Yup... just rosey. All of us at Cobb got a whole week of furlough days THIS YEAR. Nope that did not hurt at all. That was a straight 2% pay CUT on top of increases in HC costs and pension contributions. no raise over the past 4 years with the added increases in our benefit contributions. Add in the extra $2/gal gasoline since PIBO took over and the outrageous increases in my grocery costs. Wife has been out of work for over 6 months. Yep we are making progress all right. Right on out of our home and onto the streets. I'll give you your recovery... But I have to wonder just how many of us

This is what I did. I took a retractable key chain and hooked it to her purse. See lower left side. I then attached a 2nd key fob on the keyring. There will always be a key fob in the purse ready to go. Should she try to leave it outside the purse the spring will snatch it back in. See 2nd picture. I will also hide the 3rd key somewhere on the truck. Purse0.bmpPurse1.bmp

Apparantly HD and WM can not make even an unlock only key for these keys. They do not stock the blanks for the new ones. As far as an unlock only goes, the first time she needed it, it would be there. From then on it would likely still be in her console locked inside as well. I'm working on a new idea. I'll post pics later.

I used the one by TGIF and Jim & Nick's. Wonderful staff. I highly recommend them.

I carry this on my Bunker gear. I use it for the radio mike. Those things always fall off your straps and it is hard to hold it to your ear without removing it. This chain extends about 36" and when I let go of the mike it always goes back to the same place without me having to clip it. I'm thinking about getting one and installing it in her purse.

It'd far cheaper to just pay for Onstar. But on the other hand....

We have a very small air bag on the equipment now. Push it into the door pump it up, insrt rod and press button. The best thing since sliced bread. But it can mess up the weather stripping and cause paint scratches.

DW and I have been married for 16 years now. She averages about 2 - 3 "lock outs" each year. That is a lot of lock outs. I have always kept spare keys in various locations. As soon as I get a vehicle I buy 2 - 3 extra keys. 1 entire spare set of keys for our house. 1 entire set at my Dad's house about 6 miles from us. And sometimes a trip set. I see no need in taking all my keys on vacation so I keep just 1 house, 1 car and 1 luggage carrier key with the key fob (that I do not carry). We take her SUV on trips and I do not carry that fob around in my pocket on a daily basis anyway. So we had

Fried green tomatos Kathrine Bates to the 2 young women that swooped in and stole her parking spot then told her " face it, we're younger and faster" and just after she smashed their little car.

It was the highlighted comment, not your views on healthcare which are sicialistic as well. But that is not what I responded to.

I wouldn't have to if it weren't for the free loaders that make me and my HCP pay $5+ for a Tylenol just to cover the costs of their service that they do not pay for.

Ohhh.... now I get it! Our system is really in the crapper. The reason it is in the crapper is that the insurance companies have taken total advantage of the Medicare system. And those that are on medicare represent the single largest cost group of all insurance groups. Medicare IS a government run system. And NOW you want to turn all of our healthcare over to the government to run the same way that they have run the afore mentioned Medicare system. Yes!!! That makes perfect sense now! Let the government run the segament of our healthcare system that is actually somewhat holding it's own. :wa

And what fool bean counter would recommend to their mega comp. supervisors that it is better to pay $17,000 for the current plan, that actually works, when they can dump all their employees into the government plan, that WILL SUCK, for $11,000. Is that not the number being thrown around for each employee just to dump them and be done with it?

But... But... the poor can't afford healthcare (even though they get free care at the ER) plus have multiple finiancial assistance plans already, that care costs me / my insurance company more money, which means we will no longer be able to afford it right? So the government (that rarely runs any program effeciently) must step in to save all of us with their view of efficency right? How are they going to do this? They will give free low cost HC to the same people that caused the problem by making my rates go up and making it harder for me to get care while taxing the taxpayers ( which probably

I am very greatful for his service and his sacrifice. But just because of that does not mean we wave the laws of our society (that he fought and sacrificed for) just to honor his service. there are many other ways to honor him without doing that. And by extension you are saying that because of his service he has the right to trespass on your property any time he wants. Throw Wild parties until the wee hours of the morning 7 days a week. To keep 20 roosters in a 10 X 10 penright next to the property line of YOUR property or any one of a myriad of other civil code violations just because he serv

Obesity rates are also far lower, while daily exercise and activity levels are much higher. I believe their diet is far superior (without government mandates). So, yeah, I'd be willing to say they are healthier. I'd be willing to say they spend less on healthcare (they do not have near as many patients with "chronic" health issues as we do. Their system just does not have to cover the costs that ours does. Nor do they have to spend 20% on their military. If we took that extra 16% of our budget and applied it to a national healthcare plan, I'd bet we would have a great system as well, where we

So you do not think that since there is an absolute cap on what benefits SS will pay and that the same benefit can be earned while paying in much less than the amount yielded by that paid on $93,000 that is fair to assess this tax to only that limit? Gee Pubster, that's kinda like saying "I'll charge you $8 to see the movie since you make $30,000 / yr and I'm gonna charge you $8,000 to see the same movie at the same time at the same theater seated right next to the other guy just because you make $1,000,000". Yep Pubster, that is just about as fair as fair gets.

My dad and I bid on one across from his house several years ago. It was down to us and another bidder. We decided to not go further. A bit later the auction company called us aside and said that the winner's bid was below the bank limit of XXXX. They did not wish to pay the difference and were unwilling to up their bid. We were offered the chance to up our bid. We declined. I assume that this was not an absolute auction. We have also bid and won on property at the Cobb courthouse steps. That is a whole different ballgame. My suggestions are as follows. Get an agent. see if you can view the hom

Yep, I forgot the part about deducting purchase price from the sales price. but other than that, the numbers present a good idea of how it works. So in my example had they paid $100k for the house then they would not have any capital gains liability as far as the HC bill goes. And my example assumes that a new home was purchased. That amount is automatically deducted from the CG amount no matter what. I agree with you assessment of the potential problems as well. I do not like this bill 1 bit. It is just another way of providing free services for a select group in order to obtain their

Here is a link to the bill. Use the 2nd line as reported. The first link gives an outline but is not 100% in order. The 2nd is the PDF and is the full text. Have fun finding anything that way! It might be helpful if I actually posted said link... http://thomas.loc.go...z?c111:H.R.3200: The part after the slashes is thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.3200:
