You misspelled 'Thank you'.   GMAFB.

Just make up stuff when you have no facts to go on.   What a sad little man you are.

If you're going to give up on traitors I guess you won't be watching any Celebrity Apprentice reruns.

You and your twin (The Postman) hijack threads every day to talk trash about our president. Boo Hoo... your candidate lost. try again in 2020

Why Captain, you thought a fictional character of the Civil War was a traitor you admired, but he even took Confederate moneys to live lavishly, while poor white Southerners eat garbage.

Why did you choose a traitor for your P.com avatar?

The real Rhett Butler was George A. Trenholm

He was attacking me. He's done that in the past and pubby has done it a lot as well. They think nothing of it at all when people refuse to look for work and collect welfare from the government. In fact, they seem to think that's quite acceptable and the government should pay the way of the lazy asses in this country. It's quite comical they attack those serving in the military as living off the government teat, as if service members do absolutely nothing in return for the pay and benefits they receive. Quite hypocritical on their part, don't you think? It's also very telling how they really view those who serve in the military; especially those who make it a career.

Put Newt, Trump, Rudy and Rush in a room and what’ve you got (besides more than half a ton of flesh)? 13 wives, 14 deferments and 0 military service. - Col. Morris Davis (ret.)

What a meaningless worn out phrase that has become.

At least people say it to you. I rarely hear that as a women. I just get told, you don't look like you were in the military. I watch Jane Fonda. Last movie was Book Club and there is no way I'm buying her hooking up with Don Johnson.

"Truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth."

Hate is hate regardless of who says it or what their rationale is.

Perhaps the political left should remember the words of this great man.

Hate is a matter of perception and I believe your perception is a misconception.

The irony is that you would quote someone that you soundly disagree with. If he were alive today, I don't think you would say that he is great.

It is abundantly obvious that in your case any criticism of Trump is hate speech . It's also clear that you are using Dr. King to help your case , we certainly didn't see you quoting the man three years ago. For people that truly admire the man and what contributed to society your shameful use of his words could be viewed as sacrilege.

What?

I completely agree with the Dr. King. Please don't tell lies about me.

I have always admired Dr. King, so like DVBP, you are lying about me. I recall that you once said I should not quote the man because I am not black. That statement was inherently racist because he and I belong to the same race, that being the human race. Unlike you, I don't judge by skin color.

When King was alive conservatives called everything from militant to communist and everything in between. I believe if he were alive you would liken him to Al Sharpton. I'm certain you have read nothing about who he was and what he did. If you read about his life you would not embrace him or the policies he pushed for. It's easy to piggyback on his memory but to actually embrace who he was is not who you are.

Dr. King was conservative in many ways. It has been suggested that he was a Republican.

Al Sharpton is nothing like what Dr. King was; he doesn't have the same values or the level of integrity that King had.

I was alive when King was spreading his message; young but I remember well. Your interpretation of what happened then is quite flawed. It was the southern Democrats (including Al Gore's father) who fought King as well as tried to block the civil rights act of 1964. In fact...it was Republicans (when they were still a good party) who pushed through the legislation.

When the Voting Rights Act hit the floor in 1965, the vote results mirrored those of the Civil Rights Act. In the House, the measure passed by a 333-85 margin, with 78 percent of Democrats backing it (221 yeas and 61 nays) and 82 percent of Republicans backing it (112 yeas to 24 nays).

In the Senate, the measure passed by a 77-19 vote, with 73 percent of Democrats and 94 percent of Republicans supporting the bill.

Much has changed since then and then nothing at all. Those Dixiecrats that voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 are Republicans today. It is the Republicans that implemented the "Southern Strategy" since the CRA of 1964. It is also conservative judges in the Supreme Court that have rolled back the Civil Rights Act and it is conservatives judges and state legislatures that continue to roll back the Voting Rights Act of 1965, so if anyone is attempting to revise history, that would be you.

