that is the whole part that gets me. They will pay higher costs for goods. They will pay higher costs for their own transportation. They will pay higher costs for energy. I do not know about you guys but I can see the difference that higher fuel costs have done to my budget. Are all liberals independantly wealthy or what? Either that or they will be complaining about the need for pay raises, increase in minimum wage and the evil rich business just raking in more profits from higher priced goods.

I would seriously look at trading the F-150 reg cab for a crew cab. that gives the interior room plus the flexibility (especially if you put a cap on the back) to carry the fur babies in the back as well as other items. Plus you would not have the extra insurance payment to maintain yet another truck. But I see nothing wrong with the Excursion especially since it would not be every day transportation. We had an extra vehicle (96 Eagle Vision) as well untill my wife totaled it. I loved driving that car. Large enough for the family sporty enough for fun. Now all we have is my 04 ext. cab Sierra

Spoken like someone who loves to pay higher prices. And Ethanol was such a wonderful alternative. You people amaze me. Find another alternative. Yep at the drop of a dime. Look at mankinds journey since Christ's birth. 1900 years of VERY slow advancement. Then look from the year 1900 until now. We have grown in leaps and bounds. There is NO comparison between what we have accomplished in the last 100 years as compared to the prior 1900 years. There will / needs to be a lul as we play catch up with all the rammifications of what we have accomplished. You folks are placing all your hopes in

Just though I would throw this out there for consideration. This was Georgia's first White Christmas since 1882. http://wattsupwiththat.com/2010/12/26/first-white-christmas-in-atlanta-since-1882-ncdc-gets-new-snow-record-in-their-own-backyard/

Forget Sweetwater, How about Hendrix? That road ices up in no time flat and I have to travel it to get home.

To the best of my knowledge, no. We use the OnSpot chain system. When we engage the system it lowers the chain hub, which has about 6 chain strips attached. The outer hub hits the tire which makes it spin and throw the strips under the tires. We have stopped using the chains that wrap the tires. Here you go... http://www.tirechainsupply.com/tire-chain-laws.html Trilleck off Pine Mt. Rd.

We just got back from checking a house that someone ran into with their car. No injuries no major damage. But here we are in the fire truck going down the road with our snow chains deployed plus hazards on and we have local yahoos tailgating the fire truck. Well at least I do not have to drive into work tomorrow. I think I'll just get back in my bunk after shift change.

And why are they not doing anything to adress the more pressing and obviously manmade problem of pollution. They want to do this "global warming" thing while ignoring the obvious issues with our lands and water ways. Why is that. Oh yeah, because it is hard to get that kind of money from the many little people who throw litter out. And it is cheaper to address that situation plus it does not allow for the massive transfer of wealth from the US to other "more deserving" countries.

If you are squimish about discussing washroom goings on, then NOW is your chance to leave. For those of you still reading, I had to post this as it was so bewildering to me. I went into the washroom to take care of a little minor business. While observing proper ettquette, I walked in and chose the only urinal left. Other than noticing the fact that there was another young male next to me there was nothing else to take note of. I handled my business and began to prepare to leave. Now at this point i am compelled to pass on the following observations. I never saw the guy walk int

I saw the HUGE full moon coming up at about 1700 hrs. It was still very light out and it was quite low on the horizon. all I could think was... WOW!!! But both the Engine and Rescue stayed in the station all night long. The Engine never got a call all day either. It was a truly rare day.

I have seen, worked and heard of these terrible accidents. There is always an increase in a responders personal emotions on calls that involve children. Most of the time they work out well, sometimes you just want to go back in service and then go home. My worst was doing CPR, all the way to the hospital standing up in the back of an ambulance, on a new born that was accidentally smothered in the mother's bed. Some of my friends ran this call. My prayers are with the family and especially with the father. I hope he gets counseling to help him realize that terrible accidents happen to good peo

Not even the first ounce of pity here. Lots of laughing though. My wife even came out the front door to see what happened. Upon seeing me picking myself up and gathering my belongings, including my pillow (which is like a one of a kind that I can not find a replacement for). Which reminds me... If I could have just managed to get it under my butt, but there is that whole wishing thing again. Anyway wife say's "what happened?" You're kidding me, right? "Why didn't you go down the garage stairs and then out?" Oh because I thought going down the front steps would be safer as I would not have to

Well, It's like this. Yesterday when everyone else is trying to just get home, I'm already thinking about getting to work at the fire station tomorrow. I figure that since the temperatures are going down before I have to be there at 0700, I might just want to go to work early while things are still drivable. Good plan, poor execution. It started out with a bang, then a thud followed shortly thereafter by a whack and a groan. I went out the front door, got to the steps and assessed the situation. Hmmm... seems there is a good bit of ice on the already at 6:30 PM. I should be fine, I'll just ho

That is your Warn status as far as behavior on the board. Bullets are bad, Mayberries are good. If you get too many bullets, you get sent to the penalty box. You get them for breaking the rules or being mean. You can earn a Mayberry by doing good deeds and being helpful in general. (HELLO Mods... Are you reading this? ) You can save the Mayberries to counter a bullet. They do not do anything else for you though. There are no prizes. Bullets and Mayberries are handed out by the board moderators. LIKE THE ONES READING THIS. HELLO I know... I'm a shameless "suck up". And you have 4 Mayberrie

I had family who lived in Dekalb for years. My cousin graduated from South West Dekalb. They moved out in the late 80's. It was a terrible place to live according to them. But it was nice when they moved in. They moved into Sprayberry's school District after that.

I only have 1 small disagreement LTD. Hiring for Christmas has already happened about 1 - 2 months ago. There will be layoffs in another month after the return season.

From Forbes "We're seeing one of the lowest mobility rates in a century," says Nathaniel Karp, chief economist for banking firm BBVA Compass. Karp says the recession has forced many people to stay put because they are unable to sell their homes, cannot find jobs or are unwilling to relocate for work if it means sacrificing a partner's stable position. The slowdown makes the question of who's moving and why even more significant than in years past. Using 2010 projections by Moody's Economy.com, Forbes ranked the states in which people are leaving faster than they are arriving. Economist

Just got the phone call on our Health Insurance
nschur replied to Cathyhelms's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Ours went up about $20 / month on the employee. Roughly 10%. If the employer covered a similar increase then it went up about $1,700 per year total or about $150 / month. I'll have to wait and see the first check stub to confirm that. And they added a tobacco use penalty. Edited for math error -
Hey now Vader... Don't you be chasing the bad guys into my subdivison. I just got a new bike not long ago to replace the stolen one. And someone took my blower on Friday, but that was at the Home Depot
