The loss of a newborn is something most of us can only sympathize with but never fully know.

Izabella is such a beautiful name, as I'm sure she is beautiful to you. I wish for healing in your family and some measure of peace in your heart as you walk through this act of burying your sweet baby. I can't even imagine your loss or the depth of your pain. My whole heart is with you, and your beautiful little girl.

May you find comfort in the long days to come, and may your love for her and her memory last forever.

I knew a Stephanie West when I went to school at McEachern(grad. 1989)

I am so sorry that this family is going through this right now. I pray they are strenghtened every day. I cannot imagine what you all are facing and you all will be in my prayers. Tough on the little infants momma and tough on the momma's momma.

God bless you all.

(Obit. spelled Asheville wrong my grandparents lived there)

Just found out this baby died of SIDS. I know Stephanie and she when to Paulding County High class of 90 or 91. Please pray for this family they really need it.

I can't find Sephanie in my yearbook. The name sounds so familiar. I was in school during this time.

What Makes A Mother....

I thought of you and closed my eyes

and prayed to God today,

I asked him, what makes a Mother?

And I know I heard him say...

A mother has a baby

this we know is true,

But God, can you be a Mother

when your baby is not with you?

Yes you can, he replied,

with confidence in his voice.

I give many women babies,

when they leave is not their choice.

Some I send for a lifetime,

others for a day,

And some I send to fill your womb

but there is no need to stay.

I just don't understand this God,

I want my baby here.

He took a breath, cleared his throat

and then I saw a tear

I wish I could show you what your child is doing today.

We go to earth to learn our lessons

of love, life and fear

My mommy loved me so much

I got to come straight here.

I feel so lucky to have a Mom,

who had so much love for me,

I learnt my lessons very quick

my Mommy set me free,

I miss my Mommy so very much,

but I visit her each and everyday,

When she goes to sleep,

on her pillow there I lay,

I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek

and whisper in her ear,

Mommy don't be sad,

I'm your baby and I am here.

So, my dear sweet,

your children are OK,

Your babies are in my home

and here is where they will stay.

They will wait with me

until your lessons are through,

And on the day that you come,

they will be at the gates, Waiting for you.
