  1. The real airmen? Heck that would be a great history event for adults too!
  2. Interesting. We've long since moved, but I'd love to know if my panel in our first home was this brand. When we lived there, my son attempted to remove a nightlight from the wall with a kitchen knife. I was outside on the deck and heard "KZZZZZZZ" very loudly and ran inside. Praise God he had hit the neutral first, then the hot, so that all the current went through the knife instead of him, but I was disturbed to find that the power was still on. I ended up replacing that breaker, but now wonder if the whole panel was bad breakers. Just checked our panel here, it's a Cutler-hamm
  3. Yea, I've always wondered if some kind of disaster like that was coming and there wasn't anything anybody could do, would the government try to keep it under wrap to prevent panic or just general crazyness?
  4. Sounds like the state may have to revisit that part of the law...
  5. Congrats! We make the last payment of 63 on our car this month!!
  6. Hmmm.. food and gas up, cars, restaurants and furniture down, sounds like disposable income just took a major hit. Wonder what happened? I make our last payment on our 2007 automobile this month. Our other 2004 van has 125K on it and I'd love to get another, but until *my* economy looks better, ain't gonna happen.
  7. They are fired, the turnover in that store is 50% or more a year. If the store could pay them what they are worth, they might still have a job. I do realize that if the store paid above minimum, it might be able to attract a better level of worker, but that's another condition all together.
  8. Sad thing is a lot of the people working for the MW now are not worth what they are getting paid already. My son works a local grocery store and he sees these MW workers who feel if they show up they deserve the wage, forget actually digging in and working. If the MW goes up, look to see a lot of these workers on the dole.
  9. We used Mike to pump ours and then Skyline helped with a clog we had about six months later. I recommend either for pumping. Skyline was out within 30 minutes of my call and since I already had the tank cover dug up, was able to clear the clog within another 30-45 minutes. Price depends on the size of the tank.
  10. Second Gables. I'd at least talk with them and get their price, we have been pleased with the jackets we got from them.
  11. You might want to edit you title unless Aria is a commerce member.
  12. The Paulding county recycling center will take everything except CRT (tube) monitors for free. CRTs are 10.00 each to recycle if you just want to get rid of it. Better than it going to the landfill. I have a couple of 6 year old PCs myself that I just spent a day reinstalling the OS on. I hope I can find someone that can use them.
  13. High cost nothin', I can't even find any 9mm to practice with! Anybody seen any around town in the last few weeks?
  14. "Don't Worry... Be Happy..." always wanted to throw the radio across the room when that came on.
  15. Yea, I first got offered the discount at 45, they didn't even ask for proof.
  16. In my mind, warning shots up the tension to a much higher level without any benefit. If the perps are armed, they most likely will assume you are shooting at them and are much more likely to think about returning the fire than just running. I've often wondered where that "warning" shot the guy in Atlanta fired came down and how lucky he was it didn't hit someone else. My gut feel is that if I feel the need to shoot, I'm going to fire for effect.
  17. Pretty normal. Jan - Feb is their slow season, then spring planting kicks up the sales.
  18. Oh man, there is a lot of Tractor/Trailer traffic on that road headed to/from the Port of Savannah. We drive the portion from Macon to Dublin often going to our hunting club.
  19. They have about dropped off the news radar with all of the Gun Control stuff, but since my brother is deployed with them, I've been trying to keep track of what's happening. As I recall, one of the NATO batteries went active a couple of weeks ago, these articles are about the US unit. Patriot Missle Batteries Go Active A Fox Video Report on the Unit (They are about the only news following them) Fox Video Report The video shows Bravo Battalion. They only had about 3 weeks notice that they had to go back in Dec.
  20. Chicago police won't come out to your house any more unless the perp is still there. CBS Chicago
  21. And Snakes. Very much Snakes.... Texas is one of the few places that is legal. Wonder what their theft rate is like?
  22. How about: Not just suspend, but have the KID *arrested* and taken to jail for a TOY GUN!?! I thought that putting the orange tips on toy guns were to *prevent* overreaction by people who saw it. Silly me.
  23. Man, I wish that we only spent $3K a year on gas, it's more like $5K a year and I work at home. If I still had to work in the office in Alpharetta, we'd have to move. I guess we make up for an inner city couple that don't own a car in that "average". Interesting that the Govt rates it against pre-tax income. I guess it's supposed to make it sound better than 5+% of take home pay. Add an increase in Gasoline costs to a 2.5% reduction in take home salary due to the tax break expiration and in my humble opinion, we will soon see a hit on the consumer based recovery. Going to be i
  24. On the topics of kids allowed to run free in stores - One of my kids works at a grocery store and they have all kinds of problems with kids just taking stuff of the shelves and eating it all the time. Idiot parents are paying no attention at all or just don't care. However, sometimes there is justice. One day he watched as one of the little brats went into the produce department, grabbed a brightly colored object that looked good and before he could do anything, took a big bite and started chewing. And then then promptly started screaming and spitting out pieces of Habanero pepper a
  25. Somebody call FEMA they will have it back on in a week or so.
