Do you know if the water is still out? The water department said it is out due to major break on Due West Road. We have a well. So, when the county water went out, DH reconnented our house to well water. Apparenty, you live in my neighborhood. If water is still out and you need some more water, pm me and I will give you some well water. We cannot tell if the county water is back unless someone tells us or DH reconnents and it comes on. It might be better to just stay on well water for a while, since we will not have to boil it.

Who has the easiest, best fudge recipe?
confederaterose replied to MaineGal's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Squiggle, I made your Foolproof Fudge today. It was really good. I did use about 1 1/2 cups of toasted walnuts. Thanks for such good easy reciepe. -
I saw the tapes on Fox Cable News. It just makes me sick that Acorn is funded by our tax dollars.

I had a problem similar to this about a month ago. Before it was over, I was fit to be tied. I called the toll free number to activate new service on one of their cable boxes, when their automated service would not reconize my phone number. Who did I get? Someone in the Philipines that spoke English as their second language. The did not have a clue what I was talking about and I sure as hell did not know what they were talking about. The only thing I could think to do was e-mail them. I was very rude and said I could not understand why Comcast would have someone in customer service

The Art Shop across from Dallas Elementary has lot of pictures of old Dallas and Hiram.

Oh, I wish I had a photo of a car I saw parked at the Walmart on 120. It was parked in the paralell handicap space right in front of the store; however, it was diagonally parked.

Herman Cain at Paulding Chamber luncheon today
confederaterose replied to joemturner's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I do love Herman. Wished I had been there to see him. He is going to be at Miller Park, Marietta sometime in Sept. I do not know the exact date. Last time 4,000 people attended his rally at Miller Park and a much larger crowd is expected next time. Is he running for the Senate again? I voted for him last time. He would represent us much better than Wimp Johnny. -
I complained to KFC on their website. I complained because I ordered org. and when I got home it was grilled. I asked for a reply to my e-mail. To date, about 8 weeks, not one word. Maybe because in the e-mail, I said that their grilled chicken was going to be the demise of KFC and in and the furture when I wanted fried chicken, I would go to Mrs. Wiener's which is next door, since they apparently no longer have fried chicken.

New Judge of Georgia Supreme Court Appointed

I think Sonny did good on this, too. -
Casino's in GA would be nice and good money maker. The GA Lottery at Underground- NO. I do not know anyone that would go to Underground now. The last time I went there, it seemed to some kind of turf war between the Bloods and Krups. We all know the current crime rate in Atl. I spent half my time in Atl. until a few years ago and now I am afraid to cross the Hooch. They need to build the Casino's in safe areas to make any money.

If you pop into the Goodwill from time to time, you can some times find something you cannot live without. I bought a $200 bracelet for $3.29 and $900 clarinet for $32.

14-Year-Old Crashes Dad’s SUV On Way To Buy Skittles
confederaterose replied to MillCreek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I saw this on Channel 2 shortly after it happened. Dad had just arrived at the scene and thowing a fit. The police said they typical release a child of this age to their parents. However, they had decided to take the child to the station for his own safety. That kind of tells me that Dad was threating to kill him. -
The last few times I have been there it has not been good. Doug died a while back and it is now being run by his son and it sure is not the same. And then a few months back, they got some where in the 40's on their health food score, which was sure a turn off.

DH served on Federal Grand Jury for 18 months. I served County Grand Jury which was only 3 months. Based on comparing notes, the only difference we could tell was Federal last longer as it does with Petty Jury (2 weeks v 1 week). Hope you enjoy it, I love serving on Jury Duty whether Grand Jury or Petty Jury.

Today on the 4 o'clock news on channel 46 they interviewed 3 people that had started a business. They discussed how to get started, etc. They said everything about starting a business would be on their web site, which I think is cbs46news.com. If not then it must be cbs46.com. Good Luck!

Cost of treating obese patients soars to $147 billion
confederaterose replied to OldGoat99's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I heard Dr. Nancy Snyderman, say this morning on the Today Show, that the cost of treating obese people is now 4 times greater than treating smokers. -
MsGAStorm, I think Mom did it with her face up. Dr. Langford did say it was going to feel like you were falling, when you first started doing them; but, not to worry, you a laying on the bed.

My Mom had it so bad she was hospitalized with it on several ocassions. She took the same meds. that have been mentioned. Then she changed Drs. and started going to Dr. Terry Langford in Hiram. He said he did not know if it would work; but, he gave her some excerised that she did twice a day for it. For the rest of her life, she ne never had another problem and she did live about 5 years after this. The exercises with rather simple and she said it was so relaxing that she would often go to sleep in that postion. Dr. Langford said lay on the bed with her head hanging off the bed,

I saw this on TV a few weeks ago. I think channel 2. A ticket in Atlanta is now normally over $700. The same tickets in Cobb County are under $200. The reporter said each county sets their own fines, so it is legal.

The Paulding.com News for Friday, July 10 , 2009
confederaterose replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Just wanted to give a special thanks to CPL Gurley. Everytime I saw Bruce Harris on TV, in his golf shirt and jeans, looking like he just crawled out of bed, it made me chringe. With CPL Gurley as the spokesperson for the Sheriff's Dept., it really makes me proud. We no longer look like the redneck, hicks of the Metro area. I also have a couple of questions. What was Steve with Barks and Bags charged with? I read somewhere that Nemie would not be charged. Why is Nemie not being charged? Was this not a joint effort? Is this selective prosecution? -
My DD is a real estate agent and has a subdivision in the $700,000 range with a model home. It is in Cobb County; but, not too far from Paulding. If you are interested in seeing the model home, pm me and I will provide contact information. You will need to contact her to see the home, which she will not mind showing even if you do not intent to buy.

If you can get on the credit card thing quick enough, the video might still be available, as all stores seem to have them now. Most of them just keep taping over unless there is an ocurance. My daughter had some her van stolen several years ago, with credit cards in it. They were used; but, it was too late for the videos because they were already taped over.

Another one that shouldn't have received bond
confederaterose replied to michelay1000's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It appears this young lady thinks she is above the law. Her bond should be revolked and her never get out of jail again. -
Do they collect any money on the loose dog ordiance? They sure do not come to my neighbor. There are so many in my neighborhood, they would probaly not even have to raise taxes. When all the people that are taxed to death, have a shortfall in their budget, they have to find a way to cut back. Why should the county not have to do the same thing? Due to the budget shorfall, the State is cutting the road right-of-ways only once this year. As I understand, the County is cutting the right-of-ways 5 times this summer and the job is outsoursed to a TN company. I know they have already cut

We are so glad to see you were not on the list to be cut. Out of the 800 dealers, it looks like only about 2% were from GA. Tells me all "dem Ga boys looove dem Dodge trucks". I know my Hubby loves his.
