  1. Hey just be glad you have a trickle That makes perfect sense! Suppose the tank/tower thing is out or low....what does that end up meaning? I didn't think those things ever got low but then again I've never put much thought into water other than its typically there when I turn on the faucet
  2. Guess I should've explained it better when I made my first post but I was on the phone and running around getting the house picked up while running back here to type Our water was and had been normal all day, I had just used it, shut it off and then went to use it again when it was down to a trickle and then poof...gone. Not sure if I mentioned it but I got some water from the outside faucet/hose. It seems to still have a trickle to it for whatever reason. Good enough for washing dishes and flushing toilets I'm sure Tomorrow is a new day, maybe the water issues will be fi
  3. Thanks for the offer As annoying as it might be to not have water, I'm thankful that whatever caused it to go away waited until later in the evening. Hope it comes on soon. I don't think I'll take running water for granted after this Thats crazy! There is a chunk of us over there by the 4 way that have no water...talk about hit or miss
  4. Yeah we had regular normal pressure then it trickled and was off. I figured the trickle was all that was left in the pipes. It was fine right before that......I'm not saying they are shutting the water off everywhere, I just didn't know they were shutting it off in our area. When a call was made to the water department, they said it might be due to "the tank running low or out because they weren't aware of any breaks in the area" or something to that extent.....so I don't know what that all means???
  5. We never had low water pressure....it was there and then it went away.
  6. Drats! I had a trickle and now my trickle is gone.......is there any news on when it'll be turned back on?
  7. I'm sure its safe to bathe in but if you have concerns you could do sponge baths until this is over. Just boil the water, let it cool and use it once its a safe enough temp. It wouldn't hurt to add some yogurt (regular yogurt like yoplait not the yoplait whips) or grab some probiotics (I get mine and my kids from the Herb store on the side of Target in Hiram) and start taking them. They make them for kids too. Or baby wipes....wouldn't be the most awesome bath ever but it'd help one freshen up and get some degree of clean going on.
  8. I'm ahead of the game I guess, been boiling water since yesterday morning
  9. My poor husband has no idea how he's going to get to work. Both routes he usually takes seem to be either closed or have multiple closures at various points.
  10. I'm boiling some water anyways....won't take but a few minutes and a lil bit of fridge room. Betetr safe than sorry.
  11. Helicopter may be for the teens stuck in a tree
  12. I called the post office earlier, they said if they can make it down the road they'll deliver.
  13. Not bad at all, I went out to Publix in New Georgia and returned safe The roads I mean, or atleas tthe ones I traveled.....I'm sure low lying areas aren't as lucky.
  14. I've got the whole family home today, we're just hanging out having a low key kinda day. We're reminded how lucky we are that our house isn't flooded as badly as others and are so thankful for that. I'm catching up with friends and finishing up on some DRA leveling......things could always be worse right?
  15. Wow thanks for the videos! My FIL lives out that way, thankfully his house is high up on a hill.
  16. I'm going to need to grab milk, we only have about a 1/4th of a gallon which won't last long between 2 kids. Do I attempt to go to Publix (is it even open?)??? Is there even any milk to buy?
  17. We have a creek that pretty much surrounds the neighborhood, it empties into a swamp thing before emptying into a lake. Usually the swamp thing doesn't have much water in it as the creek is usually a trickle. This is the swamp with all the rain lately:
  18. I thought I would get pictures of the creek in the backyard but I forgot I can't see it through the trees
  19. I thought I saw on channel 2 news that Spaghetti Junction was flooded in parts and cars were stalling out.....they were advising people to take other routes but double check to be sure.
  20. Pcom is hiccuping and lagging a bit, possibly due to the traffic on the site or maybe its sick of the flood talk Not sure, I think it'd be ok to get to the Villa Rica Home Depot but then again there are a few lakes/ponds/creeks and low lying roads out at this end of Dallas & Villa Rica......I'm not sure if sand bags could really help much at this point?
