U-Verse is coming to my neighborhood in January so I'm just waiting. I'll be "Ditching the Dish"!

Yep...it's been several years ago when we had to do this. Took about 2 months to actually get the folks out of our house once we started the eviction process. Gave them plenty of time to totally destroy our house because they were mad we were kicking them out.

I agree!! I have been reading all of the threads about this and it just boggles my mind. Good Lord, people, don't punish the little ones because y'all have your panties in a wad over what day they're going to trick or treat. This is supposed to be a fun time for the kids. I will have candy both nights. Makes no difference to me when they come. If you don't want to do it on a particular night then leave your porch light off and don't worry about it.

You know what? This is the most idiotic post I have seen in a while! If anyone in my family was needing medical attention very quickly I wouldn't give a rip if someone broke the law to get them to it! Get a grip!!

Denise, I don't know you or your family personally...just from your posts here on PCOM...and I think you are a truly amazing woman. Your strength is something I would hope to have if I ever have to face the things you have had to. That strength will get you and Phillip through this. I will keep y'all in my prayers daily. God is still in the miracle business and His Grace is sufficient.

It happened to me again, too, a couple of days ago. I didn't click on anything when I got the pop-up. Just went back to my desktop and ran Superantispyware that Mike, The Friendly Geek, recommended. It got it and cleaned it up before it could do any damage!

You know, that's what I was wondering. The one and only time we had to use an ambulance service they billed our insurance company and they paid them directly. I love Sam and have known him for years. I sure hope he can manage to pull himself out of this and continue operating here in the county.

Good Lord!!!! I'm so glad that lady saw this child and prevented what could have been a very tragic situation.

I am grateful that I have a job. I enjoy the work I do and the people I work with. I don't like the company I work for. After a buyout 3 years ago there have been too many changes made that have negatively affected the work atmosphere. After 38 years I think I'm just getting burned out and am seriously looking at retiring.

We love Top O The River!!!!! We have a campground membership on Lake Guntersville and we go eat there everytime we're out there! It's yummy!!!!

I wanted to bring Ellie but we're going camping this weekend. I'll have to try to catch you someplace else during the Holidays to get her picture made.

We took Ellie to Burts and Hillcrest in Ellijay last Friday. Even though the festival wasn't going on and it was a weekday it was packed! I can imagine how bad it was Saturday & Sunday. We had fun, though.

I know several people who have U-Verse and absolutely love it. In fact, I don't know anyone who has it and doesn't love it. That's not true for Dish & Direct. Some folks like their service/viewing options and others don't. You're right, though. I'll check package prices and do some research to see what will be the best fit for us.

According to the news reports that I've read about this dispute if it's not settled by November 1st we will lose local Channel 5 - (Fox 5 Atlanta). I guess we'll see come Nov.1st. I have a decision to make. U-Verse will be available in my neighborhood in January. Do I just keep Dish 'til then and go with U-Verse or go on and switch to DirectTV on Nov 1st?

ha When I uninstalled IE8 it automatically put IE7 back on. I don't know how it knew to do that or where it got it from. I'm not very computer literate either.

AT&T here and no problems. There is something about IE8 that causes problems, though. I had to uninstall it because my computer just didn't like it!

That's weird. We didn't lose Discovery. We lost all of the Fox sports channels plus FX and National Geographic Channel. Wonder why they took Discovery off of yours?

I think I would have reported the incident to the Sheriff's Office just because of their truck being stolen a few days ago. Sounds really fishy to me....

We dated about 3 weeks before we became engaged. Married 3 months later. I was 17 and he was 23. We celebrated our 38th anniversary last week. Yes...I would do it all over again! He's still my best friend and I can't imagine life without him.
