New Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Opens

Sheriff Gary Gulledge would like to announce the partial opening of the new Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and Jail complex. The new complex which has been under construction for the past several years is officially opening tomorrow morning to the public. Although full Jail operations will begin in the coming weeks, all other law enforcement operations will be conducted out of our new facility which is located at 180 Constitution Boulevard Dallas, GA 30132 (directly behind the Paulding County Courthouse). Sheriff Gary Gulledge stated, “We fully intended to host several public tours of the new facility, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing guidelines, we were unable to. We have been working on a virtual tour video that we will share with the public in the coming weeks via our social media pages.” He further added, “I am so appreciative to our community members for their support during this massive undertaking. This facility will fill the needs of Paulding County citizens for years to come.” As many of you may remember, the approval to construct the new Sheriff’s Office and Jail facility was voted on and approved by the citizens of Paulding County in the 2016 general election. The culmination of this project will be a complete enhancement of law enforcement services for the citizens of Paulding County. On Tuesday May 19, 2020 at 8:00 AM the lobby of the new Paulding County Sheriff’s Office will be open to the public. We want to remind everyone that social distancing guidelines will be strictly enforced and we encourage everyone to wear an N95 mask if possible. We will also be limiting the amount of people in our lobby. If you can conduct your business by phone, we still encourage you to do so.  If you have it in you maybe we can get a couple of cops to put me in handcuffs and show us what the inside of the jail looks like and you could do a story Baja ha ha I think only you could do it TRUE  justice!
