I love cabbage!! Smoked cabbage and sausage soup is the best. I even have recipes for cabbage salads. In the summer I'll eat some shredded cabbage with a little balsamic vinegar on it. Yum!!!

Having worked in a division of a large bank that included Corporate Security for several years, here is my 2 cents... Each bank may have different security protocols but typically banks will use a risk matrix to determine whether to place a dye pack or track pack in these teller drawers based on the location. Trac packs are pretty expensive so they are typically used in more crimee ridden areas.. Makes me go hum about Paulding County...

I had thought about at least touring a public elementary school even though my mind was pretty much made up to do private or homeschool when my son turns 5. I'm not even going to waste my time because the schools will be in just as bad shape if not worst in two years.

This postcard says stop military training at the airport. It says this meeting will discuss health issues relate to living near the airport, water contamination issues, zonming issues and more. This meeting is being put on by a citizen's activist group...

Did anyone else get the post card in the mail the other day regarding the Community meeting concerning the Airport and military training tomorrow? I heard they sent out close to 600 postcards to property owners near the airport and are getting a watch dog group together to monitor airport activities going forward.

I think pageants are degrading to women. But if you are into that sort of thing, carry on! Different strokes for different folks!

I just got my newspapers from the guy at the Food Lion. He's parked on the right side of the strip center if your coming in from Hiram Sudie Road. He said they were talking about the price going up. He was wpondering why nobody was coming to get papers. I told him that the rumor was out they were going to start charging $2 effective this week. He said that if the price goes up, they'll still only get .40 per paper.

The airport is a public airport, open from 7-11. Adjacent property owner's quality of life is being ruined by the noise, lights, etc from the airport now and it is just going to get worse. The Airport Authority has the discretion to sign or not sign the MOA with the Air National Guard for helicopter training. This is something that the Airport Authority can do to help adjacent property owner's quality of life from further degenerating. The Air National Gaurd is currently using the Rome Airport and there have supposedly been no complaints. They can stay up there where they are not causing a

The problem is this problem was stolen through condemnation, an airport built in a rural area where the homeowners existed before the airport. People in rural areas usaually live there because they want a quiet lifestyle. Now therer quality of life is being ruined, the value of home, their major investment is being threatened. Not to mention the fact that most if not all of the property owners are out there on wells and there is a very real threat of lead contamination. Madea- do you live near this airport???
