Sorry to see you pass so young Ricky. Your children grieve for you. We laid you to rest in the shade this sunny afternoon in the valley with the family.

Is should be cut in chunks and it is sweet and spicy.
I have a recipe somewhere from when I used to make them. Can get it for you tomorrow if you wish.

I never knew you were cousins.

We just got back from eating our delicious steak.
Thanks you guys at Rodneys. It is always wonderful.

I agree with the Chattanooga Choo Choo. Make sure you ask for the restaurant with the singing waiters.
They take your order, serve your food and then have a jam session onstage. They sing GREAT!

We will be there!
I bet it will be as delicious as the Valentine's steak we shared there. YUM

You are lucky!
I just found this post and was going to contact you to see if it all went well.
Hubby was in the hospital for 3 days about 10 years ago from a cat bite. Our cat, all the shots but the day after the bite he had red streaks on his arm.
Glad you are OK!!

West Metro
I used blueberries last evening when I made this recipe.
Wash about 3 or 4 cups of berries, put about 3/4 cup of water in a pan with 1/2 cup of sugar and simmer till the sugar melts.
Use that just like the recipe calls for peaches. Drain, reserve some juice and spread the berries over the batter. I did sprinkle 1/4 cup of sugar over the blueberries before adding the cream cheese topping.
It was YUMMY.
Things are going great with me, covered up busy and love it that way.
Lady Raider.............you are welcome at any time in my humble abode.

I had to come look on P.com to find my recipe. It is lost in one of my stray cookbooks!
I am so glad I posted this one on here.

Maybe the pancakes taste so good because you are in the mountains?
Here is how I make mine.
I do not measure, just dump, so these measurements do not have to be followed to the letter. You will find your favorite way to make them using these ingredients. (try whole wheat flour sometime)
4 cups Self rising flour
1/2 cup Corn meal
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs
Mix
add 1/2 cup sugar (more if you like)
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix well
To this crumbly stuff I add buttermilk. I do not measure but add enough to make it all very smooth. Just keep the beaters going. It is OK if it is thick, just make it smooth.
Have the griddle ready with pure butter melted and waiting.......
Have a glass of ICE water handy. Just before you pour the batter on the griddle, add enough ice water to make it the consistancy to pour. Keep the ice water because the batter will thicken again.
Enjoy!
I know it is not the pancake house but this recipe has worked for me for more years than I care to think about.

I would think that the one behind the animal shelter would be the pauper graves.
I heard stories as a child of a pauper farm being in that area years ago.

Some of the people on Dragstrip Rd. went before the commissioners with a proposal signed by several of the residents wanting the name changed. I did not sign it or see it but was told it said that East Paulding Dr. would be a better name for the image of this side of the county. (or something like that)
I sure do miss Dragstrip Rd............but even the dragstrip is gone now.
