  1. I could never, ever be a bus driver or teacher. Not enough money in the world. In elementary we had two bus drivers who were so wonderful, the best ever. Now in middle school I don't know the bus driver but the kid likes her. When the kid was "missing" one time in first grade, the bus barn was hopping, the principal was ready to drive to my house and the bus driver was already back at the house. I was at work, husband forgot (derp!) and the kid was found when the teacher called the house & she answered. Husband left the door unlocked (again, derp!) kid came in, she said she cried for a minute, then turned on a movie & got a popsicle. Totally our fault but they were in action like their hair was on fire. I still can't thank them enough.

  2. I would like to say thank you to these Pauling Co. Firefighters for there heroic act. This was/is my bestfriend of 30 years that they rescued. Again thank you for all you did and do. I just had lunch with her yesterday!

really?? M & M used to be my neighbors in Mtown when they first got married. I just realized this was their house that burned. My sister lives a few doors down from them. I still can't believe this!!

  3. I fall all.the.time. How do you think I broke my leg, tore my achilles & blew out the cartilage in my ankle?? And that was just ONE fall.

I like the time I was walking in the front yard (we have a sprinkler system) and my shoe string loop somehow got caught on a sprinkler head that sticks up a lil and I fell, came out of my shoe AND broke the top of the sprinkler.

    http://www.millagerate.com/blog/paulding-bungles-budget-hearings-citizens-denied-a-voice/

On August 10, the Paulding County Commission approved property tax rates to fund the FY-2011 budgets of the county and of the school system. While the school board held its millage rate steady, the County Commission approved a 14.3% increase in the M&O rate, from 6.65 to 7.60 mills.

On August 24, the Commission held a public hearing on the new budget; it is proposed to be approved at the Commission’s September 14 regular meeting.

“Hold on!” (I hear you, a mathematical millage rate advocate proclaim…) “You can’t know what the millage rate should be until after the portion of the budget that must be funded by property tax dollars is established! How can you approve a budget after approving the tax rate to fund it?”

  5. bump for the earlier nighttime crowd. lol.

Also, what kinds of breads do you like to buy at Farmer's Markets?

We will be selling a variety tomorrow, and usually sell out early-but I would like to hear your input on what kinds you would buy.

I want to come down to the farmer's market so badly! I've still yet to come to your shop. I want those darn thumbprint cookies w/the icing. Yum. I haven't had apple bread in YEARS. Is that something you would make? Caution: I will eat an entire loaf in one sitting bc I'm a pig.
