  1. Thanks Ginger! I can't wait to see the rest of the pics!!!
  2. I don't know about Direct but we have Dish and it has to be a really hard rain or bad storm for it to go out. I have 3 receivers and the 250 channel package with all the local channels and the maintenance program and I pay $72.00 per month.
  3. I agree with everyone who said to pray. Anytime you're worrying about something just stop for a minutes and say "God, I'm not able to handle this...you take it and deal with it and let me know what to do". If you do this sincerely and put your trust and faith in God I promise this will work. Try it..what do you have to lose?

    I am sick!

I don't think it matters. They won't ring the phone. It's a locator. A map will show the general vicinity the phone is in. IDK..it may not do any good because the locator map may just show it in your neighborhood. I'm not sure how close they can get it. It may be worth a call to them to see, though.

    I am sick!

Can AT&T "ping" it through the GPS that's built into it? Maybe you could give them a call and see. If they can then they may can give you a general idea as to where it's at. Just a thought....
  6. Yep...I know what you mean. Hubby just turned 60 last year and I turned 55. Seems like it was just a few years ago we were newlyweds and just starting out. Now our kids are 34 and 27 and we're planning our retirement. Time flies when you're having fun....huh???!!!!!!
  7. We've had Dish for about 11 years now and haven't had any problems with the service or the customer service. We have the maintenance plan so we don't have to pay for new receiver boxes, remotes, etc.. if they go bad. The programming is comparable to Direct. Each of them have certain channels that the other one doesn't have but Dish has all the channels I want so that's not a problem. I can't get U-Verse either but I don't know that I'll get it even when I can. It would cost me more than what I'm paying right now.
  8. There is a way to do it but I'm not sure how. Call Mike - A Friendly Geek. I'm sure he can tell you!
  9. Yesterday I was in Home Depot and they have a very nice Bistro set for $69.95. It's 2 cushioned chairs and a 22 inch square top little table with a tempered glass top. The metal looked like a dark brass color and the cushions were a rust and gold colored stripe. Very nice set for that price!
  10. I appreciate the S.O. for giving everyone a "heads up" about this. Most people know not to fall for this type of scam but alot of elderly people don't think clearly and can be victimized easily. If you have an elderly family member, neighbor or friend this would be a good opportunity to discuss this with them and make sure they know what's going on.
  11. We saw it as we were driving down C.H.James Pkwy headed home. Beautiful!!! I haven't seen a rainbow that spectacular in a long time. It was so bright and wide with all of the colors very definite and bright. Didn't have my camera with me either...
  12. quote name='RaidersRock' date='13 March 2010 - 12:56 PM' timestamp='1268502990' post='3106726'] I have a 12 yo daughter and honestly I don't think she is ready to be home by herself. However when my boys were 12 they did. I know what you mean. I think it depends on the kid. There's some 15-16 year olds that have no business being home alone!!!
  13. http://www.latchkey-kids.com/latchkey-kids-age-limits.htm Check out this website. It looks like in the State of Georgia the age is 9. I think that's a bit young, though. I don't know that I would have let my 9 year old come home alone. Mine were 12 before I let them come home by themselves.

    Baby Cayden

When Ellie was born she had a heart murmur and valve regurgitation. Both issues resolved themselves by the time she was 15 months old. Congrats on getting that sweet little one home. Try not to worry too much. I'm sure he's going to be just fine.

    Break in

That is so scary!! Too bad the homeowner didn't just blow the idiot away!!!! Where is McClendon Creek?
  16. Pot roast with tater, celery, carrots & onions cooked in the crockpot all day.
  17. I agree! Whatever happened to teaching our kids abstinence instead of taking the attitude that "they're going to have sex so lets get them birth control". We should educate them about the consequences of sex but abstinence should be stressed. Yes, some are still going to have sex but if we get back to raising our kids the way our parents and grandparents raised theirs there would be alot less teen pregnancy. JMHO....
  18. Yes, September will be 38 years.
  19. Hubby and I met on June 5, 1972, became engaged on June 30th, 1972 and married Sept.23, 1972. We'll celebrate our 38th anniversary this year. I was 17 and he was 23.
  20. Cool! We just saw it. It looked like a bright light moving SW to NE. No blinking, noise or anything.
  21. I agree with MO3. This could be a blood clot. I would go to an ER immediately. It may just be a blown tendon side effect from the meds but better safe than sorry.
  22. Cute kids! Love the dress!!
