Clark Funeral Home Posted March 17, 2018 Report Share Posted March 17, 2018 Eileen Ruby Parson, age 75, of Austell, GA., passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018. She was born on January 19, 1943 in Ellijay, GA., to the late Reed Wimpey and Thelma Gammel. Mrs. Parson worked as a homemaker and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Powder Springs, GA. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 59 years, Charles Edward Parson. Survivors include her son, Steve and Stacey Parson of Villa Rica, GA., daughter, Leisa and Willie Cantrell of Douglasville, GA., brother, Paul Wimpey of Marietta, GA., Sister, Joan and Dan Lacey of Marietta, GA., four grandchildren; Stephen and Shannon Parson of Douglasville, GA., Chase Cantrell of Douglasville, GA., Kerri Harris of Iowa and her great grandchild, Addison Parson. Several nieces and nephews and a number of other relatives are also survived by her. Funeral services for Mrs. Parson will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Hollis officiating. Interment will follow at New Georgia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
