Jonelle Dupree, age 91, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. She was born on February 25, 1926, in Dallas, GA, to the late Dennis & Julia Hardy, and was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd B. Dupree; daughter, Gwen Dupree Hooker; sisters, Joan Hardy Ratteree, Margaret Hardy Durham, and Joyce Walton Thompkins; brothers, Romaine Hardy and David Hardy. Mrs. Dupree retired from the Department of Agriculture as a secretary, then worked for 12 years as a teacher’s aide for the Paulding County School System, and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include sons, Ron & Tamma Dupree of Villa Rica, GA, Joe & Christy Dupree of Dallas, GA, and Dan & Sheri Dupree of Dallas, GA; God-daughter, Denise Cole of TX; brothers, James & Maureen Hardy of Marietta, GA; thirteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017, at 11 AM, at Bethel United Methodist Church, with Reverend Mark Nysewander and Elder Merle Barron officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, with grandsons, Samuel Dupree, Jody Dupree, Craig Dupree, Jonah Dupree, Grant Dupree, and Mason Dupree serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 21, 2017, from 4 PM until 8 PM.

Jonelle was a good Christian woman who was well-loved and respected by all who knew her.

She will be missed.
