I went and filled out an application for a job yesterday and the place just felt "right". I'd really like an interview and job offer. I need some good vibes...

I went this morning and bought some store brand nightime pants for my 4 yo that were a good deal with the 25% off, some beans, TP, aluminum foil and Food lion salsa which is fabulous. A lot of the stuff was marked back up- kind of like Kroger has a sale price with a rewards cards, so that "discount was gone and most of the stuff was still too high. The lady at the register did say that the food would be marked down more. It looked like they had brought in employees for the liquidation as there were alot of of employees I had never seen beofre and she was talking about how at previous store

I went out to the Family Dollar website and they do have a decent grocery selection at some stores. I don't know what prices they have but if the have the basics like egg, milk bread and many of the items shown on the website, they might do okay at that location, especially in the absence of Food Lion.

We went a couple of weeks ago and got a chicken finger plate and paid the extra to get extra rings and for 1.79 extra I got 5 small onion rings, WTF, but the chicken fingers were really good. My friend also upgraded to onion rings and she got about the same, maybe they did one order and split it. I think my meal with the drink was 10 bucks, kind of expensive for lunch.. I'll try them one more time.

You have to be on the road at 5 am to travel 2.5 hours to get to a person's house that was left a note by the sheriff yesterday that they had to be out by 8 am the next morning due to a foreclosure that the person did't find until 5 or 6 pm because the sheriff didn't knock on the door although there was a car in the driveway. Hubby is doing that this morning-- ugh..

Just yesterday I was in the Food Lion looking at their clearance and decided 1.29 for a 5 ounce can of pork brains in milk gravy was too high, if its marked down some more I just might bite. Lol!-- I'm not kidding about the brains either lower shelf of clearance cart in the pharmacy area facing the dairy wall.

I love that Ingles. I will be going there vs. the zoo -- aka Kroger on 278.

I am going to absolutely hate it. I was in there 2-3 times a week to pick up things since it was so convenient to the house and it wans't a hassle to get in and out but it was never busy like the Kroger. From what I understand, grocery stores have very low margins and make there money on volume. Sad for the people working there... I just wonder if they expanded too fast.. that gets a lot of companies.

Hot tea with lemon, honey and a sprinkle of powdered tumeric and star anise. Tumeric has antibacterial qualities and star anise is used to make tamiflu. I use this when I start to feel like I have caught a cold, etc.

I had been looking for this particular car for a while and Kohl's in Hiram of all places had 5 or 6 of these for less than $4 if anyone else has been looking for this particular car. Apparently its a little hard to find.

Of course the unemployment rate is going to go down when you adjust the laborforce participation rate. The BLS has revised the way the unemployment rate is calculated numerous times always to make things look better. There is a strong demand for horse meat among immigrant populations. However you feel about it at least it brings the slaughter and selling of this meat out of the black market and will have some oversight. There are some documentaries on youtube and other places on the net concerning this issue.

I marinated my turkey overnight in a brine and then slow roasted it after 30 minutes at 500 degrees to get the outside crispy with an inside stuffed with apples, oranges, sage, onion and cinnamon stick. Very juicy and flavorful. I heard about a smoked fried turkey that sounds interesting.

Nothing really right now. Will probably get a greenhouse in the spring as a belated x-mas gift.

If you really want to catch drunks with a minimum of effort why not sit right outside of the bars in the area and pull those people over. But in the process of those check points they usually catch lots of folks with outstanding warrants..

We happened to be in Kmart when you were there last year and got our son's picture made. The quality and pricing of the picture was great.

From what I have heard this will be a public/private partnership w/ the public part's contribution-- it has eminent domain capability. No thank you. Don't think someone should be forced to sell something they don't want, only to be turned over to someone else to make a profit.
