  1. it's a great hood!!! They are just the pits. Seriously, rotten, stinky pits.
  2. I don't know which bank owns the house, how do you find out? I don't want to call the popo & say, "i saw the bad kids from across the street trying to break into the empty house"... They are two 8th grade girls...they didn't stay long, but long enough to lift up the door....
  3. well, if you move into the house then they wouldn't be in an empty house, lol!
  4. Just like in summer when kids have nothing to do, here we are at holiday break.. We have an empty house diagonal across the street and the lil darling across the street just lifted the broken garage door. Can't call her 'mother'... couldn't call her 'mother' when she was throwing snowballs at my front door either on Christmas night. Oh, did I mention I'm on crutches after surgery with three dogs who excel at barking & going ape shiot crazy when anything is going on at the door?? Oh, also the very same child who rang my doorbell & tried to run but was busted by my husband & who's
  5. Subby just reminded me the other day on fb that we've never met IRL, but it seems like I've known him forever. Weird thing about it is I was at Kroger the other night, got out of my car & saw this lady that I swore I knew. Got home & it was bugging me to death. Finally I knew how I know her. I don't know her at all, it was Subby's wife & have seen her pix on his fb. Like I told him, it was a new kind of dejavu.
  6. Love Dr. Cantrell. I actually spoke to him last year around this time at my daughters' holiday dance show. His granddaughter danced there. Such a nice man, he had his family with him. I had my oldest daughter come over & meet him, he was the pediatrician who checked her out at the hospital & I stuck with him for a few years until I moved to Bremen. I can't say enough nice things about him
  7. today is my anniversary! Yay! And your tiny one is adorable!
  8. I think the self check outs need to have that dispenser up by the screen instead of by your knees...
  9. hahahaaaa! I haven't seen him in forever!! There is now a Faux-Fryin' in the Walmart outdoor area & he's sometimes the cashier.. DD is happy.
  10. Dh and I were at the Hiram Walmart in the self check on the clothing side, not the food side.. we just had one item. In the self check next to us a young guy was leaving after his purchase when I noticed cash in the lil dispenser. I asked him if it was his cash, he said no then took it to the lady at the podium/desk thingy. Honest kid, it was a wad of cash, I think $25. So, my husband says to the employee at the desk, "he did his good deed of the day" and that lady gave us the biggest eat shiot look ever & mumbled something AT us. I stood there and said, "excuse me?" And then again with
  11. Vader, I also live in South Paulding. A couple of years ago we had a guy in a white mini van, ladders on top, video taping houses. I was jogging the hood one day & one of the neighbors stopped me to ask if I saw the van bc he thought the guy was taping his kids playing in the front yard. He ran out the door and the guy took off.
  12. okay, you don't have to sit by me..I'll take a shower & everything. Come on, the show is coming soon!!! You can't miss the Oscarettes!!!!
  13. I have recently found out that I am indeed Old Paulding county. My ppl settled in south Paulding. There's a whole bunch of my folks buried in Sweetwater cemetery...and I thought I was only a Cobb Snob.

  15. C.Mark & NC... next time you are at D&D, I will bring you something to bedazzle from the dance studio. You can never have enough bling.
  16. I read the Dante Club several years ago, it was good! I recently bought another of his books The Last Dickens but haven't started it.
  17. My daughters attend Downtown Dance in Hiram and we are having our annual holiday show. This year's theme is a Tribute to Hollywood. I do know off the top of my head Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor & Marilyn Monroe will be there. These kids have been working like crazy!! My youngest daughter is in West Side Story's America dance, which can NOT be missed. The tickets are $10 and if you would like to purchase one, I can deliver it! The money pays for the kids' competition fees in the spring. The show is December 12th at 2:00 at the lovely Dallas Theater.
