred on Thursday, December 6, 1917, when the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, was devastated by the huge detonation of the SS Mont-Blanc, a French cargo ship, fully loaded with wartime explosives, which accidentally collided with the Norwegian SS Imo in "The Narrows" section of the Halifax Harbour. About 2,000 people were killed by debris, fires, or collapsed buildings and it is estimated that over 9,000 people were injured.[2] This is still the world's largest man-made accidental explosion. 9. I spent years in retail sales. I always hated Fri. & Sat. nights. As a big box retailer (Richway, Gold Circle, Target and Wal-mart) we always had to man the front check outs when there was a cashier shortage. So While working my way through college full time there, I naturally worked lots of nights and weekends. It happens that many of the cashiers hired to cover those slots were teenage females. These females never seemed to mind calling in sick on those nights because "something more interesting to do" came up. That just meant that the sales floor personell covered the slack on the front
  10. I saw a Puckett ambulance posting at the church on 92 near Williams Lake Rd. a few weeks ago.
  11. Not true. Have you forgotten God's comandment in regards to the Isrealites going into Isreal? In Abram’s time God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah because of the evil that they did (A lesson to Canaan that they did not heed). But God’s judgment on the rest of Canaan was delayed because, in His mercy, God considered that their quota of evil was not yet complete. Ge 15:16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full. When Israel (the descendants of Abram) entered the land of Canaan they were told. Deute
  12. I know one of the first big rules of driving is always yield to pedestrians and bikers are technically pedestrians. I also know that vehicle traffic on Seaboard behind HD in Hiram has stop signs. But the Pedestians are also required to stop there as well. So here I am at the stop sign with no one around. I start to go and this biker comes FLYING across the intersection. I mean he was doing 15 to 25 mph. Fast for a bike. No stop no nothing! So I had to go from accellerating from a stop to back on the brakes and only had a split second and like 3 feet to stop. I just wish I had the addition reac
  13. Admiral Hyman G. Rickover, founder of the US modern nuclear submarine fleet, has investigated that. The determination is that it was likely a coal explosion. There are NUMEROUS examples of that which can be cited all the way up to WWI. Most of them within the British navy. HMS Vanguard An interest side note here. The next HMS Vanguard was finished at the end of WWII, but did not participate, was the LAST Battleship ever built by any navy. Anyway, while "Remember the Maine!" was a very effective battlecry, it was none the less, unfounded. edited to add Sorry, the Vanguard was a Cordite
  14. I think that the Revolutionary war would make an interesting debate. There was the vassal overthrowing the legitimate ruler but the ruler was not responsive to the needs of the vassal. both of which would be justifiable reasons for war with each other. The First Gulf war was in defense of Kuwait and was signed off on by a vast majority of those in the UN. Iraq's motives were wholely self serving and unjust. The seconf Gulf War was merely an extension of the first as far as Iraq's obligations under the peace accord while the WMD justification was and still is a matter of debate. While
  15. I'm not so sure about a "just" war. WWII would probably come closer than most. Most combatants in that war were on the side of the allies while Germany, Japan, Italy and Hungary / Romania were the Axis. Side note here, Spain itself almost went to war on the Axis side. The Axis powers were motivated to join together as a mater of convenience or persuaded by another through political power. Their motives were mostly self serving and were not to promote any form of true biblical justification. While Germany did have tremendous success with "persuading" the citizens that they were fight the "just"
  16. With KID gloves!! Sorry but I couldn't resist.
  17. Most plumbers work with gas piping and such.
  18. Should we ask what experience(s) you've had that qualifies you to make that statement?
  19. Now I see what is going on... Looked at your ticker 2 of her buds are now pregnant.
  20. This is my first and only. I married late. I had the priveledge of spending a few years with several young women along the way. I would say I learned a lot about what I did / didn't want / like from each of them. I hope they feel the same. I married my wife when I was 29 and she was 20. There is a rather large gap there but you could say I just had to wait because the right lady for me was just born a little later than average. We have been married for 15 years last Sep. We have 2 kids and she wants another one. Honey you do realize that we will be seeing grand kids in about 10 years right
  21. I will look for any kind of alert. A USB will not help me in the field at all. It may help in the hospital though. Our protocols are there for a reason and we follow them. If you are diabetic and do not have an alert ID and I follow protocols, I will find out pretty quick that you have low blood sugar levels. And I will treat accordingly. Drug allergies are a bit different. I may need to know about it, but it likely will not affect things in the field. Aspirin, Morphine are 2 that people have allergies to that we do administer in the field. On a side note, more and more of our protocols involv
  22. WOOT!! I'm already all over this!
  23. Do not let it off the chain. By doing that you will be responsible for any and all harm to the dog or others. Best to call the Marshals office and file a complaint. Better yet talk to the owners.
