That's the same thing that got in my laptop last weekend. Put that green shield in the corner and wouldn't let me do anything! I couldn't do a system restore because it wouldn't let me. Mike, A Friendly Geek, took care of it for me really quick and very reasonable!! I recommend you give him a call!!

I got that nasty virus that's been making the rounds. Mike (A Friendly Geek) took my laptop on Sunday and had it cleaned up and back to me by Monday afternoon. He's great!!!!

IMO, 40 bucks is a bit steep for an oil & filter change. There's alot of places that will do it for $25.00 or less.

Walmart announced today that it will begin offering phones over the AT&T network for their StraightTalk service. This is in addition to the Verizon phones they offer now. Not sure when it will be done. I saw a news story about it in the business section.

We've put bags of ice in our pool before. Ours is 93 degrees today!! I just ain't gonna swim in 93 degree water. I'll stay inside in the AC.

My sister has U-Verse and loves it. She hasn't had any problems with it so far. She lives in Stockbridge, though. Not sure about the service in this area. There are a few folks here on PCOM that have it so maybe they'll chime in.

When our daughter got married the photographer came to the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner and took pictures. Just candid shots. Nothing posed or planned. It was fun and the pics are great!

I think WellStar and Kaiser parted ways. I don't think you can use WellStar facilities with Kaiser insurance anymore. My son has Kaiser and is having to start using their clinics because of it.

I know!!!! That's what I was so overwhelmed about!!! How he goes out of his way to make things easy and convenient for his customers. Heck, we told him we have a car that needs transmission work and he's coming over here this evening to get it and fix it for us. How many mechanics actually do that????!!!! If you're vaccinated against Whooping Cough (DPT) would that keep you from getting it or would that just make it a milder case if you catch it? This is so scary and with so many people now choosing to not vaccinate their kids I'm just wondering how this will affect the kids that are vaccinated.

We have a desktop and laptop that are both running Vista. We also have the Windows 7 upgrade disks for both computers but we haven't been able to make the upgrade finish without errors so we'll just keep Vista, I guess. Actually, we haven't had any problems with Vista.

Yep...this is what's causing the higher bills. Even if you keep your thermostat set to 76-77 degrees this Summer - same as you did last Summer - this Summer has been alot hotter than last Summer. Your AC has to run alot more to keep your house at 76-77 degrees than it did last Summer. That's why the electric bills are higher right now. When the heat wave breaks then you'll see your bill drop a bit.