The Dixiecrats from back then are not Republicans today, they are dead today. Do you actually think this stuff through?

The actual "Southern Strategy" was when Lyndon Johnson began the campaign that Democrats still use today and lie to the minorities to make them think they are looking out for them. LBJ was overheard on Air Force One stating that he'd have those n*****s voting Democrat for the next 200 years. It's fact, look it up.

Things have changed, but not as you say. The Democratic Party doesn't give a damn about minorities, they merely claim to so you'll think they are in your corner. In reality, they just want your vote. If they really cared about helping blacks and poor people, they would work to help people move from a life of dependence into self-sufficiency. Begin to phase down the welfare state and educate and equip our future citizens to be able to get good jobs and earn a livable income. To be fair, the GOP haven't exactly championed the cause either. Both parties just want your vote, they don't care about us beyond that. If they did, poverty wouldn't be just as bad, if not worse, than it was decades ago.

Opportunity and a robust economy is the way to financial self-sufficiency for all of us, regardless of skin color. It's also the way to fix our budget woes. If our government was really of and by the people, we'd be making progress on this instead of fighting over which party will give us the most free stuff. The economy is on fire and we are at the point where we have more jobs than people to work them. Now, RIGHT NOW, is the time when we should be preparing people in the welfare system to step into the workforce and begin to provide for themselves. Yes, I know that white people are in the welfare system too, but it's disproportionately black, and that is a sad thing for black people to be locked into dependency when they could be truly free.

Remember what JFK said; "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country". He was probably the last Democrat president who was actually a fiscal conservative and cared for the people. Clinton (Bill) had some good points fiscally and economically, but marred by other issues.

Please understand that I am stating these things, not as a partisan but as a compassionate American. We need to help each other, and we need to help our country. But politics divides us (by design) and prevents us from working together to better ourselves.

Cain is actually right. The only thing you didn't say is, "What has the Democratic Party done for minorities?" If the Democratic Party is so bad it shouldn't take much for Republicans to sway minorities to their party. The only problem is Republicans are in the driver's seat and I can't name anything they have done for minorities except tell them to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

Speaking of MLK

“It’s all right to tell a man to lift himself by his own bootstraps, but it is cruel jest to say to a bootless man that he ought to lift himself by his own bootstraps.” - MLK

The first thing that comes to your mind is black people are on welfare? Can you explain why that is? Yes, percentage wise there is disproportionate number of minority recipients but in sheer numbers welfare recipients are largely white. This is true in a system that is designed for white people to excel.

This video has caused quite a stir. Would you say this video is an accurate depiction of society?

Nope, I'm not much on the booze. I have no need to drown my misery in alcohol because I'm a happy person.

If you say so...

But really, based on your extremely broad and somewhat inaccurate interpretation of what constitutes hate, happy could mean just about anything.

Cain is right about what? He made no actual point. He hasn't made an actual point in a long time, only sling insults.

Why did I make a point about black people on welfare? Because you brought race into the discussion in post #56 where you tried to claim the GOP was racist. My response was that neither party is doing much for race relations, especially the Democrats.

If you can't discuss the issues of race relations without getting an attitude, then that just proves that you're part of the problem. As I stated above: we need to come together and put our country ahead of partisanship if we are to ever make things better.

I and others have posted fact after fact proving the propaganda you regurgitate wrong, but you're too afraid to even read it.

And you wonder why we say you can't think with your own head.

The good news is...more and more people are leaving your side every day and being introduced to intellectual freedom. I hope you're emotionally prepared for the ass whoopin that your precious Democrats will be getting in the mid-terms.

Today @realDonaldTrump donated his $400,000

salary to rebuilding military cemeteries...

:good:

Does this mean he's not going to bill tax payers for all of the times millions were spent staying at his properties? Or reimburse tax payers for the tens of millions in security renovations and the rest of this? $400,000 doesn't even amount to a drop in the bucket. How about helping veterans that are still living and need assistance?
