Betsy Jane Shipp, age 80, of Powder Springs, GA., passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018. She was born on August 9, 1937 in Lexington, KY., to the late Hugh and Linnie Shipp. Mrs. Shipp worked as a sales clerk for sears for more than 20 years and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 2 sisters and her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Ronnie Keith Shipp of Powder Springs, GA., her 2 sons; Hugh and Donna Kirk of Cedartown, GA., Troy and Robin Bowman of Cumming, GA., her 4 daughters; Clarice Lee of Dallas, GA., Phyllis Gilbert of Dallas, GA., Janet and Keith Davis of Douglasville, GA., Kim and Andy Smith of Powder Springs, GA., her brother, Joe and Shirley Bonta of Lexington, KY., her ten grandchildren and her 11 great- grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews are also survived by her.

In accordance to Mrs. Shipps wishes her body was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced as soon as they become available.
